Or maybe a subtle hint that he was looking to get away but he wasn't fortunate enough that time?
-
Goats, you'll learn fella, anything light hearted, self depreciation in terms of life as a Saints fan, nonpopulist or anything that dares to suggest we arent the greatest football club in the whole history of soccerball is considered trolling on here.

Good call. £14.5m, job done. Good old English squad playing in a 4-4-2. Pacy wideman, a good big 'en and good little 'en up top, couple of nasty bast*rds in midfield, happy days. We got our club back. It's happening, etc.

I remember him being abused and sarcastically applauded and cheered when he was subbed, can't remember the game but he did okay, even the echo picked up on it to say how he didn't deserve the stick he got.
-
Cattermole £5m, Kevin Nolan, £2m, Zac Knight £3m, Grant Holt £2m, Adam Le Fondre £3m (to pick up holties flicks) Nathan Redmond £4m (the pacy wideman) £14m and you've got a top quality squad. all we are missing is a full back cut from the same cloth as Julian Dicks, any ideas?

That's because morons can't understand the difference between large, swaying crowds in huge open terraces, badly policed and stewarded to designated areas with your own space. Safe standing would effectively be exactly as it is now, without the seat. In fact in the areas like the Northam and the away end for certain visiting teams it'll probably be safer as there won't be any just below knee height seat to fall over during a celebration. Sadly whilst the police hold all the cards and football fans are treated like second class citizens you'll never be able to do inside a football stadium what 1000s do at rugby, cricket and concerts every week.

I don't think they were. I remember in our relegation from the championship season he was given all sorts of abuse from the crowd, pretty shameful way to treat a young lad playing in a skint, crap team with a crap manager heading for relegation IMO.

Well you're not are you because only a week into the job you're already saying you'd rather have Cortese, hardly open minded is it.
-
NO pal, just using the same rationale that was used on here between January-March 2013 when Nigel Adkins went from being the greatest manager we've ever had, the next great England manager and the new Alex Ferguson to being a clueless, grinning bumpkin who was out of his depth. Well done on the Turds though, hilarious. How long did it take you to think that up Cul-De-Sac Saint? PMSL
-
How can you possibly make an informed decision when Krueger has only been in the job a week?
-
What happened to doing our business on private and not commenting on speculation, or that old hat now and the words of a clueless dwarf wop who was good in the championship but out of depth in the prem?
-
ha ha, yes! Also the free ticket on your birthday and a card from your favourite player. Remember going on a Junior Saints trip to Aston Villa away, we drew 1-1, the Holte was still terracing and looked huge.
-
Cortese was a short arse who wore built up shoes. Sue me.

Why so many rumours about our best players leaving?
Turkish replied to jasoneuelllfanclub's topic in The Saints
What is interesting to note is that none of the players seem desperate to leave, as we were led to believe they were only here because of Cortese and would go if he did. They are still performing well and seem happy, no sign of the predicted meltdown, even some on here predicted. Could it be that they weren't here simply because of the chairman after all? -
Ironic isnt it, that he was known for being a hard task master and a demanding boss, yet when similar demands were put on him he quit. Still, you're right what you say, he did a good job for us in L1 and the championship yet was starting to look out of his depth in the premier league so did the right thing walking away before we had any embarassing "i'd love it, love it" interviews in the fight for 7th with Man United this season.
-
Even a chairmanship chairman like David Sheepshank could see that a premier league sized club, with a premier league stadium, premier league fan base, premier league training ground and a host of top young players being brought through the ranks that had fallen on hard times and available for a snip at £13m was worth buying if a billonaire wanted to buy a fooball club. Lets not forget Delia Smith took Norwich from league one to championship too.
-
Thought you'd retired from here? You can't resist a kit thread can you.
-
I always said he was a decent championship chairman but not up to it at premier league level. Will end up doing a decent job for someone like Ipswich or Bolton.
-
Was on telly on Sunday, seems to be doing okay
-
This is virtually identical to the 'Ramirez wants fiorentina' transfer story last year, when all he actualy said was that they'd be a decent club to play for.
-
Better sponsorship and corporate sales for a start.

Again, that doesn't really wash, let's be blunt, we won't sell 40,000 every week, so let's say we sold on average another 4,000 tickets game, at an average of £35 that's only an additional revenue of £2.6m per season, a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things and there are far better ways of increase turnover than splashing out £24m on seats we don't need.
