I picked up the following, which is a précis of the court summary The facts of the case are that Evans received a text telling him his friend had got a girl. Evans then changed direction and made his way to the hotel where he conned hotel staff into giving him a key and let himself into the room. He brought along two other men and they were positioned outside the window in order to film him. Evans then proceeded to pervgorm a second the semi conscious woman he found in the room and then had sex with her, at no point did she perform any sex acts on him. When the hotel porter became concerned and went to check on the woman his friend answered the door and denied Evans was there. After the attack evans left by the fire escape. The courts ruled that the woman did not consent to sexual activity, but the first man could not be proven to not reasonably believe she did consent so got a not guilty verdict. Evans however was shown to have no reasonable grounds to believe that the woman (a passed out stranger who had no contact with him until he performed sex acts on her)consented so was found guilty and later found to have no grounds for an appeal. How he still protests his innocence beggars belief. Presumably he thinks that because she did not object at the time (being too drunk) that it was OK. All he has admitted to is cheating on his girlfriend. I am all for rehabilitation and giving people chances. Ex convicts should be able to work. Just not sure that Ched Evans warrants it at the moment. He needs to take responsibility for his actions, accept the consequences and move on. Maybe then he can play again, but at the moment I would not want to see him play.

Would be possible if we won all 4 games and then were deducted 1 point for fielding an ineligible player. This is in some cases as is shown in this article: http://www.footballsite.co.uk/Statistics/Articles/DidYouKnow29.htm

Somewhere between 0 points and 12 points would be my guess.

I love the thought 37 games into the season of RK saying "it's been a good start to the season..."

I agree that it shouldn't be used to fund India's space programme but surely this is just a mismanagement of where our foreign aid goes rather than the concept of it in the first place. So instead of cutting it, we should either say what we want it spent on or, even better, buy the resources we want it spent on (teaching, food, building constituents) and then we know exactly where it's going. If you were in an ebola-sufferers position, would you want a rich, wealthy country to not spend on making them better? Surely if we don't we're saying we are superior to them? Tbf Ex Lion Tamer I didn't. See this is the problem? There is no one party that stands for my views? I am strongly against an elected house of lords but am for a review of how peers get elected. I feel the best solution would be a house full of experts from every field (science, medicine, economics etc.) who can advise on whether what the government want to make law is a good solution or not?

If it wasn't for Nick Clegg I'd vote lib dem in a heartbeat. The party is on the money as far as policies and the MPs are honest people. Tories have a horrendous attitude of "jobs for the boys" (I'm not just assuming this, I spoke to a Tory councillor who defected to Lib Dem). I completely disagree with Labours stance than a) there shouldn't be an English parliament and b) the house of lords should be elected. Both, imo, can't work. The West Lothian problem only really has one solution that all parties, apart from labour, can see. And UKIP are still a protest party for people who don't want to vote for the other three. The fact they want to cut foreign aid by 80% is obscene. So how do you choose?

Was discussing this with my Dad last night. They don't really seem to buy any of our players unlike all the other 'big' teams. The last one I can think of was Graham Baker back in the 80s. Can anyone think of a more recent one?

They never really wanted to play for Saints after being transferred to us.

Another Strachan quote, along the lines of 'I have a yoghurt in the fridge that expires today, so that's my priority at the moment rather than worrying about Delgado.' Delgado really was a waste of money -
surely?

Did we just get Sunshine blown up our backside.....
kwsaint replied to John Boy Saint's topic in The Saints
well I suppose the question is can you blow photons up your arse? I would argue that if you positioned a mirror at such an angle behind your arse that you reflected the stream of photons up this particular orifice, then they are, in some sense, being blown up your arse. this, I imagine, is what the OP was thinking when he wrote the title of the thread. yeah I'm on a different continent....
