  1. It was David Jones, Financial Director, in the club's financial statement, who said that players would have to be traded in the January transfer window.
  2. Why would we want him the way he is playing? Who in their right mind would pay £2.5m? Nobody is going to waste money on a player that is unproven potential, that would take loans and two or three seasons to bring through.
  3. It is covered Ron, could see it on the SSN video. The stands looked clear. depends on the roads, surrounds and car parks.
  4. And that, is just about it for me too. Lowe is not even from the same planet. He is one of those unique individuals who has no connection with the area, no empathy with the people, no idea that he is ever wrong, and unaware that it is contempt that people feel for him. A gentleman would have just realised he didn't fit in, and as he wasn't wanted would have just sold up and left.
  5. Money is only part of it, it's the dogmatic youth approach, especially early in the season, when the experienced players were here, fit and ignored.
  6. Any bets on it being overturned on appeal. If it is Riley should be suspended.
  7. Opposing managers can see that having James as the only wide right player of any description leaves us vulnerable. They push up the left back, play the left midfield on the touchline and reinforce with the centre midfielder, often into the space behind James. That makes us vulnerable to the counter attack and James vulnerable because he is often faced by two or worse a triangle of opponents with little cover. He is a good passer of the ball, rarely gives it away, links up well and puts in a decent cross. He is a better player than he is given credit for. If we played a proper 4-4-2 he would in my opinion be a lot less exposed and consquently play better.
  8. Early in the close season was the time to pick up those players that were looking for clubs. We had already decided on the youth team policy and paid for more youth, Schneiderlin/Forecast/Gasmi. Sadly we were not in the market for experience however cheap.

    Euell

Put him in instead of Lallana, it will give us a good experienced spine.
  10. Look at the gates of the two divisions below us, the gates of the bulk of the teams in the CCC they are far below ours in terms of numbers and the yield per seat. After paying for the mortgage we had enough to compete with most of those teams. The preponderence of youth all at the same time reinforced with more youth that was clearly not good enough was our big problem. A lot of teams are better than us with a much lower budget but with competent experienced 2nd and 3rd level pros. It was a mixture we needed. Gasmi, Pulis, Robertson, Pekart, Forecast, Smith etc were a waste of money.
  11. Absolutely correct because he would stll be capable of buggering it up with his unique approach to youth football.
  12. Never mind about position, manager, finance, in my 55 years supporting this club, Rupert Lowe is the most devisive and universally disliked person that has ever been connected with this club. Until he is gone and his shares disposed of, this club cannot move on. We have a deluded chairman, a figurehead chairman both overseeing a complete mess. It is this mess and the arrogant demeanour, micro-managing, overbearing control freak, stupidity that has hacked the average supporter off.
  13. The man is a foreigner with no previous connection with the country whose only previous connection with SFC was Rupert Lowe. I have supported Saints since the middle fifties in the old third division south, a regional mixture of the bottom two divisions. I can say without any doubt whatsoever that Rupert Lowe is the most devisive influence this club has ever had to endure. No man in this city has been so universally disliked. Anything that Wotte has to say on that subject should be ignored. He has no history with the club, owes his allegiance to Lowe, and has no idea what the average fan feels about his chairman.
  14. Quite! He wanted to stay up but Wotte waved him back. It was only at the last corner, and fair play to the lad he still queried it and was then told to stay up. That effecively placed two defenders in their own half and two midfielders came out to about 30 yds which gave our defenders more room to attack the ball.
  15. Lots of effort, narrow 4-1-2-1-2 doesn't give a lot of attacking options but is hard to play against. Swansea played with width and outflanked us regularly, but Saeijs, Perry and Wotton did much to shut down the attackers. What really hacked me off in the last half hour, we dropped too deep and stopped pressing in midfield, that really caused us problems. We also, until the last corner, brought all 9 outfield players back for corners, that allowed 10 Swansea players within 30 yds of our goal. We needed to leave at least two up with a full team but at least one up with 10 men, when McLaggon stayed up it took 2 Swansea players into their half and two more out of our penalty area. Most forwards are poor defenders and don't mark effectively anyway, I would like us to leave three up, which would probably take four to pick up and a couple of more out of the box, That would then mean 4/5 attackers in the box to be picked up by 7 defenders, and also allow a quick cearance to counter attack. I think Lallana is at present unproductive and is better used as a sub. Euell could play more effectively and stronger in that formation. Alternatively McLaggon would give pace and a cutting edge in that hole position.

  17. The council want's to spend another £1m on social workers, another spin session with no substance to justify this waste of money. I see two gay men are deemed more suitable parents than the natural grandparents. Kids under the supervision of useless social workers have been murdered. Sociology degrees and diplomas and no common sense. We need less of the useless bureaucrats rather than any more.

    Wilde

Never mind the spin, let his record speak for itself. Namely, brought in Hone etc. Promised investment-didn't happen, Resigned allowing the execs to vote Crouch etc off the board, how stupid and incompetent was that? Resulted in overspending and compensation payments. So who is at fault? Lowe for the long term stagnation and detrioration, Wilde for most of the rest.
  19. I'll see you inside then, unless there is anything interesting outside.
  20. Hi Ron, Are you waiting for the march before going in?
  21. Turn left, follow the road round, you can see West Quay, to the right/west end of the building, up the ramp, cross the road, hanger right to the roundabout, left to the bargate.
  22. Best of luck, I can't make the bargate, see you at the ground.
  23. If you are dropped off in the car park layby at the northwest / bottom side of westquay go to the end of the building and up the ramp at the side, cross the road, right to the roundabout, left to the bargate. If you are dropped off on the southeast/top side just go to the roundabout and left
  24. Lowe/Wilde etc are unlikely to sell at less than 40p which is about £12m. That's why nobody will make an offer.
