We dont need fox and Burnley dont need the money (parachute payments, so I assume they are ok). Thus it sounds like ****** to me.
-
But you do labour the point again, and again, and again. This is a forum, not a debating competition.

I think so. However, any sell on fee would be paid by the selling club, not us. So if the transfer fee had been kept artificially low to reduce the sell on fee I'm not sure why we are the bad guys.

Good point. It goes to a deeper issue though. I help people complete forms most days where they complete their nationality. No Scotsman or welshman ever describes themselves as British, whereas almost every Englishman use the term British. English people have lost the ability to be proud of our nationalism, whereas other British citizens feel able (rightly) to celebrate their heritage.

That is brilliant. I for one love it that we have a chairman with a lot of front. Only downside is that he is s bit too svelte to carry off the hardman look. Bulk up or ship out I say.

All fair points and fair questions. Personally, I think that there are more than 6 sides that are better equipped than us, both in terms of players, parachute payments and recent experience at this level or the prem. For that simple reason I think it unlikely that we will make the top six. I hope I am wrong but I have to let my head rule my heart.

Admiral wanted another 35% or so this year. Went to Chaucer and got it cheaper than last year. Result. Hastings were also competitive. I renewed Mrs eggs through them recently and got a cracking deal. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

Bit of a strange thread tbh. Whether someone is apprehensive depends on their expectations. I am not apprehensive, but I do not have high expectations. This should be a season of consolidation before we fine tune next summer ready for a real promotion push. Anything above that would be a bonus. My view is that we are in reasonable shape to achieve that. We are a top half side with a small chance of sneaking a play off spot, imo. If I had expectations of promotion then I would be apprehensive as I think that's unrealistic with our current squad and the quality of other teams.

3. The guardian article in the press predictions thread highlights what we are up against. I don't think we're going to be too far away from the play offs but I think this will be a season of consolidation, followed by fine tuning next summer.

Maddison is a coach at Darlington. Banger is the Marketing man at Aldershot and doing rather well. He also has fingers in other pies, ie bits of property etc.

You are plainly in the "I am always correct" group of people so instead of helping you understand a normal persons perception of racism, i am off to the pub. In the meantime have a little look at your definition and, perhaps, compare it to to a proper definition.
-
Please read the second paragraph of your definition thread. Your words are clear. Your definition is wrong.
-
Joined nothing mate. Just highlighting your warped opinion of racism.
-
What utter bollo cks. Racism can exist without violence and/or impulsive behaviour. Ffs. Of all the carp posted on this thread that is up there.

No. To suggest otherwise is like saying maize is different to corn.

Not easily. Most landlords want assurances the rent can and will be paid. I am a landlord. I also represent landlords. References, and credit checks, and bank statements are standard. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

You're priceless/clueless. They would never pass the checks for mortgage or renting. That is before we get into the why they should have to conform with your view of a normal way of life. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

So every traveller has the cash to buy a house? Wow. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

I'll tell him that I heard a rumour that we're bringing his dad out of retirement the fill the number 5 shirt. Interesting to see if that starts trending on twitter.

I've established that. I've also established that travellers are perceived as not being "normal" by the likes of delldays (seemingly because they are a minority group - bless him) and should give up their traditions and live in non-existent houses with non-existent money. It seems that some posters think that the behaviour of a few means that all travellers are appalling individuals. I mean, if the behavior of a few reflected the whole it would be easy for a casual reader of this forum to form the view that all saints fans are fascists. Surely nice people wouldn't be so judgmental though...
-
You can't just say "I don't care where they live". That's like a kid saying "just because" when you ask them why they don't want to do something. Yes, some travellers step out of line and I'm not condoning that, but they have to live somewhere.
-
That's fine, just try answering questions with reasoned answers if you want to get involved debate.
-
Do you mean Asa? Can't imagine he would be itk.

I'm not talking about asylum seekers. If you can't give a credible answer stay quiet.

I said sensible answers. Which houses? There is a long list of people wanting social housing. Government and Councils have no money to build more. Where would they get the 35 % deposit to buy one? Who would lend the mortgage? How could they satisfy a lender or a landlord that they could pay a mortgage? Why aren't they "normal" - is it because they are part of a minority group.
