And Zanetti in reserve...crazy.

Dead Space 2, hell yeah! The first one was epic, hopefully this one will be as good (or even better perhaps...)
-
I read that as The Amazing Tommy Forecast...
-
When's your new kit coming out then mack? I saw the sneak preview the other day and it looks a bit different from your normal one:
-
2-1 to USA unfortunately, England will be overconfident after they go ahead early through Rooney, but Donovan and Cherundulo will pull 2 goals back midway through the second half to disappoint the throngs of England fans in the stadium and in the various city centres around the country. Yours, Mystic Meg

Nigeria are playing awfully, but their keeper has been outstanding. They'd be at least 5-0 down if it weren't for him, he's made 2 great stops from Higuain and Messi.
-
The K-league and J-leagues are actually pretty big draws in Asia, they attract loads of fans every week and each team is very well supported. I wasn't entirely convinced by the Korean centre backs tbh, but I thought their midfield worked excellently together and the overlapping fullbacks (Cha Du-Ri and Lee Young-Pyo) provided excellent attacking options down the flanks, and put in some good crosses.

I thought that as well, he's called Cha Du-Ri and plays for Freiburg. As MLG says, long shot though. -
Cortese out!

South Korea have been really impressive going forward considering they're playing a 4-5-1 with Park Ji-Sung playing behind a lone striker. Really threatening, they've got loads of pace in their team as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see them qualify ahead of Argentina in the group, although it'll be interesting to see how they cope against a similar nation in Nigeria.

That shirt gets better every time I see it, f*cking gorgeous!
-
That as well I am 1/4 English though, so maybe I should support them just this once...
-
Decent game so far, but Greece are playing like dogsh1t. South Korea's right back looks like HCDAJFU!
-
The passing was pretty poor, but I thought the game was very evenly balanced and there was some really exciting and tense moments. I've decided to support South Africa in the tournament now, being a Scot and that...
-
I quite like the sound now actually, gives the place some real atmosphere! Or maybe i've just gone mental from the unrelenting buzzing...
-
What a game that was, thought RSA deserved to win that in the end. Mexico were brilliant first half but sh1te in the second, and South Africa were rubbish in the first and great in the second. Hopefully that's the benchmark for the games to come!

That was a cracking strike! -
Fairly sure the two main colours have to be different in home and away shirts to avoid confusion and shirt clashes. My bet goes on dark blue with yellow trim and yellow sleeves.

Not very liberal, I agree, but it's common sense that if you want a good relationship with somebody/something then you abide by the rules. If you got married, would your wife be too happy that you went out and cheated on her? Different scenarios I know, but along the same lines. If The Echo had wanted to ensure a good relationship with SFC, they could've waited 48hrs (not that long really) and published the article when the club had done the official reveal. Instead, they published the article, got their punishment from Cortese and are now getting all p1ssy about not having the priviledges they had before. Sorry fellas, but that's just life. (The kit looks even better today than it did last night!)

Aside from the Echo argument, Lee Barnard has an absolutely tiny mouth...

Common knowledge, hence why he got such a heroe's welcome when he arrived back in Libya. That and he was a guest of Gaddaffi...

Ankaragacu are a respectable, top division Turkish side, kind of like a turkish version of Spurs or Everton. He was released on a free because he had trouble settling into the area and culture, which is fair enough considering he had lived all of his life in England beforehand. It's a big switch. It would also be unfair to say he's losing it as well, unless of course you're out there watching Ankaragacu play every week, in which case i'll let you off! Simeon Jackson has 10 caps for Canada and 1 goal. Darius Vassell has 22 caps for England and 6 goals. England play against some of the biggest footballing nations in the world on a regular basis, potentially facing the likes of Spain, France, Italy etc in tournament qualifying. Canada play against the likes of Antigua, Bermuda and Barbados in qualifying. But yes, we'll put it to bed now as we'll probably never agree on the subject! You think Jackson, I think Vassell, and that's done! -
The news was out in the public domain, but not published (as far as I know). All Cortese wanted the Echo to do was wait a day or two to publish the article, they could put it on ice until he gave the thumbs up and then they could go for it. Instead, they went completely against the wishes of the club and very unprofessionally published the article anyway. I know they're journalists, but they've got to have some morals, surely? L*we never stooped that low because he deserved the sh1t he got. Cortese, on the other hand, has been instrumental in bring a billionnaire owner to the club, appointing a brilliant manager, giving the club a new sense of pride and wellbeing, and started to structure our youth system to enable us to produce quality players for decades to come. I still don't understand why people are so negative about him - would you all prefer that we went under in the summer and we were all supporting Eastleigh right now? F*cking ridiculous. I'm all for free press as well, it's what keeps us ticking as a well-informed nation, but if you want a good relationship with a certain person, organisation, company or facility, you do as you're told. That is not what The Echo did, and that is why they've been blacklisted by the club, and rightly so imo.
-
And The Echo didn't give a flying f*ck about Cortese and the club when they printed the Staplewood article when asked to wait for 48hrs by the club itself. If they want to maintain a good relationship with the club, it'd be best to do as they were told rather than doing what they want.
-
No, i'm with Cortese et al on this one. It was a polite request not to publish the Staplewood article by the club (even though it was common knowledge by that point), but they went ahead and did it anyway. Very unprofessional, and they deserve their punishment. Can we be 100% sure that the announcements being left late is purely to annoy The Echo?
