I'm not sure Cortese is the devil that people make him out to be. It would appear that he has a frosty relationship with the manager, but I've got it from good authority that the players get on very well with him. If he was this autocrat that he is being made out to be by some, and such is his relationship with Adkins, then surely the manager would have had his cards by now. Alternatively, he might not be ready to let Adkins go until a replacement is sorted. F*cked if I know!

Blackpool's owner was happy to take £11m out of the club in their Premier season, whil keeping investments in the team at a minimum. He's quite happy just to have gone up or a season. Different strokes, different folks.
