This was the interview that Paul wotton gave straight after the game on radio solent and e was clearly gutted, emotional and clearly ****ed of with his team mates. He certainly gave the impression he cared. -
I was chatting to some firends about the money needed for a defender. I remember as a kid going to alternate saints and portsmouth home games 30 odd years ago and at Fratton when money was real tight they used to have big drums outside for fans to chuck change in. If a decent player was to cost £5k per week, I personally would chuck a coulple of quid in the pot to pay for a player. Imagine a decent centreback? that would change the face of this side.

I spoke to Rudi Skacel a week or so ago and he said to me that the reason the move th Hertha Berlin collapsed because they wouldnt pay the money that saints were asking (not sure how much). When Ipswixh came in and offered the money Skacel said that he wasnt interested and wanted to stay at saints and fight for his place. Skacel was then told by Lowe that if he didnt make the move to Ipswich then he would not play for Saints again. So there we have it the reason from the horses mouth why Skacel hasnt played. On the positive side it surely cant get much worse before Lowe has to back down and let him play.

Killer is off to Italy on sunday for some rehab as his knee is hurting after training, so i doubt he will play saturday.

Hey Ive heard this information from this guy more than once. I doubt it will happen but its something worth talking about surely. Maybe someone else has heard the same things, maybe not. Im not holding my breath. My contacts from the past have generally been players now gone so my info is far less reliable. I used to get quality information from klaus , MLT and kevin Bond but clearly they have dried up

4 consecutive ccc league clean sheets, what defensive problem?
-
My sister was sat next to Svennson at a wedding yesterday. Apparently his knee is fine, it gets sore after games and he will miss the norwich game tuesday as he has played more games than advised this soon back. Overall he is really pleased with it but feels he will improve loads more as the season goes on. He is confident he will last the season, saints will get better and stay up. He really rates lancashire as the next potential star in the team and couldnt really understand why they loaned out dyer. Overall very positive and more confident than most of our fans.

BEcause he isnt a real fan either

Anyone else heard the "JP likes a drink in the burley mould" rumour? or is it just me that has heard that one?

Agree if we go down we go down, we can rebuild and come back at some stage. But if we go down and go into administration we get hit with a big points deduction ala Luton and Bournemouth and potentially go down again. Clearly the side isnt good enough but most importantly its dirt cheap and there is a chance to stave off administration. That IMO is the most imortant thing. The question is have we got enough about us to reach 21st come May.

I find it amazing how many people whine and moan aboutlowe, wilde, crap football , formations, the manager etc etc etc and then it turns out they dont go to the matches anyway. IMO your opinion is worthless and generally unwanted by those that watch and support thier team. get to the games or shut the fu.ck up
-
IMO our problems stem and will continue to stem from the fact that we do not have the personal capable of defending from set pieces / crosses. We have no strength / aerial presense at the back. Short of Killer / Thomas getting fit or an axperienced CD loan signing with these attributes coming in we will concede goals. As for the play goin forward we looked ok and will create chances. The last 20 mins we failed to string two passes together. The team were clearly nervous / lost bottle and it was clear that Davis had no option but to punt the all forward as the fullbacks had there heads down and werent looking to receive the ball. IMO we are a couple of experienced CB away from a decent side but the question is will we get them. Without them i fear for the confidence of the side and can see 100+ goals being conceded this year.

I believe I said IMO at least twice in my post you muppet

I was at the game. At the end there was lots of booing that IMO was aimed mainly at the team / performance not the ref. In addition the atmosphere in the last 20 mins consisted of negative shyte at every mistake or misplace pass. Personally I applauded the team off the pitch as I recognised the effort that the team put in despite the result. They got bossed by a physical and more experienced team. Personally I would have brought on Wotton at half time and not dyer and therefore consider it a mistake by JP. Some of the fans in my opinion are a fu.cking disgrace, these are 19/20 year old kids that are learning the game. yes they have talent but they will make mstakes. I see no benefit in sapping thier confidence by booing at the end and jeering / shouting negative shyte when a pass goes astray etc. Bollock to the people that say "I have paid my money I do what I like" and I say "Fu.ck you all and take your negative shte elsewhere." Like I say your a disgrace and should hang you heads in shame.

sums uo svensson perfectly IMO. No pace, Immobile and his timing was as rusty as it gets. I fear for him. Thomas looks a better option for me, he got better as the gamewent on against Brum. cork has to play be it RB or CB.
