...and Blackpool bid £650,000 for Puncheon, same article. -
Or perhaps he is just waiting for our bid...

If we are prepared to splash the sort of £ to sign Hooper then I wonder who else might be on our list of potential signings in that bracket. Sharp/Maynard, we seem to have decided against. Rhodes, although a good choice, is probably priced out of our reach. So, I still suspect a possible import from Europe, or a bid to test Blackpool, for Matt Phillips who is showing some form. -
Won't happen in my view as a)Celtic reluctant to sell, and b)other Prem clubs have previously been linked. I still think there could be a striker from Europe lined up. No knowledge, just a hunch.

Have we/are we appealing against the three match ban ?

Like you, I'm bemused by this appointment in view of his age. I doubt there will have been much recruitment on the continent whilst at MK, so can we assume this chap will be 'recuiting' at a relatively junior and local - or UK at most - level ? Personally I was hoping for a Georges Prost type figure for European scouting/recruitment.

Well worth a rendition at some stage...

Inadvertantly, there is another song in there, The Bangles " Walk like a Korean.."

Bill Green as on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Green_(footballer) a number of scouting roles, previously European scout at Wigan,Derby & Bolton. Anyone recall any significant success stories from there ?

Is he an ex player from the 60's/70's ? Played for Carlisle I think.

Not watching it either, but to be fair Gabby Logan is a good and competent presenter. Which is more than can be said about many who present football/sports on tv.

With him and Lawrenson on, you're always going to see a pair of tits on MoTD.

Dave Bassett -although only a joint caretaker manager. as in Bassett Hound. (sorry couldn't resist - but if you need a real one, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basset_Jhones , although a slight variation in spelling). -
Seems a bit of a Guly-Puncheon cross from the above descriptions.

very good ! keeping it on track.

Oh dear ! First night in Southampton, hope this is not a scandal to break out re smuggling two older women or geishas into the hotel. At least get established in the team before hitting the tabloids and Echo for the wrong reason.
-
I recognise five of them by name , although not sure I'd recognise their faces - or other body parts in some cases - if shown in the paper.
-
Think he had a rift with Lennon earlier in the season, so they might want to move him on. Not that keen as he does seem as said above a "poor mans AL".
-
Groves was of course a Branfoot signing. Alan Ball clearly did not share Branfoot's vision of how the game should be played, or that Groves was worth picking up his salary whilst permanently injured.
-
Sorry - genuine typo will change that before one of the easily offended brigade take issue !
-
not in the Bridle Suite then with his WAG ?
-
Hope his skills do for Japanese football, what Eric Canterna did for the French (see Neal Trottman loaned out in L1 again if anyones interested)

I too have come round to this conclusion. A month ago,I thought we might sign "better", and with greater potential, but now feel Sharp could make an impact immediately, Tadanari Lee - hope it is a spectacular success - but with work permits, acclimatising etc, it seeems too great a risk, and expectation of him.
-
Tadanari could be a good signing and become our mane attraction.
