Everyone has known since the start of the season that we need a right back, left back, centre half and centre forward who can score goals. Everyone apart from the people running the club :-( Jan stated recently that he had to play strikers out of position on the wing due to the lack of wingers. This after loaning out our only right winger with any first team experience? My main concern apart from the lack of goals is Jan's lack of awareness of our defensive marking/positioning at set pieces that continues to cost us goals. He was after all an international defender who played in a world cup final. I'm starting to understand how he was nut megged by Archie Gemmel now.

Bit unfair to pick on one player IMO. Holloway on 5 live summed up our defensive problems when he said our youngsters didn't have a clue on how to mark players and defend at set pieces. This should be addressed by the coaching staff.

Jamie Smith is not starting for Shrewsbury 1st team and only on the bench recently while on loan to them in league 2.

That was my point too. It would better to nominate and vote for best 2 like was done for centre half.

Seems a bit silly that we can only nominate/vote for one striker? Mick Channon and Ron Davies are the best 2 strikers ever to play for Saints but one of them may miss out?

Jan said we have alot of wingers so Dyer could go on loan? The other week Jan said we were short of wingers and had to play strikers out of position on the wing? What right sided wingers have we got? Thomson not really ready yet. Smith left footed and not very good.

That seems to contradict Jan's statement when Dyer signed a new contract. Where is the proof of incidents at Sheff Utd or at Saints of his disruptive attitude?

Can i ask if you watched Smith last sunday? Or did you watch Dyer last season before he got injured?
