  1. Would be surprised if Walcott went to Everton, being as he is/was a Liverpool fan.
  2. More likely Bill Gates, it ran on Windows XP and hasn't been updated.
  3. Selling club do not pay agents fees. Agents are paid by the player and the buying club. Why would the selling club pay an agent, in a case like VVD's. The time a selling club pays agents fees is when they are trying to offload a player and need to find a buyer. The original author of this item about VVD's transfer, the so called Deputy Football Correspondent of the Times has certainly caused some confusion by his Fake News. The article as I said before was just utter bowlocks but seems to have been swallowed hook line and sinker by some on here.
  4. Not really, he doesn't score goals this time of the year. Might be useful when the weather gets warmer, end of March/early April.
  5. I think this report can be seen to be what it is, utter bullocks. Just the last sentence shows the author knows nothing about how transfers work. I'm sticking by what we were told that it was £70m up front. The good news is that the Celtic cut is only 10% on the profit, so a bit less than expected (had assumed it was a straight 10% but really that was a silly assumption). By the way do we have a sell on clause for Walcott, do we get a discount if we buy him back? (just kidding)
  6. Reported that it would be £70m up front, with £5m add-ons. 10% (£7m) to Celtic.
  7. ... and creates our goal (Adam & Dave waxing lyrical about his contribution to the goal).
  8. Can't see the article (is there a link) but this is at odds with what was said when the transfer was done, which was £70m up front (with 5m add-ons). The Celtic cut comes out of that obviously but we should still be getting upwards of £60m. Should we believe what is written in a Murdoch rag?
  9. How would this guy qualify for a work permit? No internationals, does he have a Spanish passport or something?
  10. That would be easy to answer, as he didn't sing on Mighty Quinn. He left before it was recorded, Mike d'Abo sang it originally (I think Chris Thomson was vocalist when the Earthband recorded it live in 1978).
  11. Cedric and Pied both out is a bit of a bummer, and with Hoedt out as well makes the RB position a bit of an issue (not that Hoedt would play there but Stephens does). May be an opportunity for Valery or someone else from the u23s. Strange that Hoedt is still out, if it was "just" the concussion issue. Good to hear that MP is sticking with McCarthy in goal.
  12. We have not been top half for most of the season, 6 weeks out of 21 so far, and several of those 6 we were 10th.
  13. Technically correct, but in the real world the club has to manage players. They can't just say "sorry, son you're not playing", they are professional players being prevented from fully earning their living. They tend to loan them or move them on/terminate contracts. Bit different with the European rules where it is only a small number of games they are not available in.
  14. and remained there...
  15. The Premier League Web site includes Jack Rose. I thought he wasn't included but seems he is, if so we have only one spare slot.
  16. ... and that is an issue because?
  17. Watford are not really our rivals.
  18. But is this a real injury or are they doing a Virgil?
  19. Rubbish - ish. John Williams (West Brom chairman) http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-brom-chairman-john-williams-11519537 You might be right about Jeff Mostyn recently, he used to be a big mouth and always in the news but has been very quiet since he had heart surgery in June. Krueger has always been a disaster waiting to happen, goes to ground when things start going a bit Pete Tong. Still maybe he is off motivating people by playing the awful My Way song.
  20. You are as deluded as a deluded thing. Would be lucky to get £30m for what we have left.
  21. Hope to **** he has been working harder than that. How hard was it to call Liverpool and say, "£75m and he's yours"?
  22. £75m for this season's van Dijk is good deal, he has been a shadow of his former self. Maybe he will get back k to his old form. ****ed off its Liverpool but hey ho, good riddance I say now.
  23. Can't see him being sacked until we have someone else lined up, because we really don't have anyone now who can act as caretaker for a game or two. Hopefully we will have someone in place before the end of the year though.
  24. We are in trouble regardless of Chas' inness or outness. Sounds like he may be out whether injured or not.
  25. We are in trouble whether Chas is in or out to be honest. Sounds like he may be out whether injured or not.
