Glad to see Rasmus &Co doing their best there as well now. What is the Midas touch in reverse called, where things turn to shit?
-
Not sure it's just Sports Republic or anything new., although it doesn't reflect well on them. But we've got a long history of buying crocks. Remember Delgado, and Charlie George from the 1970's. I'm sure there were others, but those two stay in the memory.

Didn’t Phil Kite make a rare appearance for us there in a(nother) cup upset ? Seem to recall he clobbered Mark Wright or one of CB’s putting them out of action when coming for a cross.

Club perhaps seeing it as a reason for hiking the price next season as it gets more popular ….
-
Yes. The sort of stat that acts as quite a disincentive to go … we know how Saints can be the most obliging opponents

Alderman and sheriffs to save Southampton's identity
Badger replied to Stripey McStripe Shirt's topic in The Saints
A council spokesperson said blue lights were installed on the bridge as red had been considered potentially problematic for mariners and pilots. Photograph: Katharina Brandt/Alam Isn't the red light on the building on the left also problematic for pilots ? -
First time this season (I think) that the opposition had more possession. And we won. RM won’t be happy though.

Probably regarded as a good bet for goals being scored, at one end even if not the other.

Clearly Rasmus needs to be careful. He’s upset fans at SMS so may get some booing, and possibly a thermos flask thrown at him by a codger in the Itchen near the Directors box. At Goztpe he could end up on a kebab skewer. Wonder how long to piss Valenciennes off.
-
To Branfoot’s credit though I think he handled the abuse well. He always faced up to it, and continued to walk the touchline to the dugouts. By comparison, I recall Chris Nicholl started to watch the first half from the Directors Box when he was facing flak (especially after the dispute with Mark Dennis). He’d then come to the touch line 10-15 minutes into the second half, almost hoping no one would notice. Fortunately for him he did turn things round and his popularity improved.

Paul Moody to replace MLT!! Could have deprived us of seeing one of the greatest individual goals in the club’s history.
-
Say this for him, Rasmus is at least consistent in his ability to piss people off.
-
Lose the next two, and that will be six in row. Pretty loud alarm bells will be going off, surely sufficient to wake our dickheads up and call to action ?
-
Yes, I remember that but it was a fanzine headline, it certainly wouldn't bring any sanctions against the club though would it ?(being kicked out the league as you mentioned). Lets face it, Millwall are still in the league despite pitch invasions, and threats to life over a few decades. The headline was picked up by the national media at the time, I remember it was subject of discussion on Radio 5 as I think it was then. General conclusion was it was pretty shameful, but just the work of a few 'hotheads'.

Forest fan told me in the summer when we were linked with RM that in their promotion season they beat Swansea 4 and 5-1 from recollection. On both occasions Swansea had about 70% possession, and continued to pass it between themselves across the back four without going anywhere.
-
Sods Law we’d lose 1-0. Don’t forget Saints would still be in shock, and traumatised by the RM experience. Scar tissue Mk II.
-
Did it ? I thought it was all fairly civilised, holding red cards up and car park protests after a few matches (Port Vale especially). I don’t recall any disruptions to games,or pitch invasions. It wasn’t just the young and yob elements, but a lot of older (including grey haired old men and ST holders) in the car park after Port Vale.
-
Wasn’t it called SISA ? Thought it a good idea, but as I recall it was undone by a few conflicting egos running it.
-
No beard though (as far as I remember). If they do go for Smith at least they can’t go into the always our number one choice routine having overlooked him for RM this summer.
-
The club are good at posturing, and have been for some years on an off (No one better at ‘bluster’ than Rupert). But for all the talk, the objective is results on the pitch so whilst the Dyson blokes input in maintaining financial stability is great, he and every other fucker will be judged on RM turning it round. So from that, I’m not sure we are in control.

A book that is left to browse in what used to be called ‘the smallest room in the house’. Also pages are handy if you run out of bog roll.
-
I can imagine Rasmus and another (Semmens, or Wilcox) saying to him ‘that’s another mess you’ve got us into …’
-
Would be a good idea for it to be compulsory for some of the gutless fuckers in our first team squad to attend and listen to some of those players

The polarised extremes of shite.

Read his book. Well, perhaps the first couple of chapters.
