  1. Yeah, we are back ….. to where we started. Doh. Still inconsistent.
  2. Clyne on a free? Salary is currently £60k pw. (Dons tin hat ready for pelters)
  3. Ralph commented - as part of the KWP review - that he hadn't had much chance to show off his talents yet and may get one or two starts before the end of the season. Only one or two? That doesn't suggest he's first choice. I would go for KWP for this one, but hey what do I know. They are much of a muchness.
  4. I have registered for the marketing stuff (on Monday) and nothing received either email or snail mail. Guess I won't be watching the game tonight; will have to get by with Sky Sports News.
  5. Spurs fan in the office thinks we have no chance of prising Winks off them, they rate him highly. They want Hoejberg to play WITH Winks, not replace him. He would replace Ndombele who Jose wants to see leave. He says we are welcome to KWP, Dier or any of the up and comings, but NOT Winks.
  6. Yes, STH of all Prem teams are entitled to 2 Day Passes. Details are supposed to be on each club's website. Not seen such on ours yet, but with a run of free to air games coming up, we can probably keep our powder dry until later in the season.
  7. Player exchanges has to be the way to go if we are prepared to let Forster go to Celtic. They have no cash, so let's pick 2 or 3 players and say "we'll take these for Forster".
  8. Does every journalist in the country get to ask a question? This could go on until nightfall.
  9. He's have been better off just issuing a public statement, not holding a press conference. This is now a roasting. Unless he has a Saul to Damascus enlightenment, Boris has to make a final decision on him. Anyway, we now realise his only childcare available was 260 miles from home. Nothing nearer.
  10. Boney James. New album drops soon .... hopefully into Spotify.
  11. We bought for £15M and prepared to sell on for £7M, less than half price. Seems a cheap deal to me.
  12. Apparently he's running up and down St Catherine's Hill, Winchester, to get fit. If we do resume, expect Nafe to be ready.
  13. Employment law is not that simple. We'd either have to pay his wages in full up front to cover the rest of his contract, or make him an offer of compensation for loss of office. The power is still with him. Just because we want him to leave doesn't mean we have simply tell him that and expect him to tug his forelock and leave quietly.
  14. I bet he can't either. She's cracking.
  15. We made our bed in January, then, and on it we must lie. I think your summary is correct. Ralph wanted to keep him then. Maybe the new DoF has convinced him he can bring in another striker if we sell Adams now. Frustrating to have lost £10M revenue from sales. But I think there will be a lot more. Vestegaard - Leicester offered us a huge sum that I would have taken. But we kept him. Another one where I think we will sell low now.
  16. That made me chuckle. Be a few gaps in the wall there.
  17. Sorry to hear that, Badger. It confirms my suspicion after Sunday that if you give people an inch, they'll take a yard. I also read infection rate in Germany has tripled after some easing of the lockdown. Nightingale Hospitals, stand ready for incoming.
  18. I think it's a US thing. Every presentation now seems to include a Q&A with questions pre-set and handed to the audience, then when they ask the question given to them, the speaker can say "hey, that's a great question, Dave". It doesn't encourage me to ask real questions, not at all.
  19. Yes, I agree with your approach. I am certainly not a Boris fan, but I did find myself admiring his calm yesterday when opposition MP's and random Joe Public's were zoom-questioning him with bizarre scenarios like you quote and then accusing him of not covering that specific scenario in his speech and a lack of clarity. I was watching in shock, mouthing "use common sense, dipstick". Some people seem to need rules rather than apply principles.
  20. Because testing-out by a feeder club has cost them millions, and they decide to take the risk and simply release failures at the end of short contracts.
  21. That's our best chance of getting him TBF, but they not want to pay a premium again.
  22. ...the point of life? Get a grip man. It matters not. I haven't held my grandaughter in 6 weeks - thats what I miss.
  23. Or more recently Markus buys us, Wembley final and successive promotion seasons? This one. Going to games, expecting to win, and predicting how many Lambert would score that day! I'm old enough to remember all your list, but this period was special.
  24. Crazy idea includes players wearing face masks. Please NO, just NO!!
  25. Heck, I thought Raheem Sterling had succumbed to corona ...
