  1. and that keeps Wham out of Europe too :-)
  2. Currently fifth, where yesterdays Daily Fail said it was impossible for Southampton to finish!!
  3. Did the club actually commission this design? Looks stunning.........
  4. Surely it's not just about revenue. What encouraging people to see live football, instead of the sold out signs up so frequently.
  5. They stole Titanic decades ago. It was a Southampton tragedy not a Liverpool one......
  6. Take the total capacity up to around 40k would be ok in my book. But please no "safer" standing.
  7. All he will get here is about half the proceeds from the sale of Wanyama and Mane..........
  8. It's like this every year with wham, they are always signing everyone. All publicity etc etc
  9. I think they should have their ground bulldozed as a punishment!
  10. Well the finest shops on the South Coast can look forward to being mentioned in the same breath as Barcelona, Amsterdam, Milan, Paris and now Southampton. Should be good for the cities profile.
  11. Any one else remember the last time we played Palace in the final home game of the season - 1971, Southampton won 6-0!
  12. Not quite sure why this is made such a huge deal, he was on a five year deal anyway when he came here eight months ago. Now extended by another two. I just hope some some trigger clause hasn't been inserted meaning he can leave if Liverpool offer 20mil or something. I'd rather see extensions signed by Wanyama, Mane, Koeman and Bertrand and co.
  13. It is annoying, Rovers looked a tough one to crack. So it's now Argyle v Community and Wimbledon v Stanley.
  14. I see the odds on Walcot signing are now down to 8/1, whilst Chamberlaine is out at 18/1!
  15. Unfortunately it still seems to be the same club. Otherwise they would/should have had to start at least two divisions lower down the league pyramid - like Hereford had to, with a changed name. The whole pompey scenario did seem very fishy to me.
  16. It would be good business even just for a season. If Southampton had had a 20 goal plus striker for either of the last couple of seasons, they would have challenged for the title.
  17. My sentiments too. I can still remember 1978 when they held us to a draw on the last day of the season, denying Southampton the old Div 2 title. The fact that they needed the point to get promoted is by the by. In my lifetime Saints have still not won a league title, possibly an unenviable record that few other league teams equal, except maybe spurs in the last 54 years?
  18. Want them to lose today on every score. I'd rather Chelsea caught us, than spurs win the league. Anyway I always think European matches are a hinderance for clubs like Southampton. Though mind it would be sweet, if it were Saints that put the final nail in that coffin of spurs winning the league.
  19. Of course we will.....
  20. The annual A3 derby at Kingstonian.............
  21. In away Leicester's success is an inditement of the current status quo/rules. Only a team that was really bad the previous season, being able to gate crash the elite. Anybody else like Southampton, would have been stripped of their talent.
  22. Just imagine all those plastic Man U fans, watching a proper football team with genuine fans win the title. Difficult not to laugh at Toby or Pochetino faces just now.
  23. SW5 SAINT

    Ched Evans

I've always thought on this one "beyond all reasonable doubt" I don't think so.....
  24. Personally I'm just happy for them that they at last seem to have found there level - the fourth tier of English football......
  25. It was Sunderland though.......
