  1. Sadly yes, this will rumble on. PEH wants to join THFC, KWP wants to join SFC. Should be easy to grant those two wishes … yet it will rumble on.
  2. OK, let's extend Reed's contract and buy another DM. Let them play season warm-up games (will there be any this summer with only 2 months break?) and then Ralph can decide his batting order.
  3. Lallana - very unlikely, probably impossible. If somehow Bmth stay up, he will likely go there. If not, then probably someone like West Ham.
  4. Can you receive PM's? Apparently you can't?
  5. From who, LeG, from who? Celtic can't pay? Leeds won't pay?
  6. I'm all for a bargain, but I think £10M is on the low side for KWP now. Admittedly, when he came I thought £5M was about right, but seeing him improve under Ralph and thinking of where he could be in a couple of years, I would pay the £10M now, improve him further and brace ourselves for £30M offers in 2022!
  7. Yeah, good player, but 2 London clubs looking at a player in London. His Oyster card wouldn't take him as far south as Southampton, so he'll pick from them.
  8. KWP - haven't Spurs said they would accept £10M? Or is it £10M to everyone but Saints? PEH - radio news lunchtime said Everton had a bid of £20M (rising to £25M) declined. OK, agree the add-on clauses are irrelevant with Everton, as they won't win anything. Saints still asking for £35M.
  9. I think he has already improved massively since coming here, so Ralph's coaching of him is helping. Hungry and capacity to improve, check. And Spurs have named the price at £10M, which is modest, so I would go for it.
  10. Yeah, I was one asking for Ings to take penalties. It's not for him. Poor technique - wait to see where the keeper dives and then pass it to him. We need to sort out penalties for next season. Get any of Lambert, Le Tiss and Beatts coaching the side over the summer.
  11. Meanwhile …. back on Walker-Peters,has he signed yet? (This is going to be Skacel all over again.)
  12. Would be great for my fantasy team, where I'm 6th in my league!
  13. If you watch the video that MLG posted, it takes you to Twitter. After the video, below it is a post from FFC.
  14. I believe our standard conclusion on these is "when I see him pictured on the OS wearing a Saints shirt and holding a Saints scarf aloft, then I'll believe it. Until then, just speculation."
  15. We're getting a BT pass, as well as 2 x SS day passes?
  16. FFC : "The club can confirm that Harrison Reed HAS returned to Southampton" He's not seeing out the season with them? Hopefully, returned to Southampton to negotiate a contract extension.
  17. It's time we stopped sending him out to foster parents and took him in as one of our own. Those Instagram comments from Fulham fans are convincing. Wrap our arms around him, give him a new contract and give him game time. He has clearly developed into the sort of player we wanted and now need.
  18. How about Stephens at RB and Vester at CB? Or I guess he could just bring in Danso at RB? We may want to give Romeu a night off, and play Hoejberg? Up to Ralph, obviously.
  19. I'd agree that it should be a practice that (co)commentators shouldn't have played for either side, ideally. Especially if they are one-club men, then their perspective just isn't in perspective, it's biased. But maybe it's just the individual characteristics of Neville and Carragher that are SO excruciating.
  20. Thank you for that comment, now I know I'm not the only one. I had that feeling through the game and it was the comments of MLT after that crystallised it into words for me. After their 2 goal blitz, I had expected them to tear us apart. Yet, it didn't happen; they took their foot off the gas, and seemed content to be in a winning position. Even the commentator acknowledged we were 'right back in this game', yet we seemed content to retain possession and ensure Utd didn't get more goals. Imagine if we had pushed and got that second goal during our second half domination, and then Obafemi's goal had been a winner! That stat Sky put up about Utd winning every game they had been in front at HT going back to 1851 would have been redundant. So, I have to say I didn't think we would get anything from that game, and yet I think we could got all 3 points if we had really gone for it. We'll never know. On balance, of course, a point away at OT is a big deal.
  21. Yeah, I thought that. Saints x 2 = (United + Ref + Gary Neville) x 2
  22. They should listen to their manager. First, there is NO "allocated injury time"; it's just a "minimum of x minutes". Then the clash of heads was in the injury time and the commentator said another 4 minutes would be added, so that made it "a minimum of 8 minutes in total". We weren't physical at all, aside from the Romeu challenge, which was impact. The rest of the time we stood off them.
  23. Er, no. I don't think that at all. Maybe he is more complimentary on the BBC for a British audience. Every time we are being talked about, he is complimentary. He beams with pride when his debut game and hat-trick gets mentioned.
  24. I have to pay tribute to Ole. How refreshing to see and hear him acknowledging that before the game, that we are known to be the fittest team in the Premier League, and that he expected this to be a very hard game, despite the interviewer waxing lyrical about Utd racking up goals recently. After the game too, still no bitterness. Paying tribute to the way we played, didn't stop until it was over, and that we deserved a point for the effort we put in. Just imagine if that had been Jose. Yeah, bitterness and recrimination, mouthing off about excessive injury time. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a breath of fresh air and a credit to his club. I think Utd are back to being title contenders next season, and I hope Ole is there managing them to the title. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to hear Gary Neville's tones for a long time. But Ole, I wish YOU success.
  25. Yeah, I do like him, but we have to think where he would play, whose position he would be taking. He's a forward playing midfielder, so he could play either left or right in the 4-2-2-2. He's not a defensive midfielder, and I can't imagine we want him up with Ings, so he is looking to take the place of Redmond or Armstrong. At the moment, Redders is out of form, but long term I don't think we want to see him displaced.
