National 5 a side champions? WTF....
-
Looks like they have been taking defending lessons from the 1st team : /
-
After an abysmal 1st half still in shock we managed a win. Amazing result and excellent 2nd half. Sims motm for me, what an odd season he has had.
-
Diving is a cancer of the game. Hojbjerg is a disgrace. Undoes most of the good work he does with his appalling cheating. Cost us the game a few months back earning a second yellow, another mindless booking yesterday after jwp goal which was around the danger area. He wouldn’t be my captain till he can cut this **** out of his game. Inexcusable

Why don't Saints attack the Northam in the second half ?

Worked today! -
Embarrassing how out of touch he is with your average football fan. Spoken nothing more than soulless corporate codswallop since he arrived. He is the Fabrice Fernandes of conversations. Cringeworthy from the very beginning but you could put up with it as decisions on and off the pitch were sound. Now he has overseen so many horrendous decisions his time is up IMO. Seems like he was influential is RH coming in though so will that save his bacon? No trust in RK or RW to oversee the drastic overhaul we need irrespective of what division we are in. I hope he leaves at the end of the season.

Would add that I would not be that bothered if any of our current players left for various reasons. Our squad is poor and even most of the better players are mediocre. I would suggest Ryan Bertrand is probably our best player.

His record is pathetic. With major surgery to the squad required for either an improved premier league season, or a championship rebuild, I have very little faith in Wilson to do a good job. Wilson out either way and Kruger must walk if we go down.

Fan placement and which end we kick towards can have an impact on results I believe. Archers was a similar situation. -

I have wondered this myself over the last 2 and a half seasons that we have been UTTER ****E at home. Why the morons have not given this a go, god only knows. It could make a difference and likely make it tougher for the away side in the crucial 2nd half. You would think someone would have the brains to assess every minute detail to improve our wretched home form. -
Missed the game as at work and didn't need the distraction. Will watch later, sounds like Fulham were terrible and we improved which suits me. Delighted with the result, thought it would be another draw or narrow defeat. Massive win and at last showing a bit of fight again which has clearly been missing in recent weeks.

1-1 would be my guess which would likely sink us.
-
2-1 Arsenal. A plucky display but ultimately we are not very good so will likely lose. Cardiff game knocked the stuffing out of me and I now think we will take the last relegation place. Ralph has not been perfect but I like the cut of his jib, I would welcome him being given a season in the Championship with the youth + a few of his picks once we have cleared out as many of these **** senior pro's as we can. Far from over yet, but this is the vibe I'm getting as we are just horrific at home which I expect to continue.
-
Started well at least! Our CB's have done really well, as has Romeu. Redmond OK. Other than that, pretty poor. Ings made of glass. Don't like JWP at RB, rather Valery and move Prowsey forwards. Slattery not ready. Burnley, **** poor but would take a draw.
-
Pathetic window, weakening the squad and not strengthening the 1st 11 whilst in a relegation battle. How Ross Wilson is still in a job, I have no idea. Ralph has a very tough job on his hands and I can only hope he feels supported by the board.
-
I'm readying the incontinence pads as we speak as it has been a really poor window so far. What gives me some hope is that Adam's Blackmore and Leitch have not yet tweeted we are done (yet). Even when Leitch tweeted in the summer we were done we signed Ings, who he had previously said we were not interested in. Alex Crook has also said we are unlikely to do anything which gives me more hope than anything.

Totally agree with this post. Both the Palace & West Ham games have really emphasised the extreme lack of pace and strength in our team. I think Ralph is well aware of this and although he could/should have started with 3421 in my book, not much he can do about physical attributes with the players at his disposal. I like a manager that expresses his opinion, but I personally disagree with Ralph suggesting the crowd should have had more patience in the 2nd half. We were crap tonight hard to pick out anyone who played well. If Ralph had to put up with what the St. Mary's crowd have watched from this team over the last 2.5 seasons, then surely he would know how lucky they are that anyone even bothers to even turn up. Let's not forget still only 2 home wins this season. Credit to the team to keep going and earn a respectible point against a well drilled Palace side, but I expected a better performance. With bit more focus, quality and directness tonight they would have earned themselves more patience.

Agree with Pilch, in January it's put up or shut up if players are available who you really want. Never going to get a bargain in January and it's a sellers market for decent players. I like the look of the lad from Genk, looks a bit "Balesque" to me. Elabdellaoui has a poor record when he came over with Hull and screams cheap panic buy to me. If the club think Che Adams is who they want they need to lay down some hard cash, at least market rate which is 15 million+ in my eyes. We are far from safe and could really do with at least a couple of exciting young players who are doing the business now & raring to go. We come off looking really cheap right now.

chomp, chomp

Excellent news, nailed on then.
-
Irrespective of whether Arnautovic stays or goes, I think you nailed it. Every now and then we need to replace an "A" player with an "A" player. For too long we have diluted the quality nearly costing us our PL place. I think Adam Leitch suggested this was something the club were looking at in the summer, to have less parity on wages and get a few stars who are outright better players on bigger money. Let's hope so.
-
Decent finisher and been a good signing at 4mil. However now virtually immobile and certainly not suited to 90 minutes of a Hasenhuttl team. Needs to go now or stay for late cameo's and leave in the summer. If we can get any cash and free up a big salary then sell now IF we can bring in someone better.
-
If Adam L. is right and we don't bring in a rightback then I'm afraid that is a load of ******** from the club with us still in a relegation fight. Mental, I hope he is wrong & they have fed him a line. Cedric should stay & be back up for Valery if he is right. Not really seen much in of Ramsey so far TBH, even though very early days. I don't buy the reduce squad numbers game anymore. In December yes, but that will be the 4th senior pro out the door & significant savings on wages + a half decent fee for Gabbi. I agree with all the moves, but come on, we need a couple of decent players in & then wholesale changes in the summer. Makes our financial situation look very worrying. I hope Guan knows something we don't and it looks better once the window is closed.

A loan would not be the best move in the world. Another loan would show how desperate we are to get rid of him, if he were to return in the summer value would be even lower. All these loans (Davis aside), just show what rotten recruitment we have had over the last few years. Fingers crossed for perm. and we can get a few quid in.
