  1. Getting rid of the holly leaves left over from Christmas was a good move as well
  2. The stadium was designed to be increased to 2 levels on 3 sides, 40000 would be easy, probably only need 1 side expanded By the way, your wish about the "gas towery things" - any suggestion where you would store the gas for Southampton instead? All the infrastructure of the national grid is connected to here, so a change would not be easy. By the way they are called "Holders" and are still in continuous use (hence why they go up and down depending on the amount of gas being stored)
  3. I heard they will be opening the corners but closing the sides and ends
  4. Doesn't say that at all. It says they have purchased the assets, prinicipally the football club. That does not mean they have bought SLH. That would require an agreement with the shareholders. The assets have been bought and SLH will now be liquidated because it is no longer a going concern (because it has no assets)
  5. Its MarKus The guy has spent a fortune on us, the least people can do is try to spell his name right
  6. Happy Birthday to me Happy Birthday to me Happy Birthday dear VectisSaint Happy Birthday to me Thank you Markus, you've made an old geezer very happy (so maybe thats 2 of us)
  7. Should have used one of those Liebherr cranes
  8. Please let this finish this afternoon. If my birthday is ****ed up by more ****ing about I will not be a happy bunny. I want to go out tonight and be in a good frame of mind for the first time in about 3 months.
  9. A nice Emmantal sandwich and a Toblerone should sort you out.
  10. Yippee, free ticket
  11. Excellent, so Lowe and Wilde not involved, thank **** for that
  12. probably not a good example. If i wanted to go to a jackson concert (which I don't), Jermaine might be a better bet now...
  13. Fork lift trucks. Don't think they make them. They do however have a nice line in model cement mixer lorries and only 26Eur :prayer:
  14. Jo Tessem, his record in the lower leagues is brilliant.
  15. The Football Club is still operating, so if there is not a manager someone has to make a decision to emply one, even if it is only on a week by week basis. The SFC Board will have decided this (with permissions from Fry). The SFC Board is the guy whose daughter is in EastEnders (whatever that is) and Dave Jones (and maybe others). The Contract won't be an issue is new owners don't like it, they will just tear it up and pay compensation, as always happens.
  16. See earlier posts, but then again they could have been a wind-up, can find no evidence myself.
  17. Well its a significant improvement on take into relegation zone and stay there (Redknapp and Lawrie Mac) , or even take over in relegation zone and stay there (Wotte). If Wotte is able to gain us promotion next season with similar points to Pearson with Leicester (even taking 10 point deduction into account) then we might all agree that he is as good as Pearson. Somehow though I doubt that Wotte will even be with us at Christmas, or even the end of August, at least not as manager.
  18. Although the late Hans Liebherr may not have made his money by giving it away to football clubs, since he died his son and daughter who now own the company have apparently alreay rescued one football club in Austria, and also do give money to charity, as per the article in the Mail "£50,000 was donated to three local charities as part of a deal for the Swiss company to supply Southampton Container Terminals with two cranes" So, the thing is they are not in a position now where they need to make money, they can afford to be seen as benefactors as long as their huge business empire continues to tick along nicely as it is clearly doing.
  19. Hello Mr Barclay, this is Isolde Liebherr. I was wondering whether me and my brother Willi could settle the Southampton Football Club debt. What we had in mind was that we would purchase your little bank and then wipe off the debt. Do you agree?
  20. Nice cranes, wine coolers and hotels... http://www.liebherr.com/lh/en/default_lh.asp
  21. Don't think there is anything technically stopping anyone signing a contract, the Football Club Board could sanction it, but why would anyone sign a contract with a Club that technically might not exist soon, or alternatively may offer more or less money than current.
  22. Here they are: 1 - A N Other 2 - A N Other 3 - A N Other 4 - A N Other 5 - A N Other 6 - A N Other 7 - A N Other 8 - A N Other 9 - A N Other 10 - A N Other 11 - A N Other 12 - A N Other 13 - A N Other 14 - A N Other 15 - A N Other 16 - A N Other 17 - A N Other 18 - A N Other
  23. As with most freds...
  24. So John B&Q is going to take us over and call us Melchester Rovers. When will we sign Roy of the Rovers, HCDAJFU. He might rename St Marys the Curly Wurly stadium. That would be cool, might be better than the Toblerone Arena. I think this chap is just what we need, bring it on.
  25. Legging it is what managers do who think they are big time charlies, such as Ince, came a cropper when he left MK for Balckburn. A complete and utter Tosser IMHO of course. I am really really pleased that he is out of the equation (will probably have to put up with him getting MK to beat us this season though I suppose) As for Jo, who knows, might explain why he is down at Staplewood though
