You'd have thought West Ham will make a few changes for Tuesday, we have almost a week until our next game against Liverpool on Monday 4th, whereas West Ham play again on Friday 1st 5.30pm away to Everton. West Ham well organised but some sloppy play at times, we won't get much in the middle of the park with Rice calling the shots. Mostly likely result is a draw with our injuries I think.
-
Feels like a deja vu fixture this, we often seem to play them at home in December, struggle to break them down and lose by a single goal. I'm pining my hopes on Antonio being out (is he still injured) and Brighton giving them a very physical game tomorrow giving them little recovery time for Tuesday. I think West Ham are also playing Friday away to Everton so a tough week for them, whereas we get almost a week to prepare for our game v Liverpool. Romeu back and possibly Ings on the bench would be a good result.

Subs are irrelevant, none of those players coming on were going to make much difference. It's a shame O'bafemi has regressed so much, he scored a great goal in the win at Chelsea this time last season. Stephens played well, didn't miss Vestergaard. Diallo not bad but not on Romeu level. Massively miss a fit energetic Danny Ings up front, he'd have had a goal. We should have had a pen for handball. We'll be back down to 10th soon which is still good for the squad we've got.
-
2-1 Fulham I'm going for. Diallo v Harrison Reed will be an interesting battle, see who has more to prove. I can't see us scoring more than 1.
-
Disagree with this. Stephens for me. When did Salisu last play a competitive game of football? I'd like to see him in u23s or play in the Shrewsbury game first. We've already got Diallo coming into the midfield who has hardly featured.
-
Not sure it will have much impact, what happened to West ham when Moyes had to miss a few games?

Hope you get to a game or two with your grandson this year mate, although just going to uni shouldn't put an end to it depending on distance , I still used to travel down and go to all the games when a student plus you'll be able to go for a beer or jaegerbomb together pre match enhancing your Grandad / Grandson bonding. I agree these measures have gone well over the remit of the govt, they can advise and promote what we should do but this totalitarian covid cult has gone too far.

Plus Romeu, that's the spine of our team and best players out. Fulham have bonus of red card rescinded. Not feeling at all confident, can see it being similar to the 3-2 defeat there a couple of seasons ago. Odds on Fulham win look tempting. Weather warning for high winds, won't be much protection of that coming in off the river, New stand still a construction site. Mitrovic to score.

Yeah what are those seeds all about? Are they going to grow into some Chinese herbal medicine courtesy of Gao? The box and the rest of it is what they had ready to send out season tickets in, then realised they weren't going to be needed to sent them out anyway. Hope didn't cost the club too much.
-
Well it won't be our game, especially if Ings is out. Walcott and Adams are playing well in supporting roles but neither are prolific goal scorers. Unless Vestergaard gets a few headers and Ward Prowse is allowed several free kicks on edge of the box. Leeds are a team who enjoy a bit of chaos. Can go either way for them.

I'd prefer Redmond to Djenepo personally, and Armstrong back for Ings. Would expect Diallo in for Romeu. Fulham not a bad side on their day, should have beaten Liverpool last week. Anderson suspended and Lemina ineligible at least but guarantee Les Reed's son will have the game of his life against us. Any question marks whether this will go ahead with tier 4 restrictions? Idiots making the rules don't seem to have a clue so wouldn't surprise me If elite sport is postponed if people can't even pop round their mums to give a Christmas present.
-
Frustrating game, we were solid at the back and played well but definitely lack quality in the final third, for me Djenepo plays like he's not sure which end he should be attacking, hopefully Armstrong in for him next game. Not their fault but these young lads coming through are not showing any signs they're going to become first team players, improvement needed. What's happened to Smallbone? We absolutely should have had a penalty, I've had a strong hatred of that wanker Mike Dean for a number of years, he's stitched us up a few times and enjoyed himself again today. How the fuck he didn't give that handball when you compare it to some of the others he's given. Ings has not looked at it since coming back from injury and now set for another spell on the sidelines, we could do with some points against Fulham as very tough run after that missing key players.

If they win their game in hand United will be 2nd in the league, record 10 consecutive away wins, he can't be that bad can he. Seems like a decent bloke as well, much more likeable that Klopp.
-
Sounds like the club are expecting fans to contact them rather than actually cancelling tickets, personally I'd probably still try to go to the game but can see why others wouldn't with potential hassle. The whole country will be in under tier 3 restrictions or worse in January with this lockdown addicted corrupt govt so make the most of going whilst you can.
-
Feel sorry for those who will now miss out, We've got loads in Surrey as well. Thing is tickets are already issued for Saturday, not sure how the club are going to go through all the post codes working out who they can cancel in time to issue them to others, what a bloody mess this nonsense is. Hospitals aren't even full in many of these areas, protect the NHS , flatten the curve, all a big con.

3rd game in 7 days, this is when Man City having two top players in every position benefit , we'll probably play the same XI again, i think we used up about 3 seasons worth of luck in the 1-0 last season, don't think we'll get as lucky with the clean sheet this time, best we can hope for is a draw I think based on City's last two games they are not firing on all cylinders.
-
Frustrating game, we do struggle to break teams down when they sit deep like that, always the fear we'll get hit on the break and concede so i get why we are cautious. Was a decent performance all in all, predicted 1-1 pre match on the basis we never win there in the league, some things never change with us. Ings doesn't look 100% to me yet, perhaps a bit rusty regaining match fitness. Very tight table , we're not far ahead of 10th , an Arsenal fan I work with offered me £10 bet earlier they would still finish above us, reluctant to accept as deep down I think he's right.

Depends how old his son is, they weren't checking kids ID

This is the correct answer, we are only 6 points ahead of Newcastle who are in 13th place with a game in hand. From now until the end of January there are several 9 point weeks where teams can quickly make up ground, we don't have the squad to manage that. Top half is still a good result for is, Europa league would be amazing, would be nice to have an exciting FA Cup run.
-
That's how it seems to work, if same as what I saw last week you can download his ticket and send on to him , but they need to do healthcare survey etc before game. Would be nice if they gave a bit more notice, especially for shift workers not easy to move work Saturday before Christmas.
-
Yeah how disrespectful, if you're going to call out a player for praise at least choose one who has been employed at the club this season. Absolute waste of time punditry.
-
Agree, I've been to Arsenal away tons of times, was there for the win in 87 but since then we've been cursed (if not counting the league cup wins) last year we lead until 97th minute, sorry to disappoint everyone but we just don't win there. Similar to Goodison. A draw would still be a good result. 1-1.
-
The atmosphere came over really well on tv, for a minute I thought they were adding fake noise again, well done to all who were there, definitely an ' I was there' moment and Ralph seemed to get a bit emotional from the connection with fans. Strange thing is other than the 62 "every game " club all the fans will change for the Man City game next week so a challenge is to keep it up. From the fans who I know in attendance today general consensus was good albeit bit surreal experience. Sounds like the plan is to just use the Kingsland stand for now.

Yes some even have 10.30am arrival time! Doesn't leave much time for church on a Sunday morning, the club guide says nothing open on concourse and proceed to your seat to avoid congregating, I feel sorry for anyone in the front 10 rows, torrential rain forecast, they'll be soaked through watching Sheffield United warm up

Confirmed game will be 8pm on the Saturday night on BT Sport extra2. Will be interesting to see how the club manage ticket sales, FA cup so no season ticket refunds needed, would be nice if they give other fans a chance , especially if we're able to have 4000 by then, I can't see many wanting to go to this anyway.
