Spreading the payments over 4 years so that they can use the parachute payments to buy the ground is crazy. There are no parachute payments after this season, so they will have to find over £108k a month (close season as well ) to pay off the former heroes. That works out at 2,600 fans paying £20 for each home game or 25% of gate receipts before they pay their current squad, let alone Steve Bone.

People keep saying Coutinho has adapted much better, but he had a mare yesterday. It happens. Gaston has had more anonymous games than good ones I admit but I have confidence that the coaches can get him playing like he did in the Everton Home game on a more regular basis.

In South West France you can buy Bordeaux tickets in some of the bigger supermarkets, or print them directly from the club website. In Basque Spain you can get them at cashpoints, but I don't speak enough Basque/Spanish to understand how it works fully. Friends of mine got Real Madrid tickets through a reselling feature on the clubs website. In Italy I have paid on the day for tickets at Lazio and Verona. Hope that helps

Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
redkeith replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Lee Mason is obviously a code for Free Mason . Booked Osvaldo just because he had his picture taken with the pope the other day. Looked a good goal to me from Jay Rod. Thought we played well, but I think teams will target Shaw like PDC did today. Double up on him and take a booking to slow him down. Brave substitutions as well to really attack them at the end. -
Great performance, the new boys looked very good, and a good debut from Chambers at right back. Just outside the Champions league place on Alphabetical order. Bring on the Makems .

To put it into perspective, I have just bought tickets for Bordeaux v Monaco for €14 with a €2 booking fee per ticket on top, albeit in the cheapest part of the ground. That's good value for the first league game of the season. On the other hand a friendly between conference new boys Salisbury and the Skates development squad would have cost £10.00, so £18.00 for Real Sociedad is good value by UK standards. Wish it was at their place, as it's only 4 hours drive from my house.

Tottenham 1-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction

Robbed. No way we deserved to lose that, great hit but one of the CM's should have been across to block it. Bad set of results today. Michu probably out of the Wigan game and it's looking a bit grim. Just hope that a better WBA than today turn up at Carrow road next week. All eyes on Il Duce /Stoke now. -
Summer 2023, the PST crack the champagne corks again to celebrate missing relegation back to League 1 and so not having to pay Chinny his 2 million.

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
redkeith replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
We need a centre half who can cope with pace. Every time they attacked we were bricking it. We obiously need back ups for both full backs as well, Clynes ball watching is a worry at times. Not looking forwards to next week. Is Targget ready for the bench? They passed it much faster than us today. We need to up the tempo for ther rest of the season. -
Great performance again. Love Jay Rods ball juggling. Well deserved, bring on the Royals.
-
Appy to move to QPR to assist Harry and Clotteril. 4 clubs down in one season , you heeard it here first .
-
Would have been a travesty if the Scousers had got anything from that game. Everyone is a 9 out of 10 for that. Would have been a few 10's if we had taken all of those other chances. Could easily of been 6 or 7 one.

Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction

Plaed pretty well , shold hav taken one of the rebounds. The stream wen't down in the last 10 so will have to reserve judgement on the Rodriguez chance at the end. Pleased for Boruc. Good point, 4 clear, now lets get something from the 2 home games. -
Was anyone else watching Man U last night reminded of a certain Oscar Gobbern ? Nani's attempted interception was good, although it lacked drama of Gobberns Kung-Fu at Bournemouth. Oscar managed to travel some yards in mid air seemingly in slow motion as he attempted pull his front foot out of the tackle. Nani went for the more instant mid air leap, six studs in the stomach. I think Oscar deserves more credit, and just like the 'Cruyff turn' , any future marshall arts should be known as 'The Gobbern'.

I am coming over for the West Ham game . Hope your piles have eased up by then Sanchez/Dune . Did you not see the finish by Ramirez for the equaliser? . First mistake Yoshida has made in a long while, but never mind, hang him anyway. I am not happy that we lost, least of all to the media's darling, but I still have hope that we can pick up 2 or 3 wins to stay up.
-
Two bad bits of defending cost us. I hate Howard Webb, we never win with him in charge and Mbia committed about 20 fouls after he was booked. Had a bad feeling about this one all day, after 6 Music played Shady Lane by Pavement. The first time I ever heard it was the last 2.1 hoemdefeat by QPR. I will stay away from the media theis weekend as it well be all genius Harry. We really do need to work on defending long diagonal balls.

So how much are PST, the ethical option, going to increase the CVA by, given the £4,0000,0000 windfall that they have just received ?

Newcastle 4-2 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
redkeith replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Something for MP to think about, the way they stretched and isolated our defence, particularly in the first half. Newcastle are on the up since the transfer window. Must learn for this for next week. Fonte back to calm the back four down I hope. I am of down the lane to watch the league cup final, before the bed wetters take over. -
Brilliant goals from Rickie and Morgan, and bossed the match. Don't know what Davis was doing behind the defense for thge equaliser. Played the scorer on, not on the post just lost. Keep playing like that and we should be OK, but need to hold on for the win. One nil down with 20 minutes to go, even the bed wetters would have settled for a point.

Great point. Good Selection. Great spirit. Can't be in the bottom 3 before we kick off against Everton. To come back from 2 goals dowm against Chelsea is no mean feat. SRL in doble figures as well. One senetence paragraphs. I am not Neil Allen from Skatesmouth news, jsut had a few beers.
