I agree with this. I think Fonte is class but he does try to cover too much. I can't remember who it was against but there was a two on two situation earlier in the season, as they broke at us, Aaron Martin was closest to the ball and gestured to Fonte that he had it covered, he was pointing Fonte to cover the spare man. Instead Fonte went rushing over and the ball ended up with the spare man, pretty sure they scored. Now it was just a case of Fonte not trusting Martin and wanting to help, which is somewhat understandable given Martin's inexperience. But Fonte does need to keep his discipline and not act as though he's the only defender sometimes.

It does seem as though international tournament football is better able to cope with no segregation than club football.

Fair enough, have to admit I was not a season ticket holder back then, and at that time lived away from Southampton, so perhaps my view of that period is not as accurate as it could be. I always got the impression he was a monster free kick taker but I am happy to stand corrected.

In half a season. Point was simply that Bale was the best free kick taker we've had since MLT, not Lambert in my opinion. Re the main point, I don't think we were ever a one man team last season in terms of goals, but we did rely heavily on Lambert for the way we played. This season we are having to adapt due to his comparitively poor form, and I feel as though that process is still ongoing.

I don't completely buy the "you can avoid trouble if you don't want it" argument. As if that makes it ok because it's easy to avoid. I left the game with my cousin, we walked through town to grab a take away coffee (to sober up) and then headed up towards the station (I live in shirley). Were walking along minding our own business when some lads ran past us trying to goad the pompey fans who were being escorted to the station. Pompey fans started throwing stuff and we were bundled along with these lads down the hill towards toys r us. It was hardly life threatening but demonstrates my point, it is quite easy to get caught up in this stuff even if you're just trying to get home. So to say the only people who are in those areas are ones who want to get involved is wrong.

Button: "Alonso title win would be tainted"

The problem with this argument, as always, is where do you draw the line. It is impossible to make rules for anything other than all team orders banned or all team orders allowed. Most people seem to be comfortable with teams doing it at the back end of the season, but that can't be written into the rules. Personally I am in favour of letting the teams do what the hell they like with their two cars, I find the tactics of it quite interesting. -
I would have thought the PS3 would recognise and download it itself if there was one available.

Did you manage to play the video? I just get "This content doesn't seem to be working. Try again later." Was the same yesterday.

Just back from holiday. Left the day after the Oldham game. Anybody know where I can get highlights of the Oldham game? would love to see that goal again.

For those who haven't seen it, the patch has been released. http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316/442145-f1-2010-v1-01-standalone-pc-patch-now-available.html According to the forums it is a big improvement.

Just seen the highlights of their game tonight. Wow. Just wow. He is just walking past top class European defenders like they aren't there. Amazing.

Have you been thinking that up for a month?

I dunno. The things people are saying about being incredibly fast at one track and then at the back for the next, team mates who are slower in qualy but much much quicker in the races. I absolutely hate stuff like that. Theres a poster up above who says he is 13th in one race but then qualifies 8 seconds a lap faster than anybody else at the next race in the wet. That doesn't sound to me like the type of problem you can dial out with the settings, it sounds crap.

This sounds pretty crap to be honest. Full of ridiculous bugs. I will await a patch and see what happens then.

Now we know why he screwed up Ted Bates #1

He was clearly also not comfortable with sculpting a person. Hearing him try to claim that the proportions were correct was painful. -

Guly is awesome.

I think it's a good improvement personally. My strikers actually get on the end of crosses sometimes, through balls are a bit harder, players finishing is a little better. Just a few things that are improvements imo. Also loving the personalised chants.

I have always found CB Fry to be quite patient and willing to accept others opinions, whenever he has told me that I am WRONG WRONG WRONG and then proved it by remembering things I've said a year ago, I've always thought how nice of him to take the time to enlighten me.

Tijuana Tim wont reply to anything unless you give him to opportunity to say either a) that he lives in America, or b) that he is friends with Ron Davies.
