  1. What the f*ck did I just watch?
  2. Nice of you to remember where I lived 2 years ago Turkish, did you have that filed away in your "SWF Members" folder? You know, the one you keep next to the one that you've got your detailed notes of Danny Dyer films in? For the record I live in Portswood now, and cooked the curry myself (Chicken Madras). I can only imagine what a busy week you've had. It must be difficult being you sometimes.
  3. I've had a nice night actually, had a curry with my housemates, went to the pub for a few pints and now getting ready for some shut-eye before going up to West Ham tomorrow. Was it another night of w4nking and eating Doritos for you?
  4. Isn't RBS owned by the Bank of England anyway?
  5. What a moron. Hope he enjoys prison. And speaking of morons, haven't you got anything better to do on a Friday night than hang out on a mongboard Turkish?
  6. Tadanari was a free transfer and I think has helped to shift quite a few shirts in Asia, so he's probably not really cost us too much!
  7. I'm a big fan of the comics, and I have to say I am more interested in seeing how the story pans out from now as opposed to just wanting buckets of blood. I liked the domestic vibe that the Prison established in the comic, but I guess they did that last season with the farm. (PS: It's Kirkman as in Robert Kirkman, not like Chris f*cking Kirkland!)
  8. I bought my copy from Steam, and still no f*cking beta code!
  9. I thought Neil McCann was alright for us. Although tbf I rated Jermaine Wright at RB too.
  10. Definitely doesn't seem like there was a budget cut from the first episode - zombie kills galore!
  11. West Ham fan I know says your best bet is a hotel about 5 mins walk from the ground - can't remember what it's called though. I'm going up on the coach so I imagine the coppers at the stadium will tell us where to drink.
  12. Can you name a LB who would've stood a chance against Bale that night? Fox has done ok for Scotland, put in some good crosses and looked assured. And yes, I watched both of the games.
  13. I think we can win, although obviously they're going to pose a real threat aerially. Neutralise their long-ball play and we can do them. Would love to see us beat them, bunch of tossers they are. --------------------GAZZA---------------- CLYNE-----FONTE----MAYA------FOX ----------MORGAN----DAVIS----------- PUNCHEON----RICKIE-----LALLANA ----------------RODRIGUEZ-------------- Subs: Boruc, Frazer, Jos, Reeves, JWP, Chaplow, Mayuka.
  14. You rang, m'lord?
  15. Sentenced to 140hrs community service..
  16. Didn't get tickets yesterday. Only just taken the noose off my neck. Didn't get them first time in 11 either, so got to hold out for the resale.
  17. If you look at the subs he made, they're understandable: Puncheon off, Chaplow on Gives Lallana more license to push up into the final third with a more defensively geared player coming into midfield. Also provides more cover for Yoshi at RB. Lambert off, Guly on Adkins spoke about needing more energy up top, and that's what Guly gave us. He has pace, he ran at players and made lots of runs to pull their defenders out of position. He also dropped deeper at times to collect the ball and move it up the pitch with short passes as opposed to just lumping it up to Jay Rod. Now personally I would've taken Puncheon off for Ward-Prowse, with Davis moving to RM, and put Mayuka on for Jay Rod with Lambert still linking up playing the #10. However I don't think the subs cost us today. We were unlucky to concede the OG (Jos didn't get enough of his foot on the ball, you could see from the angle behind the goal that he was trying to put it into the Kingsland but his foot was at the wrong angle because the ball came in so quickly) and their 2nd was inevitable.
  18. Positives - Had to make lots of changes to the side due to injury (including during the match itself) but still got a point against a good team. - Schneiderlin added more tenacity and bite in the midfield than there was in his absence. - Created lots of good goalscoring opportunities. - Scored 2 goals from set-pieces - Good performances from Gazza, Fox, Schneiderlin and Davis. Negatives - Lacked pace without Clyne and Ramirez - Sat too deep in the 2nd half and surrendered the ball to them - Defensive errors cost us again - Lack of 'game changers' on the bench - Sloppy goals to concede Overall not a bad result given we had to make changes, but they were missing some of their best players too. Need to really look at defensive positioning across the team, not just the back 4.
  19. I have no idea about penalties.
  20. ITV is horrific for adverts. Never watch anything on there unless it's football, at which point when the ads come on I can nip off to get another beer.
  21. a) Your continued negative threads mentioning sensitive topics within the club (in this case, the saggy one) will put people's backs up and earn you a reputation as a WUM. b) Spending your club into administration for an FA Cup or two does not make you a world class manager, especially with the big flaws in his style like a lack of squad rotation and signing players with huge egos. c) I wasn't surprised that he missed out on the England job, as Hodgson was a much better candidate. If you look past the bullsh!t spouted by Saggy Redcrapp's red-top chums, he was never going to get it as he was far too controversial an appointment at that time for the FA to make, as well as the likelihood that he'd just stick with the same players that failed in the last few major tournaments. d) What I want for my club is stability. I want a manager who's going to stay at the club for 10+ years like a Fergie, Moyes or a Wenger. I'm sick of the revolving door mentality that pervades amongst football fans nowadays when it comes to managers. We've got somebody with the potential to be a fantastic manager here, he's intelligent, he's bringing in new training methods which are revolutionary and he's still a young manager in comparison to the likes of Fergie, Wenger etc who by all accounts should be sitting in their own p!ss in a nursing home, not sitting on the bench taking charge of 2 of the biggest teams in the world. I want the fans and the club to be patient with Nigel, for the greater good. Being a Premier League manager is extremely tough, and this is his biggest job to date, so lets cut him a little slack eh?
  22. Nicole Cortissi made a huge mistake in employing Nigal Atkins imo.
  23. Yoshida did very well, played out of position at RB for 82 minutes. Schneiderlin for me though.
  24. Just finished my first season with Saints. - Won the league by 9pts - Won the FA Cup - Lost in the Capital One Cup Final My team starting the new season: GK: Jack Butland (73) RB: Nathaniel Clyne (79) LB: Martin Olsson (78) CB: Cheikou Kouyate (79) CB: Ciaran Clark (80) RCM: Craig Gardner (78) LCM: Steven Davis (78) CAM: Gaston Ramirez (84) RW: Jose Manuel Iturbe (77) LW: Adam Lallana (82) ST: Jay Rodriguez (79) Spent big for Clark and Iturbe, didn't need to buy more than 2 players so got ones with great potential instead.
  25. Idris Elba is a fantastic actor, he was great in The Wire and was one of the few bright sparks in Prometheus. Loved Luther when it was on telly, may have to rewatch now!
