  1. See earlier posts, but then again they could have been a wind-up, can find no evidence myself.
  2. Well its a significant improvement on take into relegation zone and stay there (Redknapp and Lawrie Mac) , or even take over in relegation zone and stay there (Wotte). If Wotte is able to gain us promotion next season with similar points to Pearson with Leicester (even taking 10 point deduction into account) then we might all agree that he is as good as Pearson. Somehow though I doubt that Wotte will even be with us at Christmas, or even the end of August, at least not as manager.
  3. Although the late Hans Liebherr may not have made his money by giving it away to football clubs, since he died his son and daughter who now own the company have apparently alreay rescued one football club in Austria, and also do give money to charity, as per the article in the Mail "£50,000 was donated to three local charities as part of a deal for the Swiss company to supply Southampton Container Terminals with two cranes" So, the thing is they are not in a position now where they need to make money, they can afford to be seen as benefactors as long as their huge business empire continues to tick along nicely as it is clearly doing.
  4. Hello Mr Barclay, this is Isolde Liebherr. I was wondering whether me and my brother Willi could settle the Southampton Football Club debt. What we had in mind was that we would purchase your little bank and then wipe off the debt. Do you agree?
  5. Nice cranes, wine coolers and hotels... http://www.liebherr.com/lh/en/default_lh.asp
  6. Don't think there is anything technically stopping anyone signing a contract, the Football Club Board could sanction it, but why would anyone sign a contract with a Club that technically might not exist soon, or alternatively may offer more or less money than current.
  7. Here they are: 1 - A N Other 2 - A N Other 3 - A N Other 4 - A N Other 5 - A N Other 6 - A N Other 7 - A N Other 8 - A N Other 9 - A N Other 10 - A N Other 11 - A N Other 12 - A N Other 13 - A N Other 14 - A N Other 15 - A N Other 16 - A N Other 17 - A N Other 18 - A N Other
  8. As with most freds...
  9. So John B&Q is going to take us over and call us Melchester Rovers. When will we sign Roy of the Rovers, HCDAJFU. He might rename St Marys the Curly Wurly stadium. That would be cool, might be better than the Toblerone Arena. I think this chap is just what we need, bring it on.
  10. Legging it is what managers do who think they are big time charlies, such as Ince, came a cropper when he left MK for Balckburn. A complete and utter Tosser IMHO of course. I am really really pleased that he is out of the equation (will probably have to put up with him getting MK to beat us this season though I suppose) As for Jo, who knows, might explain why he is down at Staplewood though
  11. Not at all. It depends what the new people are offering. Pinnacle may have been offering 100% pay off (I 've no idea if they were). The new guys might be offering a lot less, 18p in the £ perhaps (this is what Luton paid their creditors). There is no reason to suppose that different bidders have different prices.
  12. You think one of the luvvies has sired a son :smt107 Wouldn't he be called Damien?
  13. Thank God for that, would have been one of the worst options available, and would have ****ed off as soon as something else came up at a slightly higher level I understand Jo Tessem is being lined up to take over, following his success with BAT Sports
  14. Just to be pedantic, the OS says Jo is trying to maintain his fitness "ahead of a possible move back to Sweden". He has never played in Sweden as far as I know. He comes from Norway, not Sweden, and played in Norway for Lyn (Oslo) and Molde. So how can he be going back to Sweden (unless he went there on holiday or something)? These bloody official sites are so shoddy Maybe could be our next manager, after his success with Totton & Eling
  15. More likely Barclays Bank and Aviya
  16. There is no person who was registered at birth in England & Wales called Rupert Vincent Lowe. There is a Rupert W M Lowe who was born in 1963, don't know if the W stands for Winston unfortunately. Our own much loved R J G Lowe was of course born/created 1957. It is quite scary that there are 7 people who have been registered as Rupert Lowe in England & Wales since 1957, one poor little blighter was given the name Rupert Lowe in 2003, how sad is that, imagine growing up with that handicap.
  17. Calm down dear, its only a Message Board.
  18. Well we don't want anyone that wasn't prepared to play for nothing do we? Bloody prima donna. We used t' live in shoe box in't middle of road....
  19. Skins (can't afford anything else)
  20. There may be a right to appeal within the Blue Square League (or at least the BSL may actually allow appeals, unlike the FL) Spotted afterwards that they plan to appeal to the FA, who have upheld appeals in the past. Wonder why we don't appeal to the FA, rather than the FL.
  21. Would be even funnier if Wilde was involved (not) - Abercrombie Fitch & Wilde!!!!
  22. Wilde - no no no James Kaye - as in the BTCC driver?
  23. Hopefuly nothing to do with Gillett who is trying to get Donington ready for the British GP next year (CEO of Donington Park). He is in deep ****, looks like the GP in 2010 will still be at Silverstone. He will lose so much money over that. The other alternative is that it is our own midfielder How many Simon Gilletts are there?
  24. I think a live Saint might be more useful than a dead one
  25. Thought Rasiak was already back...
