  1. Davis Cork, Perry, Pearce, Skacel James, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Surman Euell, Paterson subs Forcast BWP McGoaldrought Wotton Gillett
  2. Palace like most teams in this division apart from Saints had a proper centre forward who provided a physical presence and goal threat. Saints have the very limited Robertson and McGoaldrought who can't shoot, head or make runs into the penalty area. I've not seen much of him but i'd rather give Patterson a chance and recall White from his loan. Or give Euell a chance? or has he been dropped for threatening to make forward runs into the penalty area?
  3. We don't have any strikers :-(
  4. Agree plus the lack of a proper old fashioned centre forward who can head and shoot.
  5. Was Lowe here when Walcott left after coming through the academy system? He certainly was here when Wayne Bridge was sold soon after the cup final after coming through the youth system here so it's a bit hypocritical of him to criticise young players leaving when he was not here.
  6. Sheff Wed have the worse away defensive record in the league so hopefully a few goals from Saints.
  7. Labour Left Wing? LOL You will be calling them Socialists next :-)
  8. Nice one mate. That made me laugh. Quality skills from the striker.
  9. At last some common sense. Well said. Can't understand how so many people think selling Lallana and Surman would not result in relegation? Like above poster says Pearce has played 2.5 games. Gasmi has played no games at this level and suddenly he's good enough to play right side midfield? Holmes is injured. Robertson, Pekhart and Smith have not proved they are good enough. Which other midfielder left is going to make forward runs? Wotton? Gillett? James? Gobern?
  10. I'm glad he has stayed with Sampdoria.
  11. Exciting draw at SMS followed by another draw at Old Trafford and Saints winning on pens with Ryan Giggs missing decisive pen again and Kelvin running the length of pitch to celebrate in front of 7000 Saints fans after saving penalty :-)
  12. I suggest you read his book to find out how wrong you are.
  13. "Britannia, she's half English She speaks Latin at Home St George was born in the Lebannon, How he got here i don't know And those three lions on your shirt, They never sprang from England's dirt Them lions are half English And i'm half English too", Bragg, B, (2006) The Progressive Patriot.
  14. I'm pretty sure Saints beat Spurs at home boxing day when Hoddle returned to club for the first time and Saints won 4-2 at Chelsea new years day a few years ago.
  15. Davis Cork, Perry, Pearce, Skacel Lallana, Schneiderlin, Surman, Holmes McGoldrick, Euell
  16. If so he will probably join a long list of players of the season who leave soon after :-(
  17. They lost in 92 as well.
  18. As much as i hate Dirty Leeds, they are a much bigger club than Saints. I don't think Saints would get 30000 fans in League 1.
  19. Dig Lazarus Dig - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Sunday at the Devil Dirt - Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan 22 Dreams - Paul Weller Things that Roar - The Beep Seals Singles collection - The Coral
  20. My first footballing hero when i was a kid. Still is my all time favourite Saint
  21. Yep spot on. I also read that Hulme went home then began feeling unwell and lucky for him his family wouldn't let him go to bed/sleep, he went to hospital, otherwise he probably wouldn't be alive now.
  22. Lallana, Schneiderlin, Gillett, Surman.
