Bought tickets this morning.Three travelling from Cheltenham - spare seat if Rupert Lowe wants a lift. Next problem - any sensible parking near the Madcow Stadium, or is it best to abandon the car on the hardshoulder along the M4 ? Not been to this ground although made a few trips to see Saints play at Elm Park ( 0-0 1978,good atmosphere, plenty of trouble in one corner of the ground *, 1-0 1988 Le Tiss in the FA Cup, and the 3-1 defeat in 96 when two were sent off). * bloke being led out from the Saints end by Police, and his wooden leg fell off.

And Rupert Murdoch heard about this two months ago..

Agree with you. If he wasn't a footballer he'd be breaking in to houses or inside. Always thought he was just a pleb, and the picture of his father in the papers today cemphasise it again.

Whom has he missed out to? I think he deserves it

Germany...restructure...recently ... They seem to do rather well at this, seeming to restructure really well over most four year periods since 1966. We on the other hand... As for 'arry, he is probably the current frontrunner on merit, but that is a major indictment of our national game, and the English nationals who have played and subsequently managed.

In order to gain popularity amongst his squad,Steve demonstrated his preferred technique for foreplay...." Oi start off wiv a quick buttock fumble at the bus stop like..."

Wonder if Pardew would be keen to do us a favour by directing him our way... or if NC would be happy to make the enquiry ?

It was never that polarised - key anti campaigners were Enoch Powell and Wedgewood-Benn from opposite ends of the spectrum. Wilson,Callaghan & Healey all pro-Europe.

It may seem pedantic to some but it was actually the European Economic Community (EEC, "The Common Market" as you correctly state) that was the subject of the 1970's referendum. This is an important distinction as it was a trading block at the time, not a Federal Europe that we now have thrust upon us with greater legislative power etc.

Some interesting points. Forward - despite our current scoring record,I fear we are too thin on options and an injury to Lambert or Lallana might bugger us. Defence - hadn't realised our goals conceded was near the skates level of things although not the first time in our history we've conceded plenty but scored a lot more. But who in the back four would you look to replace, and who would you sign for the No5 shirt ? Individually we might be hard pressed to improve on them. The FB's give me concern although Richardson was impressive on Saturday.Fox ? Not likely to replace him after spending £1.8m,although I'm not convinced that defensively he is better than Harding. I have been concerned over the GK's for some while.Davies made a couple of good saves on Saturday, but for a period at 0-0 looked a bit shaky. As for new faces,I expect we might have two by the end of January, but not before it.

Spot on. As the good book reminds us, "on the first day there was Tony Pulis.Who begat Anthony Pulis.." Another reason to dislike the f^cker.

Yes, at one point when the Watford player was alone in front of goal I instinctively reached for the handset to see if I could find the Coronation St omnibus edition instead.

The only thing better than the Albion Band is an RAF Dog display, with the laughing Policeman on duty.

Slight edit of your post which I agree with. Disagree, the current announcer just sounds a camp bender, and is an embarrasment.

Another Germanic thing to get to grips with, probably last as long as the 'Bremen corner' thing which I thought we might see this season at SMS but has not returned. Thats just to check that the bloke next to you hasn't fallen asleep yet.

I thought we had abandoned this a couple of years ago.We certainly don't need it for atmosphere and should avoid it at all costs.

Please change the thread title to "Togetherness as one".

I didn't used to have anything against them until we played them recently at St Mary's and had some disgusting fat adolescent voice the word "scumbag" - through his thick as sh!t east midlands accent -at my son, whilst another scummy little adolescent spat out of a coach at Saints supporters walking by. Vile plebs from an insignificant sh!thole, neither in the south nor the north. Hope they continue to spiral downwards on the course McLaren has set them on.

Poor Forest. My heart bleach's for them.

I can't stand Stoke, mainly because Pulis is a c^nt,and they play hoofball etc.

"...err, squad, wots one of them ? Stupid question really Lawrence".

Is this Dave Jones ? Or have they moved on to another;perhaps an acknowledgement that in the long run , greater things do come out of Southampton. When Cloterrill does get shown the door, I expect WGS name to be thrown around yet again.
