where do you sit? i thought the chapel end , as well as the chapel side of the Kingsland / Itchen, were quiet as usual. Even when they do get involved tends to be a lot of clapping without much noise. Not knocking them, it's just how it is, with the atmosphere contained at the Northam half of the stadium. having gone through a lull i think the Northam end atmosphere has been excellent last two games, which is pleasing, especially as one was a sunday lunchtime game v Swansea and other a comfortable win v Fulham, games where the away fans were very quiet.

yeah, i've delayed my decision on whether or not to go to Sunderland next week, will see after the draw tonight, possibles at the moment ; Manchester United Chelsea Leicester West Ham Stoke Spurs or Hull Newcastle or Manchester City going to be a tough last 8 from the look of it, no minnows like league two Bradford this year.

is there a minimum / maximum allocation for Arsenal? if there was an option for more tickets i'd assume we've taken them, seems like every single saints fan i know wants to go to this one.
-
Yeah there can't be that many season ticket holders who have 5 out of those 6 games (seeing as one is Barnsley in the Cup midweek) Do you know what the smaller allocation for this one is?
-
for me we have to play Lambert in this game due to the physical nature of Stoke's game , although I think this has changed slightly under Hughes. it certainly won't be easy up there , just got to keep on defending well, I've got a feeling it will be 0-0.

no, it was that cheap last year as well. Arsenal have the biggest gap between their Cat A and Cat C games, for the same seat for Man City fans it is £63, as we are unglamourous dull team we are lowest ranked and therefore pay less.
-
Last year we took just under 3000 - does that count as the full allocation Steve? i would imagine this will come close to selling out to season ticket holders with 2 aways from this year as we have taken decent numbers to all 4 (sold out) away games so far. £25 for what could well be a clash of the top 2 by then. anyone disappointed not to get tickets there is always Chelsea away the following week....double the price but if you want to do a game at least that's an option.
-
Fulham have never travelled in big numbers, and it should be no surprise if they only bring about 1000 to us depsite they fact they are offering free kids tickets and 4 coaches are free as well. not sure if anyone has looked at the number of tickets left, but as this is a 5.30 game live on SKY it should really be a C game for pricing as opposed to a B. I predict attendance will be about 29,200 . hard to know how this game will go, Fulham can be decent on there day, i'll go for a 2-1 win

he has yet to impress me yet, doesn't seem to be able to take on and beat a man, doesn't win anything in the air and can't hold it up with ball bouncing off him. fingers crossed he can turn it around and start performing.

I'd have loved to have gone to this , shame I'm on holiday. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10718644.Talking_Le_Tiss__The_Man_They_Call_Le_God/?ref=twt anyone who went in the 90s will find lots of good memories coming back I'm sure

if you want to treat your son to 2 games in 2 days Eastleigh v Concord Rangers in the Conference South is on the saturday afternoon, or go in the away end at Skates v Rochdale!
-
In a way don't mind if Lambert doesn't play to keep him fit for us, would be good if he can get on for a bit to get a couple more England caps to his name, having 5 would move him away from the one cap wonder brigade people refer back to.

fair play mate, that's a top effort, are you able to fly over and back in a day or do you have the extra expense of hotels etc? hopefully you'll be rewarded with a good win and a decent atmosphere for your boy, at least the tickets are a bit more reasonable for U11s being a Cat C game
-
Swansea are live on ITV4 this evening for anyone who wants to do a scouting report. Not sure how many of their first team will feature, but hopefully a few get knocks before our game.
-
the fact they are on sale to any season ticket holder regardless of away games, and will go on general sale tomorrow morning to anyone shows people can't really complain about tickets sold in order of games attended - plenty of chances to get on that list by going to games like this where demand is lower.
-
i guess we might open up more of block 43 once more home areas have been sold? often it's the last block to go on sale, and with low ticket sales at the moment they might not bother with it.
-
where did you see that mate? i can't imagine them bringing that many to be honest. had a quick look on the Swansea website and can't see how many tickets we've given them....however they are putting the away fan fund to good use by, wait for it....paying for free food for all their fans at St Marys!!! http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/southampton-offer-1048956.aspx

exactly, the immediate attempt to wipe him from history without even a thanks. no mention in the club programme and media were banned from speaking to fans at Everton game on club premises. I saw someone in ground with a 'thanks Nigel' card have in confiscated by a steward, how pathetic behaviour by the club.
-
If that is the case then plenty to go round and will make general sale - and so it should really at those crazy prices.
-
Tickets are now on sale to any season ticket holder, you don't need to have been to an away game before (complete general sale is Wednesday) - so anyone who wants a ticket should be able to get one.

Despite our league position I think it's actually been a very mixed start to the season from us. defensively good which is a good sign for the Swansea game who I think are excellent going forward , but for me 3 of our 6 league games have been below par, and we'll look back later in the season at Sunderland and West Ham at home and see them as points dropped. Swansea have already played 5 games in Europa league this season and I hope they'll put out a strong team on Thursday picking up some knocks (Michu) having rested a few players at Birmingham in the league cup and coming unstuck in a 3-0 defeat. I still feel we are too slow attacking sides and our midfield is static , hopefully Swansea attack us leaving more space.

i had a look on the official website a couple of hours ago and there were 785 seats left for tomorrow's game , mostly in block 3 (95) block 18 (122 behind goal) and other chapel / itchen corner blocks. with a few more sold today and walk up tomorrow this could well be a "sell out"

we certainly can't look at this competition as a burden on our squad, while others are playing European football etc ours have had breaks and none of the "first team" have really been risked in the first 2 rounds. hopefully we won't have too many international call ups in October and all players come back fit from that. we now find ourselves in the last 16 with some of the bigger teams having tough draws, a win at Sunderland and a decent 1/4 draw and things will start to get exciting.

Sunderland charged £10 a ticket in the last round v Peterborough , hopefully they'll do the same for this game , coach £25-£30 so could work out quite cheaply, would just be a long day sat on a coach getting back to Southampton about 4am!
