would like to see Norwich stay up as it is a good away day venue. Friendly locals and places to eat and drink. But they won't. Got a funny feeling that Newcastle will escape. They have Villa (a) (3 points) followed by Spurs at home (who will have lost the title by then)

Saints management will already have looked at options for if/when RK goes. Based on the last two appointments it will be done quickly and out of the media spotlight. Agree that we should be able to attract another good manager. Normally clubs sack a manager when they are in a mess. We just get ours poached by the big boys.

Had the same thought when Martial scored for Man U. I was stood at the clock end in 84. Can't ever remember being more gutted after a game. I think it was that we had been playing so well during the second half of that season, and went to Highbury expecting to win. But then it was 10 v 11 all game as Williams was clearly unfit. Nice to see it happen to Everton

So 8th it is then. No EL - which is probably just as well
-
Think that we will finish 8th, so it's all a bit academic

Random change of topic. Watched Cambridge v Carlisle yesterday while dropping KWsaint junior off at uni. Apart from the pleasure of standing on traditional terraces, we heard the following chant during another piece of time wasting from a Carlisle player 'Dig a big hole and F***ing bury him'. Well we liked it.

Lukaku always seems to monster our defence. Would be good if he was out. He picked on Danny Fox when playing for West Brom. Not really a fair contest. Danny Fox ended up getting sent off out of sheer frustration

Seems like the sale of Carlsberg did quite well on Saturday... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isXntb4YywM/

Anyone know why there is no True Geordie vid on YouTube. Was looking forward to that one.

Going to be in Copenhagen that weekend (work sadly). Anyone know any pubs that would be showing the game?

Some parts of Hampshire are ****

Wanyama today was a mistake. He doesn't pass quickly enough. Once Leicester get back and organised they are very difficult to break down

Just back. We weathered the first 20 minutes, got on top, then gave away a soft goal. Spent the rest of the game passing the ball outside their penalty area, without really threatening. Schmeicel didn't have a shot to save. Then kind of gave up with 10 mins to go. Leicester are a frustrating team to play against. They are seriously well organised, defend for their lives, and then break quickly. Nothing we didn't know Mane should have scored in the first half. It was more that his shot hit the defender, when he should have just stuck it in. The Saints players didn't protest which we took as meaning no pen. No idea about the Huth handball as it was down the other end. The disappointing thing was that we were never set up to attack them. Pelle is simply not mobile enough at times and Cedric needs to practise crossing and taking throw ins. Could really have done with Long to inject some pace. A few shots on goal wouldn't go amiss. Think Leicester will win the league now. Supporters were a friendly bunch - think that they are still pinching themselves. Think that they will get found out next season. Lose a couple of key players and teams will work out how to play them. Just a pity that RK didn't work that out today.

I would like to see Liverpool get at least a point on Saturday. Then I won't feel bad when we win on Sunday. Got a funny feeling that we will get three points on Sunday.
-
do they? they must be **** then. she's alright. gets on with the kids and doesn't overly **** anyone off. unlike the previous bloke
-
Think we should be sponsored by Sony and then we can have some decent PA speakers in the stadium.
-
Why not just leave it as "I'd also argue". You clearly have a problem with NA. Most of us liked the bloke and thought that he did a good job for us. He got us two promotions, and the way that he left after NC sacked him was class.

As Norwich play both Sunderland and Newcastle in the run in, there is one scenario where all three of these teams get to 47 points. I really must get out more. So in theory we could still get relegated, but would need a massive swing in GD. So we need one more point to be safe for another season, or else hope that results on Saturday go our way. Fingers crossed. You can then go into hibernation and start posting the relegation posts when next season starts.

Posted on the thread for old men reminiscing about the sixties and seventies at the Dell. Which got me thinking about standing at games and ideas of safe standing. Seems to have gone quiet on this lately. Part of me thinks it's a good idea for part of the ground, part of me remembers Hillsborough and all the problems of the 80's Your thoughts?

Having seen my first game in January 1971 I feel a bit too young to post on this thread. But many of the early memories are the same. Getting to the Dell early to get a place at the front (East Stand - Milton End), the crush to get out of the ground at the end when there was a big crowd in, and the smell of tobacco smoke.

Couldn't quite understand why RK picked him last night and left Davis on the bench. -

To be fair we haven't had a thread on stadium expansion for at least a couple of weeks
