http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g186338-d188029-r13780707-Radisson_Edwardian_Marlborough-London_England.html My review of Clive. I think Clive is a good name for a mouse. If it's alive. Alive Clive, Dead Fred.

The 'when do you break up for Christmas' thread
SNSUN replied to thesaint sfc's topic in The Muppet Show
I wouldn't be suprised in this multi-national company! My mate (a colleague here) is most unfortunate this year. His day off for the Christmas week actually falls on Christmas day, which we get off anyway, so he has this Sunday off, and is then working all the way through until January 1st. What's worse for him, is that he's working an early on Boxing Day, so can't even drink on Christmas day. What does he get? A day off in lieu. To be taken sometime in March. I try not to gloat... -
Not all of them. Though commuters are generally the worst, sorry Hatch! Sometimes I'd just like to say "If you don't like it, don't use it"! See if they can find another way to get to Co ckfosters for £4 in 90 minutes. Still, my wages get paid, so I bite my tongue and try to be the best darn Customer Services Slave I can be.

LUL rules are = You can self certificate sick leave for up to seven days, but only once in six months. After that (even if you break a leg or whatever) you can be disciplined. So, if you go sick for one day, you might as well take the week off to make it worth your while. Now this does mean that we try not to take the urine with reguards to being "fake" sick, in that if we do go off sick, we can't do it again for six months. However this does lead to sick people coming into work, because they don't want to use their quota of sick leave up. I am from the latter group. If I'm sick, and able to get out of bed and do my job, I'll come into work. Who knows what lies around the corner. I'm sure LUL would use their common sense in certain ways with reguards being sick twice in 6 months, but I value my job and choose not to push it. Unselfish? Perhaps, but until they change their policy I'll keep doing it. Yes, my colleagues and the customers may catch it, but there's so many germs flying around at Heathrow I doubt it'll make much difference.

The 'when do you break up for Christmas' thread

I thought someone might get in before I changed it! Talk about Scrooge if I only got 14 hours off for Christmas! I'm happy with 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 31st and 1st off. -
CUSTOMERS. ...there's only so much fake smiling and lip biting I can do.

Working shiftwork, we don't get a set period off work except for Christmas day. However due to some splendid holiday-swapping on my part, and some sheer luck, I finish work at half ten this Saturday evening and am not back in until midday Sunday (the one after Christmas). :-) In addition I have rest days on New Years eve and News Day, so all in all it's going to be a good festive period. -
118118 are running the same service now, but AQA have been around for years. They're very helpful too, I once found out something using their service that I hadn't had the first clue aboutwhere to look for the answer. I want to be a researcher.

We moan about a lack of experience, then query Euell.

me and the missus once had a mouse in our hotel room. We called him Clive. He tried to eat my Subway which was a step too far. Good job he was quick.

i resign from listening to this one. If i wanted self-torture i'd marry my girlfriend.

-
if we win today i will **** dot cotton.

merry ****ing christmas saints. You really know how to give us a good one. I wouldn't mind relegation to league one if we were actually fighting to stay up!

2 flaming nil. I might as well add this early- 3-0 4-0 and 5-0.

You don't have to ask my permission. Just wipe it up afterwards.

Not always. In the summer it can burn and then it is brown.

Looks like a bombsite IMO. I even saw people eating the pick and mix without paying for it. Pikeys. Also, I saw what suspiciously looked like a pube on the floor. RIP.

While I could stay in the quiet comfort of my own home with a Roast Turley ready meal and a can of pop, I am instead going to my parents' house to relieve them of their hard earned food and drink. My missus is off back to her mothers for Christmas so I'm looking forward to peace and quiet apart.

w00T for teh weekend fred. And NO WORK this weekend. Well smack my gran and call her Cliff. Friday - Humungous lie in followed by Christmas shopping. (Which I've just got back from and only bought Pick and Mix from Woolies.) Going to see my sister in Pantomime tonight, with a few beverages. Saturday - Humungous lie in once again, followed by relaxing and maxing and shooting some B-ball outside of the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good, starting making trouble in my neighbourhood. I got in one little fight and my mum got scared. In t'evening am going to a friend's birthday drink up to get reet proper hammered. Sunday - Recovery then rubbing my Christmas decorations, including some impressive baubles, in my sister's face. I rate it 7/10. -
I hope he's better than Bristol City's Mommainais Bokoto from Championship Manager 96. He had roaming stats at the start of every game and was sometimes superb. That's it lads, get yer old cd-roms out.

I watched the game from the Palace stand as a Palace supporting mate had bought me tickets, and I was gutted. Palace won 3-0 with apparant ease, and our defending was terrible. Highlights of the match for Saints were the fans - they never gave up singing and I was proud to watch them. A couple made noise during the minutes silence but I was informed they were in the tunnel below and were unaware of what was going on. Cork is a good little player. Clearly a class above his current level. Surman had a good game too, sadly they were two of the eleven. My Palace mate said James ("Your schoolboy right back") was having a good game. He did play well at times, but is too inconsistant. I can't get my head around us playing two midfielders in defence, and two defenders in midfield. (When Jo Mills came on...) Davis kept the score down in the second half but had a poor first half, and Pearce was terrible. There's clearly not enough height or experience in the team. Overall I had a good day out, and will be looking to go to a few more games soon. Cork MOTM IMO.

Friday - Had a mate round and watched some TV. Saturday - Work followed by some drinks, successfully dodging my sister's AmDram pantomime (for a week at least), then some TV. Sunday - Working again, then put the Christmas decorations up. I feel Christmassy, but will feel more so on Thursday at 16:15hrs. :-) The decorations pushed the rating up. 4/10. I, like Shane, cannot WAIT until next weekend. ;-) -
quiet house party i'm throwing for some friends. Without informing the missus i'll be sending out invites to the local all girl sixth form college.
-
i'll be ditching my plastic status for once and will be going to the palace game. Standing in the home end so hope to wind a few people up.
