My thoughts exactly.
-
We will tell them 'not for sale' like Les said we would.
-
I thought we didn't care what the media and other clubs thought of us? We don't need them do we people.
-
He might be a c*nt, but he's our c*nt, right? He's not here to make friends. Successful people often have to make unpopular decisions, that's how it is. What you can't deny is his experience, knowledge and vision.
-
Well why don't you say then, like you said you would, instead of being a snivelling dinlow.
-
Of course Les, its all all made up. Dorkish, get me everytime that one
-
I thought you liked to be In possession of all the facts before casting judgement, otherwise you give the benefit of the doubt. That's what you always told me every time I criticised Cortese. What's changed Franco?
-
Like ripping up your season ticket? good to see you've learnt from that.
-
I imagine training will be like the scene from American history x when Derek vinyard first walks into the exercise yard.
-
So you don't think Les Reed in his role as effectively director of football contributed at all this? What was cortese paying him for then?
-
Exactly Nicholas, he didn't have as much power when NC was here, if he did we wouldn't be lumbered with Osvaldo and Ramirez.
-
Probably Corteses finest decision was bringing les reed to the club. A man of honour and integrity who was happy to stay in the background doing the hardwork whilst cortese took rhr limelight. It was reed who brought us Adkins and Koeman, it is reed who is the driving force behind the academy, it is reed who whilst cortese chased our failed marquee signings such as Osvaldo and Ramirez, was working behind the scenes to bring us the players who did make a difference, Rodriguez, Lovren, Boruc, Clyne, cork, the less heralded but more successful recruits. Now he has been extrapolating incredible fees for players who want away after being lied to by our former CEO. Phase one of his summer project is nearing completion and we will effortlessly glide Into page two, the recruitment of players to replace the departures. Will it be success is still to be seen. However we couldn't ask for a More knowledgeable and experienced man to drive the plan and given his track record of success in-spite of Cortese you wouldn't bet against him now that deadweight had been removed.

Its afire sale then. Chambers will be worth £40m this time next year and Shaw will be worth more than bale.
-
Okay, so we're being asset stripped despite spending £17m so far with if links and rumours are true, potentially another £30m or so this week. Keep 'em coming
-
Pretty strange to spend millions on replacing departed players then. Surely her investment would be worth more by keeping the players and selling 'champions league ready saints' with their plush new training ground and top 5 academy in Europe churning out international after international?
-
I'm sure our moron fans will have a hilarious nickname for him by the time he joins, something like Tim Kojak, so just get that to save cash.
-
She's sanctioned £90m worth of spending in the last three years on players, with more to come, plus £30m on the training ground. Please explain what you mean.
-
Well we ain't going to sign a player for £20m, that a fact. Clubs of our size don't, we sign or develop players and make them £20m+ players. Asset strip me up.
-
Ŵe sold lambert for £4m and his replacement cost £7m.
-
If one more player leaves we know its a fire sale.
-
All the bell ends are out in force today I see.
-
My season ticket is not for sale, but if someone wanna to buy it there is nothing I can do to stop them taking it.
-
Not Brett, I was too busy running the wing, not joeying for the governors like you do.
-
Good man, now we're getting somewhere. So how do you propose we keep one of those right backs happy, competing for a place in our first team with no guarantees of first choice, play for a midtable finish when he can go to arsenal, earn more money, play in the champions league and compete for the top 4, and be faced with exactly the same scenario in terms of team selection?
-
Because you can't form an opinion on football matters so how can you form an opinion on if the captains bacon is cooked through?
