  1. I don’t disagree but for somebody to say he’s shown nothing to suggest he can be a PL player is nonsense, that’s what I was replying to.
  2. He just completely panicked
  3. More players should follow the example of Kyle Walker, putting money back into the community and supporting the self-employed.
  4. Just seen this article about Norwich. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52114292 I appreciate the government's offer was for all, but isn't it taking the **** a bit for football clubs to be using it in this way. Surely the money is really needed and meant for small to medium businesses who will go bust if they have to keep paying their staff, not for rich premier league clubs who are paying players tens of thousands a week.
  5. That looked like an ACL going to me
  6. Even though that was a clearer VAR decision, the camera angle is still WAY off. If they can't get a level shot it's all just guesswork based on those lines.
  7. I like how you're saying the linesman can't be accurate because they aren't exactly in line with play, whilst simultaneously claiming to be an authority on the subject from your fixed position in the stands which happens to be vaguely in line with where offsides sometimes occur.
  8. He's the Brett Ormerod of Ings' Beattie-esque goalscoring run.
  9. I don't think it's really that hard to fix. If it's SO close that you are having to zoom in and draw lines across a still image and then more lines up to their armpit/hand etc, advantage goes to the attacking team. If you can look at a still and see an offside without drawing lines, it's offside.
  10. If we're lucky
  11. They're now saying the refs on pitch are going to start using the screens pitchside, as though that will solve anything. If qualified refs with massive screens are making questionable calls, a ref with a tiny screen pitch side is not going to be any better. Using it for offside just isn't working. If they're going to insist on using it for offside it needs to be hawkeye level, factual, not a decision made by somebody drawing red and blue lines onto an off angle image. Or they should say that if you can't tell without drawing lines on it, it's not an obvious error and the original decision stands.
  12. We score when we want
  13. They have set proper ground rules. If any part of the attackers body is ahead of the last defender when the ball is played, it’s offside. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a toe or a foot or whatever. Just because you disagree with the ground rules doesn’t mean they haven’t set any. I don’t really see how they could sensibly measure it any other way. Or do you want them to say they need to be at least a knee/elbow or shoulder in front of the last defender?
  14. Yeah, I noticed that. Mostly tried to ignor it but having them show video adverts for Virgin Media and the highway agency during play felt like a new low for advertising at the football. Very American.
  15. There had been a goal within those 4 minutes so that would've added some on I guess.
  16. He’s poor but I think it’s harsh to call him a discgraxe, works his backside off whenever he plays
  17. He’s not saying they didn’t.
  18. Presumably because we were quite happy they kept giving us money for our players, because we thought then that we were able to forever replace on the cheap because of the black box.
  19. There are so many reasons that a player might have a downturn in form, and we just don’t know with Forster. Could be injuries, personal life issues, mental health, other health issues, who knows. If all of our keepers were that bad you would have a pattern and therefore a reasonable point looking at the coach, but given a keeper just won player of the year, you have no pattern and not really any kind of case.
  20. England’s second round game, lol
  21. Oh right, McCarthy doesn’t need coaching, of course.
  22. What about McCarthy? Has improved significantly.
