Have i missed something? Where has it been quoted that they have been having trouble proving thier funds? Personally i think they are haggling over price and terms of the deal. Simple analogy for me would be like me buying a house. its on the market for £350k and I can afford to pay it but will i? no chance, I haggle the hell out of the seller to get the best deal I can even if it means I say i cant afford the full asking price etc etc. At the end of the day there will be a compromise or the buyer will walk away saying its not worth the money. I suggest they comparethemarket.com SIMPLES!!

Im not personally in the know but a member of my family spoke to MLT today and he confirmed his group are the preferred bid and hope it will be done by Friday. He gave the impression he would be a figurehead chairman. The group he is involved with was meeting with Fry all day today. MLT said we will have a team to watch next season, dont worry.

I met and have worked with MSQ at Azzurri. He founded the company on 2000 -01 using a venture capitalist and grew it to 100million turnover over 6 years through aquisition only. He got booted when the company was rumoured to be in financial trouble and went through a strategic restructure.

Fry fiddles (not in the corrupt sense) while Rome burns

Just had a call - apparently the MLT group are in talk alls day today and hope to finalise and announce by Friday. MLT will be chairman if the bid is accepted. -
I heard a rumour flying aound SMS that Leon Crouch had personally donated a large amount of money to SOS that effectively kept the club going until the end of the season. The figure banded around was £500k but he wanted it kept quiet. If this is just bol**X then it seems strange that there was word coming from numerous sources including Fry that we were unlikely to have enough cash to play out the season. Figures of around £500k needed to be raised to keep us going. Now we are well over week after the season has ended and absolutely no talk of running out of money. Maybe LC has personally financed us until the buy out has been finalised? Anyone else heard anything?

The MLT bid is not in yet but s due to go in early next week. Source - Horses mouth this afternoon. He also confirmed Lowe is not involved with the other bid. He is also very confident that we will have a team to support next season.

We HAVE to fill the ground for Burnley

Anyone and I mean anyone who claims to be a saints fan and doesnt buy a ticket for saturdays game is a disgrace. There is absolutely no excuse for any saints fan not buy a ticket to save the club. If you cant go for whatever reason buy one anyway. 18k tickets sold for the last home game (possibly ever) of the season. It shows who the real fans are. -
I find it bizarre that many slag the players for having no fight at the weekend but most fans gave up the fight long ago. Lets hope the players dont read these forums.
-
and that could be spent on players. Last minute bids to save cash is the correct way forward for any of these bids IMO

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11666 Oh my word, it looks like my info was correct doesnt it muppet. The fact is that leon Crouch has personally phoned Nigel Pearson and in principle he has agreed to play. It may not happen if the Dyer rumours turn ut to be true but it is clearly being planned. LEts face it who else is likely to play us Man U? Ha Ha Ha Back to the bottom of the gene pool for you son. -

Ive just heard that heard from a a source close to the club (ex player - who has had a meeting with the administrator) that things are close to the wire. There is to be a benefit game a week Tueday with Leicester (provisionally agreed) to raise enough money to keep going to allow us to play at home to Burnley. Also he commented that the three serious bidders have little money available to meet the monies wanted for the club by the administrator. Sounds bleak, I guess we can hope that they are lowballing thier offers in a game of brinkmanship to get the price as low as possible. FV(k me Im depressed now. -
Nice to see the fans coming ouit in force in our hour of need.
-
Im remember everyone bayig for a new shiney stadium when we were at the dell for years. Build it and they will come they cried. Should have added to that as long as we are playing well.
-
ST holders who have supported the club through thin and thinner with thier financial support are getting rewarded, no probs with that. Oh but then Im a ST holder.

Decent enough, Shame about his lack of pace. He looks like he is towing a caravan at times IMO.

I took my boy at 5 for his first game to the Sheff Unts game last season. The only reason I risked it was because i couldnt get anyone to look after him. So 5 goals, a red card and a pitch invasion on his first game and now he is obsessed. He sat and watched the game for the entire game. stood on hs seat for the goals and ignored all the bag of comics, sweets and DS i took with me to keep him occupied. He is now 6 and has been to around 9 home games and one away (charlton) this season. He loves it and when I pick him up from his mums house this list of questions his hit upon me without fail ..... 1) Are we going to the football 2) Who are we playing? 3) What place are they in? 4) What place are we in? 5) If we win wil will be in x place above them 6) What colour so they play in Now everytime you mention a team I get those questions. (It drives me mads) I gave him the option of going to see the HMS victory and he said I want to go to Charlton away. On the way home I hear him singing in the back and turn the radio down and he has learnt the words to grab your fathers gun that was sung at the game. OH god his mothers going to kill me. MOral of the story is that I thought he was far to young to go to a game coz he cant sit still and has the focus of a goldfish. But put him in a footy stadium and he is obsessed with it already. So you got kids take em and see how it goes whatever thier age IMO you may be suprised. ST for us both next season woohoo

not only are you assuming that the wages were the same but also that Peasron would have got a better performance out of the same dog shyte players that JP had to play with. Remember JP didnt have saga, euell, JPS and Slacel at his disposal as wotte has had recently. Personally I think Pearson would have done no better with the same kids that JP struggled with for so long.
-
We can blame wotte all we ike but from what I have seen this year (and ive been to all the home games and a few away) , the players just arent good enough. I would hazard a guess Sir Alex would have struggled to keep this side up.

Thats utter crap. The rules state and only state that the club must go into administration to face a points deduction. To the letter of the rules we are breaking none. Clearly the issue is the fact the rules have been ill thought out and as such are open to interpretation. How the F is that our fault. It states nothing in those sames rules that if the PLC(holding company) files for administration that unless X% is related to non football related income then the deduction applies. What do people not get about that? Clearly I agree that we are benfitting from the leagues fook up but hey thats life. Moving forward they will tighten the loop hole to stop others using the same one. What is morally wrong with that? Should Derby face a points deduction for retrospective breaking of rule that changed after they committed the offence?
-
surely its 10 points or nothing as the current rules state? Why would we get extra points for saying we shouldnt get points because the club is not in administration but the PLC is?
