  1. "Louis Van Gaal" ? Just say it Ronald, "well, I think he's a bit of a c^nt, but I don't really want to comment.."
  2. Who is this bint monopolising the interview ? Typically, won't give anyone else a chance to speak.
  3. Perhaps they are waiting for someone to arrive so that it can be translated into Spanish.
  4. Who for ? Us or Newcastle ?
  5. I read he had a knee injury at the end of last season. Not sure of recovery etc.
  6. Would be excellent. One paper report here today though suggests he's already agreed on Lazio.
  7. Be delighted with that, although think we could do better than Armero (infact be pleased if we gave tht one a miss).
  8. Big Ron, and Jenkins wasn't it ? My father later told me of seeing Ron in a 'lock in' from time to time the night/early AM before a match, but of course 'times were different' etc.
  9. This is a point I've also been making for the last two seasons. In Ramirez's first season they were both too lightweight and we could not afford the luxury of them both. Last season Lallana played the form of his life, and GR was not going to dislodge him. Whether he and Tadic can both be accomodated remains to be seen. Perhaps Koeman can 'unlock' Ramirez's potential and fully utilise him whereas MP clearly could not. Ramirez does worry me a bit though as he needs someone to compensate for him by doing his legwork and defensive duties. Seeing him 'outmuscled' by Crouch at Stoke last season though did nothing to convince me that he is physically/mentally up to the rigours of Premiership football and his talents may be better off in Spain or Italy.
  10. Agree over this, and still think Pelle & Ings are the most likely strikers.
  11. Dixon & (the inappropriately named) Speedie. or even Dowie & Paul Moody. All courtesy of Mr Branfoot. He clearly knew a thing or two about strikers.
  12. Only for 65-70 minutes though.
  13. Linked "again" on 30th April. Presumably though, no further developments.
  14. You chaps should be pundits for the BBC. Far more informed an insightful than the usual mundane cllche ridden tw^ts they wheel out. You are of course correct, in that our last real 'offensive' in European competition coincided with the Norrkoping rape allegation. I'd never made the link before, so top work in doing so.
  15. I thought charges were dropped. That said, he still seems a sulking heap of trouble, and think we should stay clear. Don't forget he chose QPR over Newcastle for 'Arry's offer of mega cash, so in the unlikely event - it won't happen - of him coming to us, he'll be angling at his next signing on fee somewhere else from day one.
  16. Not to mention bringing in that nice Roy Keane to enhance dressing room harmony.
  17. soft goals - but behind a fairly porous defence perhaps ? As for a GK, I'd hope for the £ speculated on (£8m) we'd be looking for a No 1 , not a back up. If only a back up, then £3-4m for a improving GK such as McCarthy at Reading (as often mentioned on here) would be more sense. Personally, I'm hoping for a GK to go straight into the first team..
  18. Benteke out until January. So are we signing him to keep Rodriguez company for three months ? As stated on the JR to spurs rumours, would we be able to insure Benteke currently ? If not, the suggestion is a non starter.
  19. Some fair points in there, and perhaps you have seen or studied Marshall more than I have. Ruddy though to be fair has been rated quite highly in the Premiership for the last three seasons, so not sure that should be deemed "short term". Although last season I think he was criticised a bit for some of Norwich's goals conceded.
  20. Totally agree with you regarding those two. Jos is an own goal waiting to happen, and Yoshida is a 'mistake a game player' in my view.
  21. Don't disagree with the point you're making, but we won't recoup £15m for Osvaldo.
  22. Interesting comparison - Ruddy seems tarnished in Norwich's relegation whereas despite Cardiff going down, Marshall certainly had an outstanding season last year . On balance, and after last season I'd say Marshall is the better option, but as Watson knows Ruddy he is probably the more likely of the two. Both have shown in the past they can perform in the premiership, which can't be said of Forster, who for that reason is more of a gamble.
  23. ....and a manager who refused to speak English publicly for 14months..
  24. Neither of them wearing the watch. Perhaps Lallana had his first lesson in scouse customs to the end of last season and took remaining bastards up to Murkyside with him..
