They might offer £1 in installments, with Dembele or another unwanted player in exchange.

The timing of this (i.e on the eve of a match) does seem to suggest it's come from Spurs end, or another clubs end. Horrific foul play, but nothing we can do about it at all.

Because that's what he does.

Seeing as he's injured until 2016, I would expect this to be transfer trash.

Saint George we need you to save us here, just like you did before. Remember? God knows where we'd be otherwise. -
I love the last week of the transfer window...

Looks like Jose's tactics worked, and he's got more $$$$ to play with. Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri SUPERBOOM! Chelsea have offered 120m€ to Juventus for Pogba!Juve not keen to sell, but understand they won't get more 7:27 PM - 21 Aug 2015

Huh? You said Fonte and Pelle appear to have missed training, so I said it's unlikely that they'd have trained straight after that game - especially as they've played 90mins in every game so far this season.

Midfield / forward shape - not working, change it back!

It's falling on deaf ears for certain individuals. It's a convenient stick to hit the club with, for some reason some feel the need to do so. -
Wouldn't have imagined they'd train the day after the game, they'll train tomorrow I expect. Koeman said ''no injuries.''

To be honest, Shaw was on a different level. It didn't take him too long to knock Fox out of the team, which he eventually did. Whilst Reed and Targett look decent players, they don't look at the same level as Shaw for e.g, and they're a lot older too. You'll get stellar crops through, and then not so good crops of players. I don't think Reed is a bad player, but he's not amazing. Solid, but unspectacular. Same as Gallagher really, not the most exciting crop.

That team would be utterly, utterly destroyed on the break, time and time again. One recognized centre back. -
He was never bought as a starter, more as a replacement for the Djuricic/Elia roles. He is seemingly being eased into proceedings, Haven't seen enough of him really to make a massive judgement.

To say Bertrand may not return to the same level is incredibly extreme. He had a little clean up operation on his knee's. -

Only when their players rolled around because someone had stamped on their toe nail. -

I'd be quite happy with this, and I think it would be a lot more balanced and allow us more control through the middle. Romeu - Wanyama Clasie Mane Jay Pelle -
Or another way of looking at it is the quality isn't the same as it was (chambers/shaw). And we've moved up a notch.
-
Thought it was pretty obvious. Attacking midfielders/wingers.

Ward-Prowse was better than he has been recently, but the area he was operating in was just a little too crowded. We seemed to be playing him as more of the AMC type. (along with Mane and Jay by the looks of it). His set pieces were delicious. -

Cork was the greatest midfielder to ever grace St Mary's though, dontchaknow. -
Spurs are very silly leaving their business this late. He's clearly not going to be leaving. Nothing to see here.

I personally don't think we need those sorts of players, we just need to utilise what we have a lot better

What I can see, based on a very early sample of games, is that we are currently too slow, ponderous and inaccurate in our passing, whilst overcrowding the central AMC area and therefore there doesn't seem to be a great deal of choice for midfielders to select. We looked our most threatening tonight when the likes of Jay and Mane pulled out wide, and one of our CM's looked up and played it down the line - we need to quicken it up and stretch the play, we have the pace to do it. The agility and recovery ability of our midfield seems a little under par, people will say that's because we lost Morgan (fairly) but Wanyama needs to have a look at himself too, as he has been totally pants! He's the one in there who should be providing the legs in there, he can cover a lot of ground when he wants, but he seemed half a sleep at times tonight. We're not a bad side, we have all the tools, but we just need to tweak it here and there. I'd say that a main feature of our play over the last season or 2 has been the full backs, providing width and attacking edge. Neither out there tonight have that as part of their game - in my opinion. Yoshida isn't an attacking wing back, and Targett is just a defensive full back. We need to hope that Soares gets up to speed and Bertrand is back sooner rather than later, as I think we'll then start to see the team open up a bit more and express themselves a bit. -
Unless Reed is going, probably a no go. Has Koeman turned into George Burley overnight???

Absolute cringe. That club is run by Muppets.
