  2. Strictly speaking, they did win.
  3. I'm sure it could be for a one off event. They all said rugby would never be played at Croke Park in Ireland either...

BREAKING NEWS: He's staying where he is. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_city/7838966.stm
  5. Te stadiums could be: Wembely Emirates Twikkers Villa Park St James Park Stadium of Light The new Anfield Old Trafford Elland Road City of Manchester Build a stadium in Bristol or Plymouth (Bristol City or Plymouth would probably have been in the Premiership by then, so could use it) Either expand St. Mary's or the new Pompey Stadium (bear in mind this is a dream world in which England ost the World Cup!)
  6. Blimey, I somehow managed to complete miss all of that! Hopefully, we can have that sort of reaction (and bigger) after every game win, lose or draw until he goes.
  7. Yep, for the first time I'm finally willing to admit that without some major changes at all levels at the club we're doomed, and even with major changes there's still no guarentee that we won't be doomed.
  8. What a difference it is from the first match after we got rid of Lowe last time. This video might jog your memories. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Norgab7bFfs

I for one wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I'm being paid that much money for something that in the big scheme of things is totally irrelevent to the world. I'm not saying I wouldn't love to be paid that much (of course I would!),but if I was I'd like to think I was at least contributing something valuable to the world. Professional football on the whole has grown to be completely ridiculous. It should never have got to the stage where some people actully think these sort of wages are acceptable.
  10. He said "Send him back to Cardiff for the rest of the season and take it from there" Was that better? P.s. Bale is from Cardiff

Exactly, it simply ridiculous. I've heard reports that it could be as high as £110m with over £500,000 a week in wages? Why?....to kick a little ball around a field about once a week. With everything going on in the world at the moment with economic hardship, starving children in Africa, men working in sweatshops 12 hours a day for Primark etc. it makes you wonder how these big names in football (the players, managers, owners etc.) manage to sleep at night. I would absolutely love to see Saints get taken over to ensure our long term survival but I'd hate it to be on the scale on a Man City or Chelsea takeover. I would absolutely love to see them go bust in about 5 years time.
  12. Apparently Wigan are selling Henri Camara to Stoke for £1m. Surely we could afford this.....maybe a part exchange for McG :yawinkle:
  13. To be fair it's easy to be loud when you're supporting officially the best team in the world and playing against a team you're almost certain to beat. Despite me hating plastic United fans, it's impossible to deny that they've always had the loudest away supporters.....although I was a bit disappointed that Saints fans weren't a little bit louder. I think I only heard OWTS once during the whole match.
  14. I agree it was probably just offside, although from where I was (block 5), I had no idea, and even fron tv replays later that evening didn't really notice it til it was mentioned. I agree it wasn't a handball, but McG was stupid for having his hand up. But to say it wasn't a red card is laughable. I was actually cringing when watching JP's comments on ITV last night when he said it was a good tackle which got a foot on the ball. If United player made the same tackle as Paterson I think it's safe to assume we'd all be up in arms about it had it not been a straight red...
  15. I'm likely to be going to a fair few Swans matches before the end of the season. I'll let you all know how he gets on.
  16. I (think) I was in your bar last night. (If I remember rightly where you said you worked!)
  17. I've been very busy today, but managed to catch about 30 seconds of the BBC Score programme when they just so happened to be talking about saints. They said we had set up looking like a team playing away from home. Somehow, that didn't surprise me.
  18. As a Christian myself, I find the whole idea of this thread completely insulting, and don't even know where to begin with it. Fair enough, have your own opinions, but to start calling the man millions and millions of people around the world live and risk their life by a terrorist is nothing short insulting, racist and quite frankly a pathetic way of getting a few posters (probably like me) to bite. I imagine if there was a thread debating whether or not Muhammed or Buddha was a terrorist would have b een locked within seconds.
  19. I've seen the new year through in New York, London and Bristol in my time, but the last 2 years I've been going to Weymouth and I honestly think it's the best of the lot. I'll be going there again.
  20. I wish we had had a few more!
  21. It's not that unusual. A couple of weeks ago Swansea played Watford twice in 2 days. If anything considering what a young squad we've got,it should be an advantage to us....theoretically we should be healthier and in better shape. (Palace are having to do the same remember) Think how much footballers train. I'm sure they can manage 90 minutes of exercise twice over the space of 55 hours or so. If athlets from other sports can do it (i.e its not unusal for tennis players to play two, 3 hour long matchs in the space of 24 hours), then I'm sure footballers can struggle on with it without kicking up a fuss.....
  22. ****s! (The clampers I mean....not the mods )
  23. just seen it. Even Kelvin would laugh at that!
  24. Lets hope they booked their return flights with the same airline, and never come back.

    Oh Dear

I thought this thread was going to relate to this: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/3947178.Pompey_players_stranded_at_Southampton_Airport/
