If true, do we credit NC for our 2 promotions? If NA is responsible for team selection and tactics, then he is showing up to be pretty average. If he's having all the decisions made for him, then he should stand up for himself and the team (unless he's just a yes man here for the contract). For me, he comes out of it poorly either way.

Yours is a great example of the effect different managers can have on the same group of players.

Derry, I reckon the 2 defensive midfielders are struggling because they've got too much ground to cover. What do you reckon of Monday night by the way. Foster had to use his weaker foot all game, but did we put him under pressure and force him onto his injured side? No, we didn't. Something else that a manager with a bit more savvy would surely have picked up on.

We can point to the appointments of Ball, Hoddle and Strachan as examples of getting out of the mire when we were up sh*t street under Branfoot, Jones and Gray.

I firmly believe the team could at least be harder to beat by being better organised.
