  1. Hopefully the club haven't spent all the season ticket money as they are going to need to pay it all back at this rate. What a farce. Open the grounds let people make their own decisions.
  2. Opt out to help out. if a huge percentage of season ticket holders simply Exercise the option to opt out of going to the games in Oct and Nov it will send a strong signal to the club that we’ve had enough, 4th year in.a row being embarrassingly shite at home. Can someone make up some stickers of the two mushes who gave back their season tickets when having to pay for parking (2010 I think) Getting money refunded for today’s game at least. the high line has to be stopped in games like this , teams will just let us have the ball and batter us on the break. Ralph seems to have lost it in the last few weeks. It felt like the Leicester game again at times today. Spurs weren’t even that good.
  3. Think I'll give them one more chance tomorrow, if it's another shite display and a defeat, combined with socially distanced mask wearing, taking a knee, I'll be opting out and having my money back for a couple of months in the hope some this madness clears up and can return to something more like what we used to have as a football experience.
  4. We've beaten Spurs at home last two seasons in a row, won't get the hat trick I'm afraid. Another goalless game, 0-0 or 0-1 to spurs. Midday Sunday bound to be a bit flat. Spurs played their first team away in Bulgaria and will still be travelling back now. Should help us but for some reason we look far from match fit and devoid of confidence. Armstrong back would be a big boost.
  5. That was a terrible game, straight out of the Pellegrino collection of inept home performances. Brentford are a good away side and we played into their hands, let us have the ball, we over commit , they hit us on the break with gaps all over the place. Tella looked like he'd been on the Stella with his positioning, midfield had no control of the game. Fitness looks poor. Confidence is low. Club seems in a mess with mysterious loss of sponsorship contract, shirts off sale. Highly paid wasters Carillo, Hoedt etc using up the wage bill. No cup run, not much for fans to get excited about.

  7. Let's not get too carried away on one poor PEH performance for Spurs, at least wait until after next week as he'll probably have the game of his life against us and score the winner. Sheffield United seem to have lost momentum from last season, Wolves played well but seemed comfortable tonight. No points for any of the promoted teams this weekend so none of them able to carry over the promotion feelgood bounce, although Leeds took a lot of credit for their performance.
  8. https://carabaocup.live You can also treat yourself to Burnley v Sheff United for a tenner on Thursday
  9. According to the EFL this game will not be available on iFollow so doesn't look like there will be any way for the loyal Saints and Brentford supporters to witness this behind closed doors spectacle, radio Solent commentary might be the only option to listen unless it's being televised abroad and we can get a stream. Bound to be changes, according to a Brentford mate he reckons "they'll play the reserves" so hopefully our B side will still be strong enough. Tight game , I'll go with 2-1. WBA or Harrogate is the prize for the winners, we'll know the outcome of that one already as they kick off at 6.
  10. It's happened before, particularly clubs like Burnley and Newcastle who did the double over us last year, happy to let us have the ball and sit deep waiting to counter attack. We struggle with that.
  11. Who were the only team to go undefeated at the 2010 world cup?
  12. When is Armstrong expected back? Poor game, watch without the crowd noise, it's awful behind closed doors games like that. Makes going to non league even more appealing. I predicted in build up thread that a Palace side with 5 defenders injured would keep a clean sheet. Typical saints first game of the season. Will be interesting to see the line up v Brentford on Wednesday night.
  13. You might be right with some of the ridiculous restrictions this govt seem intent on imposing on the people. Hospital admissions and deaths are minimal and "young people" who are testing positive are in the main hardly impacted any worse than when they have a cold. When you look at the small crowd Brighton were able to host at fairly short notice its still possible we'll have a few in October, I was surprised to read several clubs haven't sold season tickets this season but that actually might make sense as they can just do game by game depending on % allowed. Will be interesting to see if the saints promise works and we all get money back within 14 days for games with no fans.
  14. Missing 3 centre backs and both their full backs? If that's true worth a bet on Palace keeping a clean sheet. Will this be the first ever league game to be televised live on a Saturday 3pm in the UK?
  15. How many of the current saints squad have played for England whilst at the club? I think, McCarthy Forster Bertrand Ward-Prowse Redmond Ings Plus u21 Gunn and Stephens Not bad going really.
  16. Spurs game will definitely move from the Saturday, they play in Europa league 2nd qualifier round on Thursday 17th. It's only one leg hopefully they'll be away in Kazakhstan. September is a strange month as they are squeezing in the first 4 rounds of the league cup so the whole squad will get games early on.
  17. Thanks have signed. Premier league probably lobbying against it in the fear that once people have tried local non league football for a fiver they'll actually prefer it to the corporate atmosphere of the sanitised premier league.
  18. Hopefully we can use Koeman connection to get a decent loan from Barca like we did with Ronnie Ekelund. (Thanks to Alan Balls connections)

  20. Completely agree. Anyone with an ounce of business sense could see this mob were not a real business and hardly a name we'd proudly associate our club with. We'll probably never know the real background to the deal but it stinks of corruption like our "owner". I'd be happy to leave shirt blank or try and do a cut price deal with Draper Tools to take over the contract.
  21. Completely agree mate, clubs at that level completely dependent on having a couple of hundred paying spectators which represents such a minimal risk, clearly Sholing and Totton should be allowed to have fans now, if need be cap it at 500 advanced tickets if they must, just get on with it. Sholing seem to be part of a campaign movement , hopefully they get their voices heard and I might see you down there soon .
  22. You're completely right , it's nonsense and I think more and more people are waking up to the fact that this whole charade is ridiculous. I certainly won't be adapting to a "new normal" conformity, as more of us return to workplaces, travel , visit pubs and restaurants on Sotonian Rishis money off specials, yet you're telling me I can't sing and shout at football with pals, nah not having it.
  23. Don't understand that as they got to show more games, this will just encourage more people to find out how to stream games for free or on iptv and therefore use sky less. I've had enough of this mask wearing social distancing nonsense for outdoor spectator sport, from this weekend you can play indoors bowling, go to the gym, then the pub, fly on holiday, schools are going back in full start of Sept, let's just get on with it and open the grounds as normal for those who are happy to attend.
  24. Reading this thread got me thinking, not sure what's worse for atmosphere, behind closed doors completely or having 6000 fans socially distanced spread around the ground wearing masks with muffled shouts of Get it forward and bloody hell Redmond just hit it hardly audible. I really miss going to football but I reckon once in the ground I'll hate it. For those selected for this club meeting I'd definitely say don't just put every season ticket holder in a ballot, so many people I know would only attend if it was with particular mates / family. Has anyone who renewed actually received the £35 voucher yet?
  25. Any news on when fixtures will be announced for next season?
