Good luck to the lad. Interesting that he was an England schoolboy international, wonder where it went wrong - so many top quality schoolboys never quite make it. He clearly must have more talent than your average non-league player. The thing that is puzzling me is how this deal has been done now. I always understood the transfer window applied to all professional clubs. I don't really know what level Easteigh are at (Southern League?) but I'm surprised that a transfer is allowed at the moment.

Good to see him getting amongst the goals (even if against FGR Reserves). It will do his confidence good. Just because he is curretly not first choice, it is very likely that if he performs in the reserves that he wil earn a chance again in the future, and we may be glad of him if Ricky gets suspended or injured (of course I hope that doesn't happen but we need to be realistic about players availability for 50 games a season)

There used to be a rule that no team could loan more than 2 players from another team. Unless that rule has changed I would treat the story in the Sun with the contempt it deserves. With Poke and Thomson already with the Gulls I don't see how Matt could go there as well. Other than the pictures, and updates on some nomark Soap stars I would be suspcious of anything written in that rag (or any of the other red tops for that matter). Of course if true then I would be delighted as Torquay are and always have been my 2nd team.

Is he related to Noggin the Nog?

I don't think there was any need to refer to Wayne Rooney again and especially his acne problems

As far as I know no-one is cup-tied, I don't think any of our squad has played in the Qualifying rounds this season for any other team. Some of our loanees may not be allowed to play by their parent clubs, but that has nothing to do with being cup-tied per se. It may be of course that they want to avoid them being cup-tied in future rounds.

What did you have on the other 3 knuckles?

They used to wait until after we played them and won before sacking their manager. Seems times have changed.

We should aim to win both games, winning breeds confidence. No other way.

Pardew to win manager of the month for october?
VectisSaint replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Hence it should go to Kenny Jackett given that his team beat Boothroyd's today and so have the best record in the division this month. Simples. -
Pardew to win manager of the month for october?

Maybe he does, just prefer not to win it, always seems to precede a bad result. Anyway, looks like the Millwall manager is more desrving (same points and better GD) -
I thought Hammond had to score first

Nope, OG

Nope, we will still be above them on GD Tranmere of course could go above us if they score

No, it was Barry Hearn, chairman of LO. It was last season when we went into Admin, and he ranted that we deserved all the penalties we could get because we were cheats (basically).

1 Mick Channon 2 Ron Davies 3 Bobby Stokes 4 Peter Crouch 5 Alan McLaughlin 6 Jimmy Dickenson 7 Now I'm stuck...

Agree about Tommy Jenkins, one of the most frustrating players ever, couldn't believe he was the first name I read. I thought then I would not like the list but actually cannot fault it much, and deffo agree with the top 5. As always with these things the list is biased to the modern era, I think CB Fry is a major omission although I did not see him play I would also agree about George O'Brien. Personally despite his Pompey and Spuds connections I would have to include Joe Jordan as well. I would also have thought Theo would have got an honorary mention, but I guess he left too soon.

Will we sympathise with Orient when they get 10 point deduction after the comments made by their chairman (Barry Hearn?) when we went into Admin? Southend is a different matter.

It was probably raining at Elm Park though 2 words you never thought you would hear in the same sentence: "Rasiak" and "pounce". Well I heard it tonight on Sky.

Was that the season we were pelted with stones, bottles and what have you that the nice friendly folks of Luton lobbed over the metal cage at us? Nice place, Luton, not.
-
Except it was actually 2006 when Snodin was in charge (sorry, I mean when Burley was manager).
-
Would love to have seen Alf Ramsey play, but a bit before my time (but not much) Glad I did see Paine, Sydenham and Davies though and frquently, to boot.

You're asking for trouble, suggesting that the Chapel end ever made any noise. The uber fans believe that no-one other than the Northam ever made any noise of any sort ever Unfortunately the acoustics in the stadium (and many others) just give the impression that all of the noise comes from the bit you are standing in.

Great, so the following game we will be bottom of the CCC and we could almost push for a play-off place in the CCC after 46 games
