The evidence is in his two part statement. It is quite clear what he means.
Dawson is the captain of Spurs. Why do think he was ever an option for Saints?
You personally aren't paying anything. If Cortese and the Liebherr estate are comfortable with the spending and we can afford it, why are you so bothered?
I was doing games against the 3 teams above us and the 3 teams below.
In any case we didn't struggle against Norwich, Fulham x2 and Swansea. We were ontop in all 4 games, that isn't struggling.
Do they? Why?
Do they? Of the 6 teams around us (3 above and 3 below), we've won 4 and lost 2.
QPR 1 Saints 3
Saints 2 Newcastle 0
Saints 1 Reading 0
Saints 4 Aston Villa 1
Saints 0 Wigan 2
Saints 0 Sunderland 1
Pretty much all of your posts and threads you have started have a negative spin. Even if you really are a Saints fan, can you not see why that would grate with others? Cheer up, this is a golden era in Saints history.
Please provide some evidence of a "$6m release clause".
$6m = £3.7m
Do you honestly think Cortese would sign a player for £12m and put a £3.7m release clause in his contract? ffs
4 of our best players didn't play against Chelsea.
Lambert
Lallana
Ramirez
Clyne
I'm not saying we'd have won, but with them playing it would make a big difference.
If Steven Davis plays, it'll probably be him as captain again. Captained both Rangers and his country so should make him a good candidate against his first professional club.
Jon Harley, Brian Howard, Mustapha Dumbuya and Lee Williamson all released.
Next they'll be recalling the kids on loan and using them in the 1st team like any other club that has been in admin for 10 months. Oh, wait, this is Pompey...
So what? Boruc has 46 international caps for Poland and has spent the last 2 years in Serie A for Fiorentina towards the top of a top European league. Before that he played in a number of European campaigns for Celtic. That should be more than enough "experience" to cope in the Premier League.
Give him a run of games (which he hasn't had yet) and he should (at least in theory) be more than good enough for us. How is goalkeeping in Serie A really that much different from goalkeeping in the Premier League?
