I'm watching through the website myp2p link 1 not too bad so far

I wouldn't pay any of the fee's we sold for as i think we got a very good price for all of these players and none (possibly Lambert back in his day) are worth what we sold for. I too do not understand the Chambers love in, he is good yes, but I wouldn't have him in my starting line up at Saints.

I think Jack Rodwell & Scott Sinclair would be good options, look to kick-start their careers, they obviously have the talent and they could speak to the younger/academy players and explain that a "dream" big money move to a big 4 isn't always the best move career move especially internationally wise and its better to be playing consistently than sat on a bench and only starting games against Degenham in the cup, like what is about to happen to Chambers. Koeman knows Guidetti so that may not be a bad move either, surely a better back up option that Sharp (awaits the abuse) and Mayuka.

Wow logged on and thought that's a few new pages since lunch time there must be rumours of in comings ......... But no just the same old posters having the same old arguments. I suppose it is a forum maybe you could start a 'I want an argument thread' so those logging in on to see if there is any transfer news don't have to scroll through so much crap

I would be very happy with Vlaar, I work with & know a lot of Villa fans and like pangy said they all think he's their most important player even above Benteke. To be honest I'd love it if we got him just to annoy them because I have to keep listening to "you're being ripped apart just like Villa were, you'll be fighting relegation next year" they still portray us as a small burnley(esque) team

I dont know about being an academy player but isn't he at Southampton/Solent University doing Sports Science??? if he was there then he wouldnt be a full time academy player

There must be a few reasons why no premier league club has taken a chance on Rhodes as yet he has been touted for ages for a big move

I don't get this theory that all the players want out because they all believed what Cortese sold them and now he's gone they don't believe anymore. It was always going to be a massive task to get us in to the top 4 and if we had of get into the top 4 the chances are we would have replaced these players with bigger & better players anyway. Lambert left because it was Liverpool. Lallana has the lure of champions league football, Shaw has left for arguably one of the biggest clubs in the world for an absolute ridiculous wage. As with the already mentioned & Schneiderlin & Lovren they have been on international duty with players who play at massive clubs who will probably have been talking about the 'holy grail' of champions league. They also probably think playing for a top 4 club will help them cement places in international squads. I think unfortunately we have been victims of our own quick rise & more hampered this year because of World Cup. It would be nice to keep hold of Schneiderlin for at least another year. He stayed with us in league 1 when he was being told by the French set up to leave so fingers crossed.

Teams getting relegated from the PL and potential signings
westmidlandsaint replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Depending on who actually goes only include dead teams I think could go. Norwich - Ruddy, Redmond Cardiff - Caulker, Medel Fulham - Stekelenburg, Holtby (I know he's only on loan) Sunderland - West Brom - Berahino, Yacob (although we are covered in this position) Crystal Palace - -
living in the West Midlands i have heard a lot about the goings on at Coventry and its a disgrace. I have signed and shared on facebook

How can West Ham be discussing terms with Lambert, isn't that tapping up if we haven't given permission...........unless of course we have but surely that news would have become public
-
This is exactly why we need to try and get the best out of Ramirez and give him game time, not many of our other players have that awareness and skill in their locker to play that type of ball

How long can roy ignore our other English players?
westmidlandsaint replied to Batman's topic in The Saints
Everyone's favourite person Neil Warnock was on TalkSport this morning singing Nathaniel Clyne's praises saying with England's rightback's ie Walker & Johnson they are both good going forward but with Clyne he can defend as well as attack. -
The tackle on Welbeck was first class as was his all round game.Played better than any of the united midfielders

I think we are going to click very soon and give someone a bit of a pasting

Yes he does drink Malibu & Coke in pubs Bearsy. I use to manage a few pubs/bars/restaurants in Romsey, including Judges (part owned by ex hants cricketer Robin Smith) and have served him.

Yet after the west brom game, Paul merson on sky said that Wanyama looked a £20m player and should be at a top 4 club

I kind of get where you are coming from, however I really don't think we should be cashing in. Cork is a very good squad player as well as being a very good CM player he can also cover a number of other positions. The one thing that has let us down in the past has been our strength in depth and on Saturday I finally looked at our bench and thought wow that's better. It will only take a couple of injuries and/or suspensions and Cork will be in the 11 again.
