  1. It needs an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 10. Les is still waiting for the nice people from India who phone regularly to provide MS upgrades.
  2. Have been saying this was happening for about 2 years now, but the happy clappers said everything was rosy. One area that does seem to be improving though is the u18s where things have started to look up since Danny Butterfield was appointed. Needs serious surgery at the top of the Academy.
  3. We won't go 2 up top while we only have 2 fit strikers. Even if the thin one thought it would be a good idea.
  4. Wrong, we were set back by the first goal. Giving the ball away, letting them back in and not reacting effectively to the changes made by the opposition. We were very good first half, no doubt, but time and again this manager and these players cannot react to changes and cannot maintain momentum. Yes the equaliser was disgraceful, but it had been coming all half, if that hadn't gone in likely another one would. Still there do seem to be some small signs of improvement.
  5. Usually when it gets dark
  6. Too small, wonder how Eden Hazard made it then. Taller than Redmond, maybe you're right.
  7. Good result. Nice to know that we should be OK when we drop down to the Southern League.
  8. Not convinced he will go to Everton. Note that reports say Everton are negotiating with Arsenal. Arsenal are clearly dealing with the potential buyer who appears to be making the best offer. The still has to agree, and being a Liverpool fan I have some doubts that he will do so if there are alternatives available. Maybe straw clutching, also not convinced that Theo is an answer anyway, a player who has always had pace but not much of a footballing brain, and who wasn't greatly improved in that sense by Arse Wenger.
  9. He's still playing in Senegal, but will be 41 in May.
  10. You seem to have missed some data there, like all the seasons when he has scored plenty of goals, including the last season and a half. You seriously don't think he is better than our current shower? Really makes you wonder. Total nut job, granted, at least he was, sometimes people change as they mature.
  11. Would be surprised if Walcott went to Everton, being as he is/was a Liverpool fan.
  12. More likely Bill Gates, it ran on Windows XP and hasn't been updated.
  13. Selling club do not pay agents fees. Agents are paid by the player and the buying club. Why would the selling club pay an agent, in a case like VVD's. The time a selling club pays agents fees is when they are trying to offload a player and need to find a buyer. The original author of this item about VVD's transfer, the so called Deputy Football Correspondent of the Times has certainly caused some confusion by his Fake News. The article as I said before was just utter bowlocks but seems to have been swallowed hook line and sinker by some on here.
  14. Not really, he doesn't score goals this time of the year. Might be useful when the weather gets warmer, end of March/early April.
  15. I think this report can be seen to be what it is, utter bullocks. Just the last sentence shows the author knows nothing about how transfers work. I'm sticking by what we were told that it was £70m up front. The good news is that the Celtic cut is only 10% on the profit, so a bit less than expected (had assumed it was a straight 10% but really that was a silly assumption). By the way do we have a sell on clause for Walcott, do we get a discount if we buy him back? (just kidding)
  16. Reported that it would be £70m up front, with £5m add-ons. 10% (£7m) to Celtic.
  17. ... and creates our goal (Adam & Dave waxing lyrical about his contribution to the goal).
  18. Can't see the article (is there a link) but this is at odds with what was said when the transfer was done, which was £70m up front (with 5m add-ons). The Celtic cut comes out of that obviously but we should still be getting upwards of £60m. Should we believe what is written in a Murdoch rag?
  19. How would this guy qualify for a work permit? No internationals, does he have a Spanish passport or something?
  20. That would be easy to answer, as he didn't sing on Mighty Quinn. He left before it was recorded, Mike d'Abo sang it originally (I think Chris Thomson was vocalist when the Earthband recorded it live in 1978).
  21. Cedric and Pied both out is a bit of a bummer, and with Hoedt out as well makes the RB position a bit of an issue (not that Hoedt would play there but Stephens does). May be an opportunity for Valery or someone else from the u23s. Strange that Hoedt is still out, if it was "just" the concussion issue. Good to hear that MP is sticking with McCarthy in goal.
  22. We have not been top half for most of the season, 6 weeks out of 21 so far, and several of those 6 we were 10th.
  23. Technically correct, but in the real world the club has to manage players. They can't just say "sorry, son you're not playing", they are professional players being prevented from fully earning their living. They tend to loan them or move them on/terminate contracts. Bit different with the European rules where it is only a small number of games they are not available in.
  24. and remained there...
  25. The Premier League Web site includes Jack Rose. I thought he wasn't included but seems he is, if so we have only one spare slot.
