(If we go down) what will you miss about the Premierleague?
bangkoksaint replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
I want to feel good on a Saturday after Saints have played. The last two seasons meant I haven’t. If that’s the future then no I’ll miss nothing about the Prem. I don’t care what League we’re in I want to be entertained. -
I saw the Saints team coach today around 1:30pm at J19 northbound of the M6. Can’t think why it was heading north. Anyone any ideas? Does it get used by anyone else apart from Saints?

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
bangkoksaint replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
I wonder how many people at the club will lose their jobs as well. People who don’t earn a great deal but will have their families futures potentially affected by the half wit players who over the course of a season couldn’t be arsed to put a shift in. -
Absolutely. People who think we are staying up are completely radio. We cannot, do not and will not win again this season. We’re shot to pieces
-
They have More intensity than us. Matter of how many and when

I really dislike this ‘I’m a better supporter than you because I’m going to the semi attitude ‘ FWIW I’m not going and as an intelligent, educated person I’ve made a rational decision based on a number of factors including cost, likelihood of winning, the fact it’s on TV and not least I’ve taken in to account the dross we’ve been served up and the money I’ve thrown at the club in the last couple of years to be and 2003. I attended all of those but the Premier League has changed so much since then and it’s now just business. Personally I don’t give a rats if we go down. It’s the club I support and I’ll be going again next season when a new era starts. In the meantime I hope you all have a great day, that we win and all the deserving cases get Final tickets.
-
I’m just hoping we can hit the ground running in the Championship. That’s when our next win will come.

Which away games are you looking forward to in the Championship?

Pompey -
Looking forward to the Pompey derby next season

If I owned the club I’d sack him at half time
-
Yes, if a light bulb goes at home then it's the player liaison officers they can call to sort it out. Rather pathetic isn't it? And they wonder why football has a disconnect from the common man.
-
Why do you think he has not been sacked yet?
bangkoksaint replied to Pilchards's topic in The Saints
Should we go down I believe we'll enter a very difficult period for the club. I recently heard Simon Jordan say how important it is for clubs to remain at the 'top table '. It might be for the clubs but as far as I'm concerned I just want to enjoy watching Saints and get that feel good factor back. If that means challenging towards the top of lower leagues so be it because come 5pm I'll feel better than I have done most of the season. The galling thing is that all of this was so avoidable. -
Club Statement: Season ticket holders unable to make it today

Trying to incentivise people for the Championship next season. Clever marketing -
Game over then after five minute. Pathetic
-
I'm up st 5am and I expect him to be gone by then. I'm sick to death of being treated like a mug and paying good money to watch this tripe. Goodnight.
-
No issue with me. The feel good factor is there whatever the league and I'm falling out of love with the hype of the Prem. A mate follows Aldershot home and away most games and doesn't yearn for Premier League football. The players don't care about the club, the owner doesn't either so it's just us fans that really care. More games, less messing around re KO's and cheaper tickets is fine by me if it means I go to a game thinking we may get a result or at least be competitive.
-
We have had a mare all season. It started with appointing MP, it continued with our style of play, that progressed to our results, the issue of VVD and then this window. It'll culminate in our relegation and what annoys me more than anything is that every bit of it was avoidable.

Our free kick and we go backwards..........

For me we're a bit like political party. To begin with if you spout enough propaganda people will believe it and with a bit of success you all ride along on the crest of a wave. However if your model isn't sound, you take things for granted eventually things will start to unravel, people will see through things and gradually lose interest and drift away. Although unlike politics we won't go and suddenly start watching other teams we will see the apathy that is creeping in and if we go down the repercussions that will bring.

I think people are falling out of love with the game at this level in general. Its all about money, players don't really care and owners are out for a profit. It's taking me a while but I'm seeing the light. I'm an intelligent man who is basically fed up with blindly throwing money at a product where nothing is reciprocated. 43 years I've been loyal to this club and I find it very sad.

He's desperate to win this given that side and Fulhams

Boycott the next game

I'm a northern Saint now and not far from Liverpool. The city centre beats Southampton hands down.

Graham Baker and Mike Channon

Wish players and coaches would say what they really want to say
bangkoksaint replied to Pilchards's topic in The Saints
Long : I'm not the most talented player and I haven't scored for a while. However I will run all day for the side, never complain and give a 100% all of the time. It would be nice if sometimes the supporters appreciated that because I work with some players with massive egos who don't come close to my professionalism.
