Ludwig!!!! They HAVE NOT TURNED ON HIM! I was trying to explain that they (THE DISABLED ATHLETES ORGANISATION) have great regard for him as their PRESIDENT. In many parts of the world the disabled olympics are bigger than the paralympics and many of the greatest sportsmen and women in history are involved in support of it. Look it up. You seem to have turned my comment on its head. Please look again! I was saying that they (The people of the disabled olympians organisation, not paralympians,) have great respect for him for his work for them.

Great to here him talk about experiences I remember well but from his perspective rather than a supporters. ( Is it too much to ask this Christmas that Nicola Cortese finally shows him the respect that he so richly deserves, and the respect that the football world shows him not to mention the disabled Olympic participants and organisers)

Most of the people on here seem to be anti Southampton and anti Gazzaniga in particular!

I played my last ever competitive game there for a team called 'Riverside' formerly Uni Marine. My last act was to pick the ball out of the net in an horrendous rain storm! Game abandoned.

Those of you criticizing Gazaniga do not know what you are on about. He had no chance with either goal and did everything else competently enough. I hope Boruc can make Wednesday but if not I would have Gazza ahead of Davies every time. I would also bring back RL and re introduce Gaston - we are lacking creativity in the final third

Golac, Killer, Wright, Dennis, Williams, Ball, Armstrong, Moran, Keegan, Channon, MLT.(Sub!!!) Too many? Well they would all get in as far as I am concerned. Not to mention Shilts, Nieme, Shearer, Wallace, Bale, Walcot etc.

Great that this tribute went so well. However, it is a disgrace that there was no official contribution from the Club. For all he has achieved, and it is immense, it is time for Cortese to recognise that SFC has a history, and at times a great one at that. Why can't he acknowledge that a lot of us are still there, not just for the excellent team and set up they we now have, but also because of memories of the past, particularly the Lawrie Mc and MLT periods.

Boruc is our best keeper in a long time. Has agility, handling and bravery. What more do you want!!?? Poster should be banned.

I think it is Sid. I knew him long after this when he had become a car salesman in Wimbledon. I had no idea of his background for ages until someone told me. I gave him my next Saints programme and he was well pleased .

Born and raised in Reading. Lived there for 24 years. Then moved to Didcot. Lived there for 9 years. Then on to Eastleigh, 1977. Lived there 3 years but became a Saint and have been ever since. Moved to Woking Surrey and lived there 32 years. Moved to Brixham Devon 1 year ago. Son , now 40, Saints fan since he was eight. Lives down the road at Paignton. I disagree with all the adverse comments on here. Talk Sport has lost a lot of good presenters (Mike Dickin, Jon Gaunt, James Whale, Alan Collins) but Alan Brazil is still excellent and H & J are very good. As for Goldstein now he really is Bxxxxxxs!. Get him off !

There is only one 'anti' agenda in this - yours regarding MLT. I would suggest you wrap up and stop trying to stir up trouble !

World Cups have always been enriched by players from all over the world of senior age. If you are good enough you are old enough or young enough. If RL got in the squad now there is no reason why he should not last until at least after next years World Cup.

It would be great to go back to the days of proper bands eg military style, marching jazz bands American style and of course the wonderful Romsey Old Cadets. As for goal music or incessant drums - please no! Also I wish they would get rid of all the shouting crap before games.

I can not believe some of the negative rubbish on here. Every other Club show respect to their past heroes. Not Saints! Allsorts of crap is constantly coming out from all directions. It's good that MLT and NC are going to talk. Why doesn't Cortese just say OK:A) The Ex Saints Association can have a box at reasonable cost.B) LMc can have a seat in the Directors Box. C) All 'icons' like MC, MLT, JS, FB etc, etc to be welcomed to the Club every time they visit and introduced on the pitch. Terry Paine ought to have an influence on this in his new exalted position. These are things that make a Club - not just a money driven race to massage personal egos! Whatever we acheive in the future there should be these important links to the past.

But is he really fit? I saw somewhere on here yesterday that he had a 'dead leg' again. Has he recovered from the original injury that put him in hospital? There must be some reason that he is under performing because he obviously has tremendous ability.
