No doubt he's happy here, but would he be able to resist the lure of Anfield ? Klopp,Kop, tradition, most special fans with their terrace wit, (second only to the bestest), YNWA making your spine tingle every game, and of course those special European nights. All of which adds up to ££££

I wasn't the one suggesting the squad was fine without them. I was replying to the post from Nolan showing a depleted squad and saying "I don't see an issue"
-
Black Box didn't really cover itself with glory last summer though did it ? (with exception of VVD).
-
I certainly see a few "issues" there tbh. RB needs improving, CB cover is possibly weak with Yoshida and a largely untried Gardos returning from injury. MF is too weak by far. Two of your strikers are unknown quantities in terms of fitness. Apart from that, and the need for a bit of pace, no problems.

So bloody obvious that they won't think of it !!
-
Agree, what a c^nt, happy to do his stupid dance in front of the camera when he scores but doesn't want to be filmed after a defeat. Makes you laugh really.
-
Excellent viewing. Great to see some of the favourites on there again, Jaidi, Billy Sharp for example, two players who contributed greatly in short periods with us.
-
That groupof players won't be together much longer though, Klopp will shift many of them, Nivea and Lolvren amongst the early exits I should think
-
Let's hope it doesn't ! Not mocking your technical skills, but the design is a no from me.
-
Didn't bother watching the match, but 1-0 down at HT, coming back to win 3-1,does must count as "one of those really special European nights..." that the commentators always carp on about where Liverpool are concerned ?
-
Thought the allocation was 10,000 each. Not to say of course that the scousers have managed to obtain tickets through other channels, and locally on the night.
-
Looks Arsenal to me..
-
Depends if you want two qualifying rounds of Europa League or to go straight into the group stage.
-
Yes, only Pardew missing from the Liebherr era. KD also had the following managers, Burley, Pearson, Poortvliet, and Wotte. May have forgotten someone (SCW ???) Perhaps Burley was there, just slumped under a table.
-
Two other considerations you don't mention though - the manner of his leaving, including the surly sulking after NC departed, and where he ended up. Had he gone, lets say to PSG, or a less toxic club than the one he joined I expect the attitude to him might be a little less acrimonius. Yes, perhaps time to move on. I'll temper my view of MP, but that won't lessen my dislike for his current employers.
-
That's a nice photograph, and speaks volumes for the spirit of the club, and those involved in it over the last few years. Even Pochetino, who didn't have to come back last night. Gone up in my book for attending. * Pity he couldn't have shown a little more interest, enthusiasm, and respect for the club whilst he was our manager really. Don't suppose anyone saw Cortese there did they? *assuming not conducting early discussions with any of our players of course.

Not disputing what you say, but I'd be a bit surprised and disappointed if RK sees his future commitment at the club hinging on two players whose own commitment, and discipline has been questionable at time. Hasn't he publicly spoken about both and critiscised them ?
-
I fear we might have a recuurence of the David Connolly syndrome here : Austin could be the best striker/goalscorer at the club if he didn't spend so much time on the treatment table. Can we really go into next season depending on Austin & Rodriguez ?
-
Agree SaintTex. Unfortunately one of the problems that Pelle has faced is that he had to replace the irreplaceable Lambert, a recent legend despite the critiscism he had in his last year. Whatever Pelle does this summer, and if he does leave I think we owe him for the way in which he joined the club at a diifficult time and contributed in stabilising the club and taking it forward from the summer of 2014.

Wot d'yo expect, 'ee's a farkin plastic summah in'ee ?
-
In hindsight perhaps ! But we were only 2-1 up at the time, so if an untried penalty taker had blazed it over the bar, and Palace sneaked an equaliser in the last minute, would you still think so ? Pleased to see RK was so keen for the EL qualification.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Crystal Palace
Badger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Only 1-0 , but as it was in the 91st minute I think it a fairly sweet way to smash them. & Arsenal finishing above the NLY... Not a good predicament to find yourself in. -
And if Forster is injured in the first minute ? Or perhaps we should have two GK's on the bench. I remember Strachan had MLT on the bench v Newcastle for the last game of the season when he retired. Injuries, and El Morrocan-bloke's sending off after his tackle on Dyer put paid to that plan though.
