Tend to agree with this - we seem to forget that this cup competition is comensurate with our current league standing, we did well in the FA cup to be fair, but this one, we won, and won well. For me the team should be congratulated and the achiement should be recognised for where we currently are, not where we would like, or think we should be in the league(s).

Exactly - I was in 546 up in the gods, when ML was shown on the big screen the guy in front of me stood up and started singing his name. As soon as the picture changed to NC he not only started booing but giving him the 'v's as well. I could plainly hear other people booing as well, although it was not the 'overwhelming' sound and it did cease pretty quickly. This booing and that associated to the wave were not interlinked and happened some time apart. Like TDD, I couldn't work out why and found it slightly embarrasing.

We probably could have done something along the lines of 'F u ck off home' to the blue few when they were up for the cup game... Perhaps one of our resident lyricists could come up with something along those lines...!

He's a larf inee...!!! You really could follow most of his commentary statements with the fabled lines 'No shi t Sherlock', and it wouldn't be out of place.

Strangley, it just made me laugh, and I actually felt sorry for them. The bit at the end was classic - 'this isn't just about the cup - we can stay up now...!' Not only does he dress and act like a clown - he thinks like one too, deluded fool. I also wonder whether fans of any other team would want such a character as thier 'self professed leader' - he's kind of a dirty, filthy, gungy and grimey looking character - hope he's not representative of the rest. Here we are, two leagues belowe them - and I wouldn't swap fortunes for the world, strange.
