  1. how about Joe Ledley at cardiff. We need a winger and he is out of contract at the end of the season with Hull amongst others sniffing about. cant think of any links with this portuguese guy unlee they bith have a sheep fetish
  2. I want Pompey away. I just want to be able to stand there and sing to the tune of yellow submarine .. "we're all standing on a future block of flats". That would iritate the shyte out of the skate few.
  3. my eyes are dim, i can not see and i did not bting my glasses with me.
  4. After 23 games we gained 38 points which by my reckoning suggests we are a top 6 side. You post is ill thought out and clearly shows you are a first class idiot. its a real shame your father wasnt castrated before your were conceived it would have done the wrld a favour IMO
  5. He was there and I can confirm he was very excited when we equalised and also in the pen shoot out. Also heard soemthing interesting today that ML is buying a house in Chilworth. Apparently the one that Andy Cole had whilst he played at pompey. Clearly he is intending to stay a while and keep going to the games.
  6. So the which of these two words ... WINNING / LOSING best describes the team who progresses into the next round?
  7. Who's to say a player left out wont get injured in a freak accident left at home. Didnt beasant drop a jar of salad cream on his foot. Who's to say the player coming into the team to replace an injury wont turn out to be a game winner. When KD got injured I was cursing our luck but Bart has done a sterling job. Although if Lambert gets injured on Tuesday I think our season is over. Decisions Decisions eh, I guess thats why pardew get paid a big fat wad of money.
  8. Are penalties not used to decide who wins the game? Im 38 and have seen a fair few pen shoot outs and that was always my understanding, please feel free to update my flawed knowledge.
  9. +1. I agree what is it with people? Teams are now coming to SMS and parking the coach in front of the goal. A team of limited ability players with a a decent manager can be organised to prevent a good team playing thier football fairly easilybut leaving them with little going forward and trying to a nick a goal. The trick is having the ability to break them down and getting the first goal. Saints are clearly that team and after that when they need to abandon the tactic it generally means saints are good enough to go on and score more. When a team comes down her to attack and play football (ala Norwich, Charlton) we are allowed the space to play our stuff.
  10. Not impossible, I have a Southampton FC 2003 FACup Winners Car sticker. In fact at the time my mate gave me a box of 1000 of them.
  11. Actually its around 13k who will turn up no matter what. Remember last season? lowe? shyte team? boittom 3? -10 points?
  12. Glasgow saint , why are you constantly posting shyte just to try an wind people up. If i was a betting man id say you were a fish f(cking skate.
  13. Id sign - Simeone Jackson - £2mil Mellis - 1.5 (the boy has class and will become a really good player IMO whitbread 1mil
  14. Well I think its possible and wont give up untill its over. Anyone would think you dont want us to have a chance.
  15. Thats not true at all. I posted that connolly was training with us weeks before he signed. Also i remember it broke on here at the weekend about lambert and he signed on the Monday / Tuesday.
  16. I think we need to give Lambert a break here. He puts a real shift in up fron tleading the line. He had a game on the saturday in the cup and then plays on tuesday evening. On the other hand Wycombe had lovely afternoon off as they were already out of the cup. its no real supride that they were stronger in the last 15/20 minutes than the saints in my opinion.
  17. Ok fair point FF, We may not have caught the fish yet but at least we have bought a dirty great big boat with an effing huge net. Lets just hope someone works out how to get the thing into the water.
  18. He has to be banned from the cup game. IF preston recalled him this week he wouldnt be able to play. Its only an agreement between the clubs not the Footy league
  19. ON Sky Sports it came up as 82 Mins Richard Lambert made me laugh, unless of course that is is real name
  20. Personally I thought was a decent manager and was starting to turn decomposed sows ear into err slightly less decomoposed sows ear. Obviously the said sows ear was full of inbred tossers before and after his involvement. Overall I think the guy talked very credibly when interviewed. anyway no sleep lost zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  21. Well I have seen wotter at about 4 games this season and not all in the diredctors box so yes I think he probably did buy his own ticket.
  22. I have to say there are some real F(cking Numpties that write on this board that wouldnt recognise a proper footballer if they smashed the ball in thier face from 10 yards.
  23. Oh Come on FFS what you are suggesting is the very thin end of the wedge. Video evidence at the time would correct a wrong decision that effects the overall result of a game. Was it over the line, was it a penalty etc. If you are going to do that then what about a throw in being given the wrong way that results in a goal What about a offside decision that leads to a goal. What about a foul that was given that leads to a goal that when looked at again was actually a perfect tackle. what about a keeper getting a fingertip to a ball and a goal comes from the resulting corner. But upon inspection from a million TV angles turns out not to be a save / corner at all. Start with big decisions and where do u stop. Video evidence. No No No.
  24. As a kid I used to get taken to fratton every other week by my dad with my bro and sis. My dad supports saints and pompey. However my sis and I have been season ticket holders for years now at the dell and SMS and hate the skates more than anyone. At the time it was good just watch footy every weekend as a kid.
  25. I was thinking about this Henry handball and it occured to me that the calls for video replays goal line cameras etc etc to ensure all the key decisions are accurate is a load of old ********. The two problems in football IMO are 1) Teams with too much money in the premier making it such a one sided game where the small club can no longer hold thier own and challenge the bigger clubs. 2) Everybody gets to analyse every single incedent within the game due to the large number of camera angles. The common denominator for both problems is TV. I remember the good old days before TV (and Sky) infitrated the beautiful game. If you wanted to watch footy you went to the game and every incident within each game could only be seen once and at the same splt second that a ref has to make a decision. Blink and you missed it. Footy was a game of opinion, was it in? was it offside? was it a penalty? No bull**** analysis after proving either way. Simplicity made it exciting, ban sky throw the cameras away and leave footy for the people that love to watch it live and enjoy the unpredictability of our great league. Well I guess I can dream
