Not at all, it's my opinion, on a purely subjective basis, you don't have to like, or agree with it.

Not a great game, but we won it fairly comfortably. I think we will see more games like this for the remainder of the season, less flair & more of a workman like performance. What stood out for me today was neither of the fullbacks were making the over-lapping runs today, there were several times in the first half, when Guly had the ball & he was expecting Richardson to be bombing past, only to look up & find he hadn't moved, leaving Guly isolated, or needing to play a square ball inside, or back to the centre-backs.

Because he was crap today.

Guly suffers from the ability to play in more than one position, he is possibly a jack of all trades, today he played left-mid, then swapped to right-mid for part of the first half, he then played in the hole, then up front, then back in the hole. He played ok in all the positions asked, not outstanding, but ok. He wasn't our worst player today, I though RL was pretty poor, but we can't say that, because he is Rickie. Unfortunately, it would seem that the knuckle draggers in our fan base always need a whipping boy, we've had a few in our time, it seems tha Guly is that person for this squad. How often does Lallana run up blind alleys, or dither on the edge of the box, before turning around and playing a ball back to a player, yet you don't get a mass "groan" from the crowd, as you do when Guly does the same thing. Another example, there was a point in the first half when RL had the ball out on the right wing, he had an unmarked player he could pass to about 10yards from him, he chose to put in a speculative cross, there was no-one in the box & he overhit it anyway, it went for a throw on the left, he got a ripple of applause, if it had been Guly the neanderthals would have aploplectic, and hurled abuse at him. Sometimes I'm embarresed by our fans, we would be a poorer team without him.

Does Portsmouth Football Club exist anymore, are they not called Portsmouth Football Club 2010 Ltd? Would this have any affect on restrictions/covenants in the former name?
-
The Pompey Takeover thread would be on 21000 pages by then.

Funnily enough there is, in 8 weeks time & 33% of the council is up for election. Something fishy maybe?

Colin W@nker is an anagram of Neil Warnock, according to wiki, it was "invented" by Graham Poll. (I really hope that's true).

Yes it is a crime, it's called criminal damage, as I'm sure you're aware any claim made on an insurance policy will almost inevitably result in higher premiums for the claimant (the victim), why should he be out of pocket because some little thug decided he didn't like his wing mirrors. I assume you are joking when you said he shouldn't be parking his car in a car park, and IIRC paying for the pleasure.

I live near the flight path for the airport & have been lucky enough to see/hear them fly past quite often in the last few years, it really is quite an emotive & humbling feeling.

To be fair, if a 10 tonne digger is falling on you from 20m, a hard hat will offer little protection. -
Something that terrifies me is the number of parents who aren't in control of their kids when using the pavement. When my kids were small they were either on reins (to matter how unfashionable it seems to have become), or they were holding my/wifes hand on the INSIDE of the pavement.

Without wishing to speculate on who's at fault, the relative expressing anger doesn't necessarily suggest the rider was a fault, it could also mean that the relative was in shock & lashed, out blaming someone else rather than accepting that they may have been at fault themselves. This is undoubtedly terrible news & at least 2 families have had their lives ruined. Rip

If he had missed any, they wouldn't have counted towards his goal tally.

Very sad news. As a kid I loved the Monkees, I remember they were shown during tha six week holidays, it was one of the things you could gaurantee would be shown, (along with Why Don't You, Banannasplit & The Arabian Knights). As others have alluded to they were the very best manufactured band, the early material was recorded by session musicians, but from rudimentary beginings (all four were actually reasonable musicians to start with, but not good enough), they learned their trade & evolved into a decent "propper" band, touring and realeasing their own music. Glass always half full? At least this year we get an extra day off for the jubilee.

It was called the Bosuns Locker for a good few years, it has now reverted back to The Juniper Berry. Don't upset the landlord though he's from a family of famous bouncers/boxers that worked the doors at Raffles, amongst other places, in the 80's. It has to be said he's actually a top bloke though.
