If that's true, it's a terrible idea. A professional foul is one that is done purely to prevent the other player scoring with no attempt to win the ball. If the player knows they might not get sent off, it will encourage them to make these cynical fouls. The big teams where players and managers will intimidate refs and get let off with a yellow, then a Saints player will make an honest attempt to win the ball and be given red. Backwards step.

Yes he did OK today but remember when Tadic was top quality at the start of the season? That's when he was on the left. Since Ron started playing him on the right before xmas, things have changed. If I were manager, it would be Mane and Pelle up front with Tadic on the left and WP or Long on the right. I really think we play best with that formation.

Tadic is quite one footed and links up with Bertrand very well. Why does Ron always put him on the right? Long and Mane can play either side (although Mane should be up top). I've played and watched football for 20 years and I don't understand it. I need a football genius to talk me though it please!

The best reception for Lallana would be to completely ignore him like we would an Aston Villa sub coming on. Then if Lambert also comes on give him a clap, that would put Lallana in his place.

Mane is scoring the goals atm so don't think it's a big problem that Pelle isn't. We often don't have a creative midfielder in behind him which means that he has to do all the hard work of holding up the ball himself and does a very good job of it mostly. That's just the way we play. 3rd in the Prem, I don't think you can be too critical of our approach.
