  1. Phew! And I was starting to worry about how they were going to spend the Mane money. Good to hear its being spent wisely.
  2. What did our lot say? "We're the masters of building up your hopes and then letting you down in exchange for filling our bank account"
  3. If that's our new kit it'll be the first one I've not purchased since 1980. It's ****ing awful!!!
  4. Am I the only one who has a gut feeling that Puel really isn't the right man for the job?
  5. I'll bet you a cheese sandwich he's out of a job with us by this time next year.
  6. He'll be out of work by March.
  7. Ok, Maybe 'stance' is the wrong choice of word? Perhaps 'statement of intent' would have been a better choice? Either way, they did something that made him want to stay.
  8. Firstly, The decision on Wanyama would have never been Koeman's! Secondly, I didn't say the same about us selling Lallana and replacing him with Mane. I was never a huge Lallana fan and always felt he would be easy to replace, unlike some of the other players we've sold. Interestingly, I do remember people on here saying that Mane was our worst signing since Ali Dia after about 10 games. lol
  9. Koeman was the reason we were successful after the sale of so many players, not Les Reed. You just can't get away with selling your best players at the end of every season. Eventually it will catch up with you. I wonder how many of you will still be singing Reed's praises come the end of next season???
  10. Why are we selling our best player... Again? The big boys came knocking for Vardy and he decided to stay put. If a club like Leicester can make a stance then why can't we? We're into our third season of selling the crown jewels and it's becoming pretty tiresome. Every club in the league knows we're a soft touch. Who cares about fleecing Liverpool every season? I want to see us win something and that's not going to happen while we keep selling players and ****ing off the manager.
  11. He's a half decent player, but can someone explain why are we buying players when we are managerless? Does the manager not have a say in these things anymore, or are we heading back to the days of Rupert Lowe where the Chairman wants to be involved in the team selection? Look how that ended! Koeman's departure is making more and more sense by the day.
  12. So do Leicester City but they managed to hang on to their prize asset. If Vardy was a Saints player we'd have already sold him. What we are doing does nothing for the fans or the long term future of the club.
  13. I totally agree. I'm sick to the back teeth with it. Even the manager has ****ed off this season. He probably saw the list of players who were going to be sold and realised his position as manger had become untenable. We won't get away with it this time and in a strange way, I hope we don't. The board need to learn a lesson. How many other clubs would repeatedly accept this?
  14. If we go for him then there's something seriously wrong with the board. I'd see a move for Howe as nothing more than a money saving gamble. He's got zero experience when it comes to European football and as you said, his failure at Burnley causes concern.
  15. So he's been offered £100m to spend. Has anyone told him that £70m of that is coming from the sale of Stones & Lukaku? He's a ****ing mug for going there. Had he gone to Arsenal or a big European club I'd be wishing him well. But to go to a club like Everton in that manner that he has absolutely disgusts me.
  16. Southampton is where my heart is... Merseyside is where my wallet is. He's gone right down in my estimation. He's a bigger **** than Pochettino!!!
  17. Totally agree. It's soul destroying seeing half the team sold off two seasons on the trot. That said, we've improved on our league position year on year. That can only be down to one thing... Koeman. I can't help but feel that letting him go at this stage would be a major blow and the club should be doing everything in their power to keep him and install some stability. However, loyalty doesn't seem to be a word that features in the game these days.
  18. I don't think next season is in doubt. Will he sign a contract extension? Probably not. He'll honour his current contract and then he'll be off. I don't think he's ever stayed anywhere for longer than a couple of years. My money's still on him going to Arsenal.
  19. Just a thought... Surely the players who've just signed long term deals would want some reassurances as to whether the manager is staying put? Personally, I wouldn't put pen to paper on a 6 year contract if I enjoyed working for my current boss and there was a chance he was going to leave in a matter of weeks.
  20. Not sure about his attitude at all. Funny how he only really performs when it's nearing the transfer window and he wants to get himself noticed.
  21. Player of the season for me.
  22. Interesting piece on Sky that works out where everybody will finish if they repeat the results against the teams that they're left to play. We only took 4 points from the teams who we still have to play. If we repeat this then we'll make the biggest slide in the league, finishing below Bournemouth and 3 places above the drop on 45 points. Leicester will win the league with 3 games to go. Spurs will slip to 4th. Arsenal and Man City will finish 2nd and 3rd with WHU pipping Man Ure to 5th. Bottom 3 is Villa, Sunderland and Norwich.
  23. Totally agree. We've gone back to exactly how we were before Forster made his comeback. We lack any kind of creative flair.
  24. Totally agree. Sunderland will be right up for it on Saturday. We won't! We don't look like creating anything at the moment. I'd stick Targett or Tadic in to try and change that.
