Sorry, I think his level is Championship. I would bracket him with the likes of Warnock, Bassett and Jones. Great at Championship level, but not for the Premier. There are better managers available who could do better with our squad. In my opinion, of course. I genuinely believe we could stay up with someone else. I can't see anything but relegation with Adkins, which is a great shame.

There are a few decent Championship jobs going at the moment. Maybe it would be better for both parties if the chairman and manager sit down and agree a parting of the ways. Nigel deserves a decent pay-off for getting us up 2 leagues. But honestly, I think there are other managers out there capable of getting a lot more from our team.

Why would he say that he was being true to himself and happy if he didn't believe in what he was doing. I don't think he is happy with how the season is going, rather he is happy with how he is doing his job.

Trouble with doubling up on players is that it leaves time and space for others. I don't think doubling up on Bale will achieve much anyway. I played the game at a decent standard but have no interest in coaching. I do not have any UEFA badges, but I did have the silver England Panini sticker badge in the World Cup '82 book.
