Good point. Time for the Saints Statto to do some research! (Or loan someone from abroad?)
-
I thought it was a second yellow, I wasn't paying attention. :-D What did the commentators call Antonio - I think it was a rough diamond. That's true in my mind. Occassionally he looked out of place, but some of the things he did were outstanding. Best I've seen him play this season, and I'd be saying that even without tha goal.
-
New signing or two needed IMO. Prefferably by Saturday. We can get by, we have James, Wotton, Lallana, Waigo, Antonio, Holmes, Gobern, and Thomson if we recall him. Gillett too if need be, but we'll still be lightweight.

Brilliant. It may have only been a one goal victory, but it's more than I hoped for and we fully deserved it. There were some standout performances for me, and these are all IMO, but it was the players that we sometimes under appreciate that did the best job. Davis: Did everything that was asked of him, made a few good saves. Didn't need to get involved with the fracas just before half time. Was lucky when their shot hit the post. 7 Thomas: I thought he was very solid. Made a good few runs forward and rarely let the side down. 7 Fonte: Very, very good, first time I've seen him, brings a calm to the defence. Should've scored in the first minute, got a head to nearly everything. 8 Perry: Marshalled the offside trap well. 7 Mills: Who says we need a new left back back-up! Thought he was very good, going forwards and at the back. 8 James: Great shot near the end, deserved a goal. Lost his cool at one point, but the key to the win was the midfield shielding the defence. 7 Wotton: As with James, the midfield defended well. Saints didn't let the Dons play, and Wotton was there with the challenges when they were needed. Not brilliant, but in the circumstances did the job. 6 Morgan: The sending off marred an otherwise impressive performance. His passing was good, this was the best I've seen him play, and I'm one of his biggest critics. Still looks like Bambi when he gets close to the box.n Lost a point for rash-headedness. 7 Lallana: Tricks weren't coming off, he should have scored when he scuffed the shot, you can see he is on the same wavelength as Lambert but this wasn't his night. Still think he looks lost out wide. 5 Antonio: MOTM for me. Worked his nut sack off all game, as you could see with the cramp at the end. His passing was excellent, his goal superb. Never stopped running, and was defending as well as he was attacking. A real thorn in MK Dons side. 9 Lambert: Won the headers that he needed to win, hustled the defence. Still wish he'd shoot sometimes instead of laying it off. 7 Subs: Holmes: Didn't really get much of a look in. Booking was silly. 5 Waigo: Brought on too late for an impact, except the clearance with his first touch. Pardew: I quite like the 4-3-3/4-5-2 formation. He'll have a mission with Hammond and Schneiderlin out. Glad he played Antonio in the end, and I bet he is too! 7 REF: Enjoyed waving the cards around, was playing things by the book. We should've had a penalty though for blatent handball. 6 We should have scored more, but for poor finishing from Lallana and Morgan, and we should have had a penalty, but I think every Saints fan would've been happy with that scoreline before the game. Now we have three weeks to get the FA to change the rules to allow away goals!

Twas a game no Saints fan will ever forget. No matter how hard they try!
-
He wasn't poor, he was solid to begin with when playing with Jaidi, but lost his way towards the end. He was only cover and the players Pardew wanted permanently were available, so we went for them instead.
-
Sit next to the victim and crap in his hot dog! I hope to be there, although it's touch and go with work.
-
The further back on the pitch we play him, the less likely he is to be flagged offside! I would be happy if we brought in Barnard as a back up to Lambert, but I'm fully in the camp that would like to see a pacy striker here to compliment Lambert. That's not to say we can't have both, £200k for Barnard is Mifsud who I'm assuming is still training with us?
-
Having achieved a compliment, I refuse to read the rest of the post! :-D

According to Wikipedia, SNSUN is a sex machine and Matt Le Tissier once scored a goal with his erect penis. Don't believe a word you read, unless you know otherwise.
-
Exactly. Aside from a potential play-off final, we and the players alike will probably never have a better chance to get there. And yes, it may only be the JPT, but it's still a piece of silverware. It'll keep the FA Cup company. :-D Might as well make the most of this league while we're down here...
-
Teamwise, for me it has to be: Davis Thomas Fonte Perry Harding ----------James---------- ----Morgan Lallana------- Antonio-----------Waigo --------Lambert-------- Nice and pacy. We are looking a bit thin though.
-
I'd just like a day at Wembley. I don't give a toss who we play!
-
Waigo seems to be preferred in the JPT games, so I'm expecting him to start. I wouldn't be suprised to see Holmes keep his place either, so that's the wings sorted. James, Morgan and Adam in midfield if Connolly isn't fit, Perry in for Seaborne, Thomas in for Semi.

I reckon the evil little pixies broke into your house and took it. They believe that it is the centre of their world, and as such are going to worship the wallet and everything in it. They also like milk. Are you missing any milk Bridgey? Because that'd point the finger at the pixies. If you're ok for milk, there's a chance it wasn't them. FWIW I think you made up the wallet. It never existed. You carry stuff loose in your pocket and the wallet is a metaphor for life. Or perhaps it was eaten by the rabid monkey that broke out of Chessington World of Adventures t'other day... Apparently he has a penchant for leather - he broke in to a branch of Land of Leather and caused £483k of damage.
-
I can only empathise. I've never lost my wallet. I'm a tightarse you see, and no other bugger is going near it, so I keep it close at all times. You'll find it inside a shoe. Hope this helps.

Rumour threads are what makes SaintsWeb SaintsWeb. IMO

J.M.Barrie created the name "Wendy" from a rhyming game, "Fwendy Wendy". I am using this rule to call my first born "Pomzey", from my rhyming game "Romsey Pomzey".

Love of football? If he truly wanted to play, he'd take a pay cut. As to whether that cut would be enough for a club like Donny, is another matter! Sadly footballers are paid so much these days, we're setting him up for retirement, rather than encouraging him to play elsewhere on less.
-
I'd be happy with that, although I do hope we can still bring in a pacy striker to truly compliment Lambert. I get the feeling Connolly will miss more games than he plays this season, though I hope I'm wrong.
-
You absolutely cannot underestimate MK Dons, who are a very good team, and we're not playing well either. However over two legs, I think we can do them. The players know that this will probably be the best chance in their careers to play at Wembley and they won't want to lose that feeling. Tomorrows game will be tough though. I'm hoping for a draw and a win in the home leg. 1-1
-
I love the BBC and their "ideas"! Of course.
-
Saga would be a quality striker for them! It's all about trying to convince them that Pulis is too...
-
Stupid BBC London. Stupid living in Surrey. Stupid Stupid Stupid.

I reckon we'll make a late surge towards the play-offs, peter out at the end, and finish 8-10th. We'll go out to Ipswich on Saturday in the FAC, despite me being there and hoping for a win, but we will make it to Wembley in the JPT. (Whether we beat Leeds or not, who I expect to be there, is another matter.) A good result this season IMO. Bring on next season, with a full squad of quality players.
