  1. Forever a bluebird, eh.
  2. I guarantee they will give it the big un as it beat our JPT final. Against Carlisle. Sky will still go big on them being a ‘sleeping giant’ as well.
  3. Yeah, you said it about the one-on-ones; that's what I was trying to get at, but my head wasn't working right!
  4. I think people get confused with what constitutes a better RB. Defensively, I think Trippier is better, though Walker is quicker and because of his pace, it allows him to get back into defensive positions quicker/recover. On the flipside, offensively Trippier is far better in terms of his final ball. It's all very well having someone who is rapid up the flanks but if the delivery isn't any good then it's not much use. I think Walker was utilised brilliantly at the WC - not a natural CB but provided excellent recovery cover for Stones/Maguire whilst also allowing us to 'double up' down the wings when we needed to. Oh - and the fact Rose and Young went to the WC was criminal.
  5. Good in a good team, ****e in a ****e team.
  6. They played Trippier because he’s a good right-back - the set pieces are a bonus. Might not have have a good year but he’s a class RB. Though Wan Bissaka can count himself really unlucky... haven’t only 7 players been able to get past him this season?
  7. Those attendances ....
  8. LOL, Grealish scores. Deserved.
  9. Ugh.... Has anyone ever had anything good to say about Birmingham fans?
  10. Disgusting club. Horrible.
  11. Immensely talented but full of his own self importance, which translates on the field. Would be bittersweet if he left... losing a talented player, but it’ll likely be one that’ll never go full pelt for us.
  12. Van dijk hardly came out of nowhere - he was highly regarded for years. I’ve said it before and I’ll say if again - I could give Ralph a far better list of players both ability wise and budget wise than 20 weirdos sat on Apple Macs watching the trajectory of players runs and how many times they fart during a game. There’s hundreds of players out there who could improve the squad, probably thousands, and we don’t have to spend upwards of 10m for them. Yet we persist with loading up the latest version of FM on a small database and filtering the value 20m and lower and randomly pick from there.
  13. Wrong side of player when marking, giving away free kicks, misplacing passes... usual stuff. Hasn’t conceded yet though.
  14. Playing hilariously cr4p as always.
  15. Two goals Gunn should have done better with
  16. We have a genuinely good manager.. will those pr1cks back him?
  17. And there it is. Cheers ref.
  18. one way or another, this will ref will cost us.

  21. They couldn't give two sh1ts. Odious turds. F()kk off to them all.
  22. All I can say is... ... from getting it so wrong last week he got this selection so right. The defensive five, or three, were superb. Valery is growing in stature and is looking almost replicating Bertrand's industriousness down his side. The three centre halves were superb; and Bertrand's dynamism and workrate on the left was superb. You would be concerned if we were to lose Redmond, who is such a creative spark though. That said, our new aggressive approach from Hojberg and JWP, who are no longer just shuttlers, is a telling transformation of what they used to be. As a supporting cast to a lone striker in a seemingly defensively set up team, seeing them excel in advanced positions is evident then they have so much more to their game than we've previously seen. Additionally, they both are now switching play quickly and accurately - there does seem to be a confidence in their own abilities and trust in their judgements which we'd seldom seen previously. And Bednarek... jesus, he just gets in the way of everything. And to think we spent 16m on Hoedt and left him out for 18 months... They looked ********ed and dripping in sweat at the end of the game, that's the minimum we want to see. Well done Saints. PS: someone beat me to the post match thread... so if mine could be shunted or closed... ta!
