Of course the 'keeper situation is moot if teams keep failing to get a shot on target!
-
Perhaps that's why we haven't entered the market for a keeper. Maybe the management think he'll be good enough as cover next season. I've seen him play a couple of times since we've been back in the Prem and he didn't look confident at all.
-
Gazzaniga would be my number 1 if it were up to me. For the lols. I do think we'd struggle if we lost Forster. Even with Wanyama and Morgan out we still have strength and depth in midfield. We don't have that quality in goal. Cover yes, quality no.

I thought Sinclair was at Hibs? -
His goal against Sunderland was the best for me. Lovely control. He'd be a big asset for us when he comes back, though his future is unclear as to where he'll play next season. Watching that reminds me how good of a combination Lallana, Lambert and Rodriguez were - and I think perhaps we kept the best one. (Even if it were because he was injured.)

Last year I started this thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45072-FA-Cup-or-4th-place#.VLVfuCcgGSM to gauge people's opinions on what they'd rather have, 4th or winning the cup. I had no idea we'd actually be in with a shot of top 4! Have your opinions differed now we have a real shot of a top 4 place? Or does the FA Cup mean more to you?
-
Exactly, we're third place and not going away. Why weaken our own chances by selling our best players to a rival? Had we been sitting in mid-table it might have happened, but not now.

Me too, but the pies found me.

Well that's much better. Fully deserved I say, he had a cracking game yesterday. Oh wait...

Learning Falcao is on £350k a week, however true it is, made me a little bit sick and green with envy.

Saints winning was Karma after Van Gaal hid Tadic's shirt and shin pads.
-
Some juicy fixtures on the last day in the relegation battle. Leicester vs QPR and Aston Villa vs Burnley. Hull, Sunderland and WBA need to make sure they're safe by then too, as they have Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.
-
6th. Van Gaal will eventually find his best XI to keep Utd in the Champions League spots, and Arsenal will do what they do every year and creep in. We will also be pipped to 5th by Spurs, who after winning the League Cup receive a boost of confidence. We could perhaps have finished 4th but our run to the FA Cup final takes it's toll. In 7th is Liverpool, who could have overtaken us on the final day had we not managed a point away to City, and a Crouch hat trick for Stoke. (All from Lovren slips.)

Yes, with the right transfers this month and staying clear of injury. Elia was a good start, cover where we needed it and at the right time. A top striker and centre back cover and we could be there. I still worry whether we can cope losing Forster, that is the injury/suspension that could derail our chances. No disrespect to Kelvin of course, who's done so much for us, but we're now a level or two above him.

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2015/01/11/7874562/-? F&ck off Carragher, you Scouse ****.

Failing in the Champions League would still get you into the Europa anyway so it's an irrelevant question. Additionally there's the money incentive and a better chance of keeping our talent.

Will this be the best transfer window for Saints ever?
SNSUN replied to Mallagroth's topic in The Saints
I was going to start a thread like this but found this one. 9.5/10 for player recruitment last summer. Taider the only let down and it's not like we miss him as Reed has stepped up. 1 or 2 additions this window of the same ilk as the others and we'll be laughing. -
Gone up a bit today, surely! Cracking performance, at Old Trafford, live on Sky shown around the world. £40 million. :-)

We have a real shot at the FA Cup too...

I wish my gluteus maximus was as toned as that...

At the start of the season, if you'd said we'd finish 7th or 8th, I'd have bitten your hand off. Now, with over half the season gone, 7th or 8th would be a huge anticlimax and a disappointment. A lot can happen in just 5 months...

I was under the impression you cannot break a season long loan...? MLG?
