Just when we were on a roll to dizzy heights ... Win on Friday night please - #doit4Danny

Mings was born in Bath, Avon to former non-League striker Adie Mings. Mings joined Southampton in 2001 as an eight-year-old, but was released in 2009 when the youth budget was axed. It's 11 years, Tyrone, move on!

Ely is going to divide the fanbase forevermore. Those who see what he's doing and think "hey, come and do that for us" and those that disregard what he does and say he's not suited to the EPL and "it's only park football in Scotland." To those I say he is doing it in the Europa League. Anyway, Ralph isn't going to give him a chance, so we'll watch him from afar.

I think you're right SKD. Offer it as a package rather than as one off games.

I won't be coughing up £14.95 for a single game. That price point is wrong. Ashley calling for £4.95 which may be a bit low, maybe between £5 and £10 is right. Over a tenner, I can wait until MoTD, or just watch the 2 minute highlights online.

Mohammed Salisu - Official: Signs for Monaco
the saint in winchester replied to Dusic's topic in The Saints
Now being reported that he is available for this weekend and will be in the squad. However, until I see his name in the team or bench line up, I still see it as "being reported." -
Well said, 'Cherie'. Some comments above are unnecessary and spiteful. Which is also the way I would describe Pickford's assault. I hope VVD can come back from this within a reasonable timeframe. I'll have drop him from my Fantasy team, sadly.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m
the saint in winchester replied to The Odd Guy's topic in The Saints
Oh no, they are not. Take it offline, hug it out. Keep this thread for info related to ownership. -
Can we get speeds for Long and Walcott as well? And Johnno Quick? Then we'll have a benchmark - as to whether they are Johnno Quick.

Some preferred the unpredictability of someone like Alex Higgins, but I liked to watch Interesting Steve Davis.

is it Toby on a season loan? Or is the clue "covering a few positions" a suggestion it's Akinfenwa?

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche
the saint in winchester replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I liked him. He was a Pelegrino recommended purchase and so never had a career with us when P left. A 5 year contract is not just for Christmas. -
At the risk of going all KK on you - "I'd love it if that happened, just love it." But he has to play! Whose place does hew take? Armstrong's? That's not fair. If he's only going to get the last 5 mins of games, he's not going to want to come down. But YES PLEASE!

Ibrahima Diallo - Official: Signs for Al Duhail
the saint in winchester replied to TWar's topic in The Saints
Sacre Bleu! Stade Brestois and English club Southampton have reached an agreement for the transfer of midfielder Ibrahima Diallo, who will commit to four seasons with Saints. The future of Ibrahima Diallo (21 years) will be well played in the Premier League. For several days, the midfielder of the Stade Brestois has been the priority of Southampton, who have agreed with the club, according to our information. The amount of the transfer would be fifteen million euros with a percentage of the capital gain in favor of the Stade Brestois. As a reminder, Brest must also pay a share of its own capital gain (20%) to AS Monaco, who had sold him the international midfielder Espoirs in 2019. -
Donald Trump Appreciation Thread
the saint in winchester replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Lounge
I believe Biden is simply riding a ticket of "hey, I'm not Trump, I'm the other one" and has promised to do only 4 years at the most. His objective is just to get Trump out. As middle America didn't trust a woman last time, he is stepping forward to build the bridge. -
Riverdance practice going well then?
-
He's on £65k. Yes, agree that paying wages for Hoedt and Cariillo are hamstringing our finances, but only one of the three can make a positive contribution to our game right now. (Since writing my original post, it does seem the club want to pay Carillo off.) IT's a shame Ralph doesn't rate him.
-
Not so. He was thought little of at first, when he was played as an out and out winger, told to get crosses in. When we allowed him to play as a striker/no10 he was transformed and a crowd-pleaser.
-
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. And it seems to align with Ralph's. For better or for worse, we seem to have given Ralph greater and greater control. If he isn't prepared to play Bouf, then it's better for him to go where he will get game time. But I think it's a pity. Bouf is a game changer and we need them. Ralph seems to stubbornly stick to the same group of players, even when we need fresh ideas. Let me know who we can get for €1.5M that is better than Boufal.
-
Dan James anyone? Would probably turn down a loan with us, but would tick our boxes.
-
I'd like to see both Gunn and Fraser get a league game soon. I know Ralph and the coaches see them in training, but a live match would be useful. Any sharpness Fraser accrued is dissipating while sitting on the bench. We've got only 2 games left before transfer window, so let's see what each can offer. Rather than endless McCarthy repeats.
-
Gendouzi?
-
In my widest dreams, I'm hoping it's Antonio Rudiger. Would cover at CB and at RB if KWP out.
-
I've been saying that for past two weeks, but does Ralph read what I say? They need cash, lots of it, so may be an issue to raise it, but as per ebay style, put it a late offer and they may take it.

Forster; Bertrand/Vestergaard/Stephens/KWP; JWP/Romeu; Djenepo/Armstrong; Ings/Adams Subs to be used before 80th minute : Salisu, Sims, Long
